Can you do the boys x a reader who likes to watch scary/horror movies. They'd watch anything from those really hilariously bad 50s scary/monster movies to real thriller & horror movies like psycho.

A/N: Hey guys!! Thanks for the request, I had so much fun writing it, I hope you don’t mind it took me so long-

DARRY CURTIS

As a show of his love and affection for you, Darry lets you decorate the Curtis house for Halloween!

I don’t think he’s entirely into the realm of spooky things?

Like I can see him as being one of those kids who stops trick-or-treating really young, he’d still walk around but only because of Sodapop and Ponyboy

For you though, he’d spend all of his paycheck on buying you any of the decorations you wanted and taking you to go see whatever haunted experiences you wanted

I don’t headcanon him to be the type to scare easily? Like jumpscares don’t really affect him?

Watch psychological with him though, he’d be into that kind of horror/thriller and would sheepishly admit that, yeah, he was a little scared 

SODAPOP CURTIS

Couples costumes guys, just imagine going to a Halloween party with Sodapop in one of those cheesy little couples costumes and every so often you catch him looking at you with the most love-sick smile on his face-

He scares so easily, I swear, everything makes him jump

If you take him to a horror movie, expect him to spend most of the film with his head tucked into your neck

Haunted house/place/experience? He’s holding your hand and the back of your shirt, laughing nervously because he knows the scares are coming

Sometimes, he’ll try to play the protective boyfriend and put himself between you and the scary things but it never lasts long

But y’know he’s never embarrassed about that and he’s not going to pretend like he’s ashamed of being a little spooked <3 you should love him even more for that   

 PONYBOY CURTIS

I feel like Pony’s kind of neutral when it comes to horror movies? Like he’ll watch one of them, but they’re never gonna be his first choice

He’s not gonna pitch a fit though if you wanna go see one, he’ll tag along if you want him too and talk about it with you later 

But all that contacting ghosts stuff? He’s weirdly intrigued by it and wants to look a little more into it 

If you wanna try one of those seance things? Pony is definitely your guy, he’s so down to try it out

Just don’t let Darry figure out what you guys are up to because he’s going to ask a lot of questions about why you’re doing it and probably end up telling you guys no-

Ponyboy will share all of his Halloween candy with you, no questions asked, what’s his is yours!

DALLAS WINSTON

I’m getting those vibes that Dally doesn’t entirely believe in ghosts or at least likes to pretend like he doesn’t believe in them

He’s also the one to pretend like he’s not afraid of anything and then let out a long string of curses and jump out of his skin whenever you step around a corner too fast and surprise him

Dontcha just love some good old-fashioned toxic masculinity? But that’s not important so let’s move on-

Dally’s not going to partake in any of your seances or ouiji boards (if those were a thing then) no matter how hard you beg him

He will sit by you and watch, sipping at a beer or whatever while he pretends to be not interested in what you’re doing, don’t call him out on it though, he’ll get all whiny and that’s not fun

Dal loves scary stories though, telling them to be specific, and he loves telling them to the trick-or-treaters that are unfortunate enough to cross his path

 JOHNNY CADE

Johnny will go to a horror movie? But it takes a lot of convincing and a lot of coaxing because scares aren’t really his thing-

Same with all your ghosty things, your fascinations that lean more into the world of the spooky and the occult

But he understands that those are your things! He’s supportive!

Johnny points out the new horror movies at the theater, likes to gift you silly little Halloween themed gifts

I can totally see him giving you like a little stuffed pumpkin or a stuffed black cat because they’re kinda spooky and he figured you’d like them

Thinks you’re super brave and a little nuts for actively enjoying things that are supposed to scare you but it’s all out of affection for you 

TWO-BIT MATHEWS

Go trick-or-treating with him and his sister, it’s gonna be one of the best nights of your life, I promise you

Two’s very adamant that she says thank you whenever the candy is dropped into her bag and you’re gonna see such a soft side of him

Then once you’re done trick-or-treating, the real fun starts cause you drop his sister back off with his mother (after the two of you take some of her candy of course) and go off on your own

Two-Bit’s into thriller movies! He likes scaring you too, so just be warned because he likes to mess around and jump out at you

But if you get a little scared, he’ll slide his arm around your shoulders and hold you close <3

Sign him up for when you try to contact the ghosties, he’d have so much fun fooling around with that stuff 

STEVE RANDLE

Steve’s kind of spooked by the whole ghost thing? Like if you want to summon them or something, he starts to get a little iffy

But everything else is cool with him! Movies, haunted houses, ghost stories, it’s all great, he enjoys them all!

Likes taking you to the drive-in without telling you what movies are playing and surprising you whenever they’re playing horror films

I feel like Steve would really love Halloween, I don’t really have a reason for it, but I think he’d enjoy it

Chaotic energy can be released in mass quantities on Halloween night and I think he’d get such a kick out of stirring up some trouble with you

Definitely start to build up a mini competition where you guys try to scare each other, it’s gonna be a lot of fun and a lot of laughs!  

TIM SHEPARD

Tim won’t admit if he’s afraid of one of the horror movies you drag him along to but he definitely enjoys the more laid-back ones

Not the cheesy one, he rolls his eyes at those and would much prefer to spend the time kissing over your neck and shoulder while you focus on the film

But he’s into the movies that aren’t entirely scary but do just enough to set you on edge every once in a while

Halloween’s fun with Tim! He will try and steal you candy from trick-or-treaters but then he turns with this little smirk when you tell him off and it’s really hard to say no to that face

I don’t think Tim spent too much time pondering the existence of ghosts and stuff before he started going with you but he doesn’t mind listening to you talk about how you feel about them

Supportive greaser boyfriend y’know? He’s not all the way into what you’re into but he’ll knock the shit out of anyone who decides to say something against it   

CURLY SHEPARD

Curly likes to pretend he’s all big and bad and not afraid of all your spooky, kooky ghosty things

However, Curly is most definitely afraid of all of your spooky, kooky ghosty things 

He can get through a horror movie fine, the jump scares are the worst part for him, but he likes sitting next to you with his arm over your shoulders

When you ask if he wants to come with when you’ve found some sort of haunted experience, Curly’s trying not to die on the inside

He doesn’t know why, but ghosts have always been a thing of his and he doesn’t enjoy messing around in areas where they might be

But when you’re asking with that smile and the excitement in your eyes, Curly’s saying yes and resigning to holding your hand the whole time because it’s clear you’re enjoying yourself

Hi I was looking for the a reply you made (not to me someone else) that was talking about which boy was which Disney princess and I was looking for that post/reply and I literally can't find it. I love how sometimes, because I haven't read the book or watched the movie in like long time, I will forget that Johnny killed Bob.

Since you are really into cowboys and the western aesthetic, etc, I thought you might like to see the western inspired outfit I wore to see barbie a couple weeks ago. This Barbie was a sheriff, the pink badge is hidden by my hair lol. Excuse the Gogo boots, as I don't own a pair of cowboy boots (sadly), my budget on this outfit was tight as I literally had everything else already in my closet, except for like the badge and bandana (which was like around $12 in total). I actually have old west inspired toy guns, and holster that were my dad in the 70s, but I didn't bring them for obvious reasons.

Side Note: The movie was really good, and just going to the theatre and seeing everyone excited and dressed in pink warmed my pink barbie adoring heart 💖

Also did you see Barbie and Kens western outfits that they wore in the movie, they are so great and fun!!!

I don't think you understand just how much I want to be their friend (the gang lol). Like I want to be their fun friend who has a personality similar to Ariels from The Little Mermaid, facially expressions and all.

I just want to show up at the Curtis's house everyday dressed in a different outfit every time, they would be mod outfits because I have a deep obsession with it (have gogo boots, and some more mod pieces in my actually closet in real life, I love it that much). I just want to prance around in my white gogo boots, colorful mini skirt and turtleneck, and 60s makeup just looking the prettiest.

And it just makes it better that I also have an obsession with (certain things) the 60s. As I've said I love the mod style from then, The makeup, the hairstyles <33, the movies, the tv shows, some of the celebrities, and the music!!! Put on 'These Boots were Made for Walkin' by Nancy Sinatra, and I'll just explode with happiness.

Tv show wise, I've started watching I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, That Girl. I have yet to finish any of them but that's just because I keep hopping from one show to another and get a little burned out after binge watching so many episodes.

I feel like I would probably force the gang the watch these shows, some of them might be interested in them but definitely not all of them.

I would also dress up as either Samantha from Bewitched or Jeannie from I Dream of Jeannie for Halloween, that would be so fun.

Anyway, this kind of turned into a rant about things I love about the 60s but I just love the fact that the decade I'm really fascinated in is also the same decade in which a book/movie, I'm also really fascinated in, takes place.

Little Rant:

I was just looking back on my middle school experience and omg it was so weird. (Other than covid) I literally got married at the end of 6th grade to my girlfriend (at the time). Like what amount of people can say they had a middle school wedding?

Anyway- how was your middle school experience?

Hold up, rewind, backtrack just a bit- middle school wedding? Are we talking like those fake marriages out on the playground or are we talking like an actual wedding wedding with like everything? Cause I think those are super different-

My middle school experience was rough to stay in the least? COVID of course, I lost my best friends, made new friends, went back to my old friends and lost them again. Made a whole new group and then lost a few of them. I started to do thing I liked to do though, started actually trying the activities I wanted to do. So I guess, good and bad?

I feel like someone asked you this, but I'll ask you it anyway. Do you have any plans for Halloween (if you celebrate)?

I actually get out early from school on Halloween and I'm going trick or treating with my sister, because free candy. I'm dressing up as a fairy (short white dress with puffy sleeves, fairy wings, small flower crown). 🧚🏼‍♀️🎃

Dillo literally right now I have so much motivation to write, which is crazy because the concept of a writer having motivation? Wild. However I have so much school work to do and a physics project to start. It is so annoying since recently I had a week off from school where I proceeded to do barely any writing because I had no motivation. I am actually annoyed.

Also just wanted to say that I appreciate your blog. I am kind of out of my outsiders phase (currently in my Great Gatsby phase because of English class) but I continue to enjoy your blog regardless. You have such a warm energy that I value. You keep that one link between me and the outsiders alive! <3

I go to the beach a lot, and to the pool because I really like swimming. my family and I go to this amusement park that's in our state at least once (its part amusement park and part water park), and then we go to this other amusement park near my grandparents' house a couple times over the summer. I always get cotton candy before we leave cause its tradition. I cosplay at least twice. I take an art class or a fashion/sewing class. Lastly, I do my summer work (sadly) which is basically reading 2 books and doing worksheets.

Steve-o! I think he’s an amusement park fanatic and loves cotton candy. I suggest doing your summer work when he’s not around because Steve won’t let you do it, insisting he needs your attention at every moment. Your grandparents probably think he’s a nice young man <3

Johnny’s dark eyes watched the group of Socs closely as they passed by. All of them were wearing rings, the heavy kind of rings that always spooked Johnny.

Y/N watched him, moving to stand at his side while the Socs walked by and slide their arm around his waist. The sudden contact made him jump and his eyes flitted over to Y/N’s.

They just smiled at him, thumb rubbing back and forth over his hip. “You’re alright, baby. You’re alright.”
