“What are you so happy about?” Jax asked as he walked in, even though he already knew the answer. The band was finally going back on tour. After a year-long hiatus, it was happening—and he’d been waiting for this comeback longer than he cared to admit. Still, on the outside, he played it cool, calm as ever. He ran a hand over his buzzed hair, then dropped onto the couch with a satisfied sigh.

Jax and Anjali had been working together for a few months now. Janice—the band’s manager—had brought her on because of her sharp eye for style. And damn if she hadn’t nailed it. After that first show, fans couldn’t stop talking about the costumes.
