wow hi sorry im still not done complaining. i think my main issue with the films in conparision to the show and why the show is better is that like hannibal. hannibal felt like it had nothing to do with the core aspects of hannibals character. you could replace him w any other guy and it would just be some thriller/action film n honestly i wouldnt have bothered watching it. i checked it out bc i thought hannibal film!! this is so gonna be utilizing the unique aspects of hannibals world view and relationships that make his character appeal to me. and it kind of didnt. if that makes sense idk. as for clarice i love her but what the fuck did they have her doing in this movie.. what was going on really. i just couldnt take it seriously and it was boring!! idk if i have a problem but i struggled to find this film interesting

also idk if u have read the book but part of the reason that that was such a horribke unsatisfying ending was because the book ending is super different and so entirely sexist and disgusting that the writers that wrote clarice and her character relationships as they did refused to write it .......

and FINALLY i have not seen hannibal rising yet because ive heard it was long and tedious and similar to what youve said😭 but i do really enjoy the book so far. im not sure how different they are and how much of the tediousness is just weird translation from book to movie vs entire rewrite but i havent found it unbearably tropish at this point and id say im at least a third of the way through

Chapter 18: I Hate My Freinds

“Are you sure your ready to do this?” Emily viciously inquired of DJ, who just happened to be sitting next to her. (A/N: Remember, Karina is NOT narrating this she is NOT HERE hehe ^-^)

“Are you kidding??? I’m literally James Bond,” DJ said, popping the p. “I’ve snuck into like 15 classrooms already this year.”

“OMG ME TOO!” Emily said back in response to DJ.

“Ya exactly we snuck into those classrooms together,” DJ unimpressedly said. They both laughed at Emily’s forgetfulness.

“Haha,” she laughed, giggling.

“Ok lets go,” DJ said, immediately jumping into a James Bond somersault and kicking the door to the classroom. Emily crept in behind him, her greenish, hazelish, slightly brown speckled balls of sight gazing over the cold, lifeless, OPPRESSIVE, torture seats... aka... DESKS. (A/N: hahahahhahaha I hate school sum1 halp plz 😭😂)

“There’s no one in here,” Emily said after about ten minutes observations.

“Wow it’s not like I can see the exact same classroom,” DJ sarcastically quipped back at her in such a tone that only DJ could recreate.

“Just get to the desk,” Emily said, deciding to suddenly use her gymnastics skills to backflip across the room and onto the teacher’s desk.

“Wow I, definitely good enough for the olympics if I can do that,” Emily said, obviously very very proud of her recent accomplishments. Ever since she was two days and fifteen hours and 32 minutes old, she had wanted to be an Olympic gymnast. Gymnastics was her LAIFE!! (A/N: Chipotle is laiiifffeee heh XD). DJ rolled his brown orbs he used for seeing almost every day back into his head at Emily’s showyoffiness and walked over to the same teachers desk Emily was standing on.

“I saw Mrs. Bersbedasukeon put the paper with our group project partners on the third drawer from the bottom on the right said,” DJ told Emily, DABBING and pointing toward the correct drawer. Emily pulled open the drawer and grabbed the single piece of paper sitting on there. A piece of paper that could change the life of ALL THE NAMES ON IT. This paper would be the most sacred thing Emily would touch in a long time.

“This piece of paper is so precious,” Emily hugged the paper to her chest while violently popping her p’s.

“Just switch the names!!!!,!!!!!!!” DJ annoyingly said, banging on the desk to gain Emily’s attention back. Emily nodded and started whiting out a few names on the paper with... WHITE OUT; which she had conveniently stashed in her coat pocket and had just pulled out for this specific reason.

(A/N: okiiii idk how to describe this next part because it always plays like a movie in my head... if that makes sense... IDK. But anyway I’m gonna write this next part like a script so it’s easier for y’all to understand. Remember dailysarina cares about her followers!!! ;))

Emily: *quickly runs white out over a few ^convenient^ names*

DJ: *rewrites the new group partners aS THEY SHOULD BE*

“Good. That’s good,” Emily said as DJ forged the teachers’ handwriting. Then the super sneaky spy duo (A/N: “Nice use of alliteration” -Mr. Scoggins, my English teacher haha jk I would DIE if he read this lol xD) left the classroom until the next day.

THE NEXT DAY............,,....

I enter through the doorway to my art class, brushing my newly dyed pink hair out of my eyes and adjusting my lilac colored flower crown. ‘I wonder if Sarah will notice my hair?’ I wonder. Wait. WHY DID I THINK THAT?? Ugh this is so annoying. Sarah is literally the scariest person I’ve ever seen and yet I am CONSTANTLY worried about what she thinks of me. What is up with that?? It probably just because I’m a weird person, and that’s what weird people do. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

“Ew your hair looks like a fairy threw up on it,” Sarah quipped at me the second I walked in the room, without even making eye contact. What the heck?!??,.! Why is she so MEAN? “You also look like that girl from LazyTown.” OH THAT’S IT.

“Yeah, well... you look like Susie from DELTARUNE!” I screamed back at her, crossing my arms in satisfaction. I can’t believe I actually stood up to her! She didn’t get mad and punch me in the face like I thought she would. She didn’t even yell another insult back at me. She just smiled a bit, and went back to drawing a skull and cross bones on her ripped jeans with eyeliner. I skip over to a giggling Emily and DJ, who were sitting at the table next to Sarah, and sit down, fluffing the skirt of my light pinkish salmon dress as I sit.

“What are you laughing about?” I say to my freinds, who seem to be cackling about something I don’t know about. Are they laughing at me?? I wouldn’t be surprised if they were, considering all my old friends at my old school started bullying me for being weird. UGH! WHy is being weird so hard in high school??

“Nooooiittththhhhhiiiiinnnnnnngggggggg............” the blonde haired girl and the brown eyed boy said in complete unison. Ok, that was creepy, I’m just going to ignore that.

“I will now read out the partners I’ve assigned for this art project y’all will be working on,” our teacher, Mrs. Bersbedasukeon yelled at us. I really hope I get a good partner that doesn’t make fun of my pink hair. And I rreeeeaaallllly hope I don’t get Sarah. ANYONE BUT SARAH.

WHOOOAAAAAAAA CLIFFHANGERRRRRRRR!!! xD. Soz that this chapter was a little confusing but a lot of stuff that needed to happen so the story can finally pick up (I can’t believe I’ve written 18 chapters!!!) I honestly think this is the best thing I’ve ever written, but REMEMBER. I have NEVER written anything before this is my FIRST time trying fanfic and I really don’t want anyone to judge me. The only reason Oliver was able to keep his nerves in check was the fact that he was a graduating senior and he was going to a college out of state and he would never have to see any of his classmates or teachers ever again. It didn’t matter that he fucked up his lines in the school play’s rendition of The Music Man, what mattered is Oliver found the courage to finally audition for a spot in the show and got it (the stuttering mayor).

Oliver also planned to cuss out one of his teachers on the last day of school, but was having second thoughts...

As he was about asking Connor Walsh to come over to his house tonight while his parent’s weren’t home.

Connor was everything Oliver wasn’t; cool, collected, confident, and sexy as all hell. The air would literally leave Oliver’s lungs whenever Connor passed him in the hall or happened to catch his eye in classes. He was so effortlessly charming but also blatantly smug about it. Connor would smirk like he had a secret, raise his eyebrows sarcastically because he had nothing else to say to you, and spit the rudest, most painfully accurate insults when he was in a verbal throwdown. 

He was also gay as fuck and wore the metaphorical “slut” sign on his back with pride. 

Oliver was always torn about his silly crush on Connor. On one hand, Connor was obviously hot, and probably an expert in the bedroom, if the rumors were true. But on the other hand, the idea of sleeping with the notorious school man-whore wasn’t exactly a dream. And of course, there was the lingering thought that Connor would just never go for it... for Oliver.

But then again, this is what senior year is all about, letting go, conquering your fears, stepping up to the plate... at least that’s what Wes said while he and Oliver were creating their bucket lists day one of 12th grade.

As the days to graduation became less and less, Oliver began to wonder if he was ready for this. Or if he even wanted Connor.

Well, he did, but the thought of just having sex with Connor made Oliver feel a little worthless... although he’d had sex before and enjoyed it, Oliver was more of a relationship guy, not a quick fuck kind. Fucking Connor would do one of two things: get Connor out of Oliver’s system once and for all, or break his heart when he realizes he loves the guy, or something. Oliver was always a sap.

“Hey.” Oliver ran up to Connor after school, who was making his way to his car.

Connor turned and Oliver swallowed the spit in his mouth. That leather jacket fit him like a glove.

“Hey, Oliver, right?”

Oliver blinked, then composed himself. It wasn’t unusual for Connor to know his name, they’ve shared classes throughout the years.

“Yeah,” Oliver breathed, smiling a little maniacally. “I-I was wondering...” he licked his lips, looking down at the pavement. The sound of kids talking loudly and school bus air brakes nearly drowned out Oliver’s thoughts.

“What are you doing tonight?” Oliver spat out, still focusing on Connor’s shoes.

“What?”

Oliver swallowed and looked up. Connor was smiling. It wasn’t that sinister smirk he sported often, but a sort of... crooked grin. It went well with his curious eyes, which flicked up and down Oliver’s front.

“Tonight...” Oliver started, licking his dry lips. “M-My parents are out of town... wanna come over?” 

This time Connor was taken aback, his jaw dropping slightly, before he composed himself, laughing a little.

“You’ve hardly spoken to me for years and, what you want me to just come over and... fool around while your mom and dad are away?”

Oliver flinched away, feeling a burn crawl up his neck and ears.

“You don’t talk to me either,” Oliver retorted weakly, looking away again.

Connor went silent, watching Oliver. He sighed, hiking his back back further on his shoulders before speaking again.

“Well, I just figured you didn’t like me.”

Oliver’s head snapped up, staring at Connor, who now had a hand behind his neck, averting his eyes.

“Seriously?” Oliver wanted to laugh. Connor looked at him, frustrated and cautious. 

Connor shrugged, finally, dropping his hand and sticking both into his jacket pockets. 

“I don’t know. Everyone is always on my fucking business and so chatty, even the teachers, always asking if I’m okay and the straights wanting to drag me into the showers to experiment...” Connor’s eyes rolled. “Anyway...”

“Wait,” Oliver’s brows furled. “do you think I’m straight?”

Connor went still, eyes blown wide. “You’re not?”

Oliver shook his head. 

“Oh... I- I could never figure it out, I’ve never seen you with a guy and I didn’t wanna ask you because that’s just... too obvious,” Connor mumbled the last part, looking to the ground as Oliver had.

Hope and excitement began bubbling up inside Oliver, encouraging him to take a step closer. 

Connor looked up again as Oliver neared. He opened his mouth then closed it, mulling over something in his head.

“So, what time do you want me over?”

Oliver grinned triumphantly. “Whenever. Now.”

Connor chuckled, getting his mojo back. “Can I try something first, just to see...?”
