If you know me at all, you know that this photo is nearly 4 years old. But that’s not the point. The point is, this man smiling next to me has been my rock for those 4 years. He has watched me change my mind a thousand times. He has loved me through the days when depression & anxiety took over. He has supported me from leaving jobs that didn’t suit me to flying across the country to immerse myself in personal development, because even though it wouldn’t be something he would enjoy, he knew it would fill my cup. We fight like everyone else. We definitely have our differences. But he’s always pushed me to follow what sets my soul on fire, and I could not ask for a better man than that. Ladies, if you’ve got someone who is on board with you pursuing your passion...who supports your decisions & works on bettering themselves to level up with you...hold on to them! You’ve got one of the good ones 😘 BUT, if you’ve got someone who whines, constantly complains about your job/purpose/personal development journey, and is consistently bringing your energy down - it’s time to stand up for yourself. It’s time to set some boundaries. It’s time to tell them “I love you. But I’m going to do this, with or without you. So if you’d like to be part of my future, I suggest working on your shit, so that we can grow together.” Leave it at that. The one you are destined to be with with up level with you. It may not be at the same time, or in the same field (we are all different after all), but they will value you and your relationship enough to NEVER hold you back from pursuing your purpose in life.
