I used our geranium’s leaves to make “infused water” and everyone liked it. also we had the first cucumber off our vines.
#this part of the year is my favourite - bringing in posies of fresh flowers off the balcony#and eating whatever ripens#this year the crop is quite small - only potato tomato and cucumbers (and sunflower seeds but they're not looking great for some reason)#but the persimmon tree is full of green fruits!! so probably we'll have more than the half-a-fruit per floor that we had last year <3#I'm very attached to that tree#the year I came back for good it suddenly shot up from shoulder height to the second story#and I kept holding its skinny little tree trunk and thinking /I knew you when you were just this high/#and then it produced fruit for the first time the autumn after that#I've been here to watch it grow you know?#I don't get to say that much#thought
