Im guessing once they shut down internet connection for pokemon bank theyre gonna change it so that it doesnt need to connect to the internet for you to use between the 3ds games, and same for poke transporter, but you just wont be able to connect it to home. Thats the only way i see it making sense. Unfortunately, decisions that make sense tend to be very uncommon and seemingly frowned upon with both nintendo and the pokemon company, so who knows.
