"I know I probably sound a little bit biased, but our mixed genetics? Top tier. Those babies are good looking little geniuses, they're gonna be freaking unstoppable," Lennon stepped up behind Liam, wrapping his arms around his best friend's waist and resting his chin on the other's shoulder with a grin. "Onyx crawled backwards today. Crawling forwards is, like, just around the corner, I can feel it." The other twin had been crawling for almost a week now, which was funny to Lennon. He hadn't really thought about the fact that the twins wouldn't be doing the exact same thing at the exact same time. And he was a little nervous about when they were both mobile, because that realization came with the new one that the twins were likely going to be moving in different directions. "How are you doing?" He asked after a silent moment or two, leaning his head so it was his cheek on Liam's shoulder, eyes searching his expression.

Lennon gave in to the moment, his breath catching and muscles tensing as he reached his own climax. He couldn't stop himself from moaning aloud, though he tried to keep it quiet enough not to alert the entire house as to what they were up to. And then he felt his body relaxing all at once, every tense muscle letting go at the same time, and with an almost sleepy smile, he looked down at Liam, leaning into him. His arms stayed wrapped around the other, though a little more loosely, and he blushed to see that Liam was staring up at him. Bashfully, he rested his forehead on the other's shoulder and laughed quietly.
Their kisses became frantic breathy things as Liam felt himself nearing the edge. His grip on Lennon tightened as they kept the pace that was pushing them both. He wanted to flip them both, pin Lennon down onto the bed and give him everything he had but he wanted Lennon to feel in control. He was practically glowing sat there astride him. As much as Liam wanted to thrust into Lennon in a position that would make his eyes roll he also knew the importance of letting Lennon build that confidence back. Ultimately it was that confidence more than anything that was a turn on.
Moving his head back so he could look at Lennon, he wanted to see his face when he was pushed over the edge.

Lennon was lighting a candle when he felt new eyes on him, and he turned to see Liam entering the room. Grinning, he shook out the match he'd been using, and dropped it on the surface next to the candle. "The twins are fed, clean, and in a safe space," he said, pointing at the playpen he'd set up with some of their favorite toys, both infants happily slobbering and cooing away. "You've got my undivided attention for as long as you'll have it," he added, opening his arms to the other.

It wasn't like Emrys was known for being a big ole softie. In fact, he was pretty sure nobody had ever entrusted him alone with small children. He wasn't really a responsible adult. Hell, he wasn't even a responsible child. He was one of the most irresponsible people he knew, even he could admit that. But when he saw the little crawling thing on the ground when nobody else seemed to, he couldn't just leave it there.
"C'mere, you," he mumbled, scooping up the small child, who giggled and cooed as if nothing could hurt it. Emrys wrinkled his nose as he stared at it, though he knew it looked familiar. It was definitely a commune baby, one of the twins that belonged to those ghost hunters, or whatever they were.
Thankfully, it didn't take him long to find Liam, maybe fifteen minutes altogether. And he poked him in the shoulder to get him to turn around, nodding pointedly towards the baby he was holding. And holding awkwardly, at that, both hands supporting the thing's heavier lower half while Onyx' hands waved about and he laughed at whatever the hell he thought Emrys was doing that was so funny. "This is yours, right?" He asked, raising his eyebrows as he looked at the other.

Lennon loved festivals like this, he had his whole life. He remembered his sister helping him dress up like a knight for the renaissance faire when he was only seven years old, and he remembered how proud he'd been to strut down the street in his costume in broad daylight. He'd always liked dressing up.
On some level he knew he could've dressed up for this. Even with his belly, heavy and round, he could've worn some sort of tunic and made it work. Maybe walked around with a novelty mug, pretend to be a medieval drunkard or something. But instead, he hadn't even tried. Lennon had just glared at Liam, let himself feel jealous about the showmanship he presented, and then used a rubber band to keep his jeans closed under his stomach. "Why does it have to be so hot today?" He complained, hands moving as he spoke, and making a face at Liam. "I'm gonna melt, dude."

Lennon looked at Liam and smiled bashfully, shrugging. "I just missed her. I never would've made it into adulthood without her, so she's, like, important," he explained shortly. There was a lot more to it than that, but Lennon didn't talk about it much, and anyway Liam was one of the only people in his life he'd told almost everything to before.
As soon as he'd hugged Alex, he pulled away and dropped into a squat, one hand grabbing the doorframe to balance himself with the baby strapped to his chest. Then he pulled his hand away to sign, not even bothering to use his voice as he looked excitedly at his niece. 'How did you get so tall?!?!' Hearing Liam's joke, he frowned slightly and glanced upwards, chewing anxiously on his lip for just a moment before he brought his attention back to Penny.
"It has been forever since I've seen you this excited." Liam chuckled, holding onto Onyx as they waited for Alex to open the door. He was so happy for Lennon to get Alex back in his life. Alex was probably the only person who loved Lennon more than he did and he only knew this because if he tried to say it was any other way Alex would probably fight him.
There was a squeal of unbridled joy from inside the house and soon Alex was opening the door with a giddy little girl behind her. "Hey guys. Liam it's good to see you, thank you for keeping my brother alive." She hugged him carefully, making sure not to squish the baby.
"Well we both know losing him would be like losing a leg but I also kind accidentally got him pregnant so I at least owe you that." Liam joked, hands signing along as had become common practice around Alex and Penny.

Lennon reached for Alex's arm, gripping her tightly. "I can't mess this up, Alex. I can't lose them, they're the only thing keeping me going," he said, trembling.
As soon as Liam collided with him, Lennon's world started going too fast. He felt like he couldn't keep up, and he sort of wanted to sit down and wait until things weren't moving so quickly. He heard Emrys and Onyx and then words like unhappy and selfish, and there were too many thoughts all colliding in his head. Definitely too many to convey all at once. His own breathing had slowed to something almost normal as he stared at Liam, his expression equal parts confused and horrified. "I...I love you," he replied slowly, brows furrowing together as he tried to figure out where to even start unpacking all of that.
"Where is Onyx? I need my babies," he said after another moment, looking around wildly, as if maybe they'd be crawling along behind Liam. "Where are they?" He asked again, eyes watering but gaze almost distant when he looked back at Liam.
Hearing Lennon panic wasn't helping Alex be able to concentrate. Lennon being scared or worried or panicked was one of her major weaknesses. She had promised to always protect him and so to see him in pain hurt her more than she had words for. Her eyes scanned the crowd looking for a sigh of commotion of a familiar face.
She was about to go charging towards people to start asking questions when Liam came into view running down the shore towards them. He looked worried, scared.
"Li-"
"Are you okay?!" Liam practically collided with Lennon. Hands immediately searching for some kind of harm leaving Alex confused and wondering if she should step away from the situation. "Fucking Emrys showed up with Onyx and I was terrified something had happened to you. I kept thinking that you would never leave him alone on purpose so I thought maybe something happened but then the longer I thought the more I thought about how unhappy you've been and I just started spiralling and the thoughts got worse and I honestly thought you'd left me for a moment because I've been so selfish recently but I love you, you know I love you right? Please don't go anywhere, okay? You can't leave."
"Liam, calm down." Alex warned seeing the other wasn't far off of a panic attack.

Lennon didn't push it any further. He had his doubts about himself as a father, but he didn't think it would help to bring them up now. Not when Liam was trying to make him feel better about it. "I don't miss milk that much, but I do miss cheese, like, a lot more than I thought I would." He said, laughing slightly. "Do you happen to know how to pasteurize cheese? Is that even a thing?" Lennon had no idea if any of the cheese around Huntsville was safe for him. But he was struggling to eat anyway, so it hadn't mattered too much. "How do you pasteurize milk, though?"
"Hey." Liam reached out, setting his hands on Lennon's shoulders. "We got this. I get it's kinda scary but you're awesome so you're gonna be an awesome dad. Plus think of all the sick little outfits we can put them in." He joked, trying to wipe the frown from Lennon's face. "My dude. If you want milk I will pasteurize that shit myself. ADHD and years of random internet searching have left me with a mountain of useless knowledge including how milk is pasteurized."

That kind of trust didn't come around a lot, or at least it hadn't in Lennon' experience. The only reason he could do this with Liam is because he knew he wouldn't have been against the reverse, waking up with Liam in the place he'd been that morning. But Lennon had never trusted another person that much, too traumatized by his own experiences, the exes he'd gone through and the 'romances' that had blindsided him. Liam was different. He'd do anything for Liam, and Lennon was finally at the point of believing that Liam would do anything for him, too.
As Liam got his hand in Lennon's boxers, Lennon groaned. He pressed his body close to the other's, sitting in his lap now that they were both sitting up. He realized that he'd often taken control in situations like this, taking his pleasure after giving Liam a taste, and Liam always let him. He didn't mind this, though. He didn't mind giving up some control to this partner. "I didn't always hate it," he said quietly, arms moving around Liam's shoulders, hips grinding down against the hand in his pants. "Sometimes it was nice, carrying that piece of you and me together inside of me. When I wasn't in my own head," he reassured him, letting his head fall back. It was so east for him to get turned on like this, already basically humping Liam's hand. "Jesus, morning sex is my fucking favorite," he whined, lifting his head so he could look at Liam's face again.
Liam's hands slipped down Lennon's stomach, tips of his fingers catching the waistline of his boxers. "I meant wake me up with head. Or like this. Or...fuck waking up inside you. I trust you with my body." He sat up, his free hand moving round to support Lennon's back, holding him against him.
"You know I owe you for a thousand lifetimes for going through that pregnancy." He murmured as he pressed his lips to Lennon's shoulder. "Not only because we got the twins out of it but the toll it took on you, the strength you showed. I caused all of it and I can't do enough to try and make it up to you but I try. Everyday." Liam pushed his hand under the waistband of Lennon's boxers, desperate to touch him.

Laughing quietly as he was pulled on top of Liam, Lennon pushed himself up so he was straddling the other, hands resting on his chest, giving a few experimental rolls of his hips. It felt good, even through the thin fabric still covering his own bottom half, and he smiled down at his partner. "Nah, not a challenge. Unless the challenge includes you initiating more. Not that you don't, but, like-" he trailed off, blushing, still grinding leisurely against him.
He thought a little about Liam's next offer, and his brows furrowed together as he did. "Do what again? Get pregnant?" He removed one hand from Liam's chest and put it on his own stomach. "Shit, the rate we're going it's only a matter of time. Hell, maybe I am now. It's not like I know what the fuck's going on in my own body," Lennon said, shrugging and dropping his hand back to Liam's chest.
"It that a challenge?" He grinned wickedly as he pulled his own shirt off, lifting his hips up to help Lennon take off the sweats he was wearing. "Because honestly it just turns me on more." He was naked, eyes aglow with lust and love and a special reverence reserved for Lennon. "It felt so good waking up with your mouth on me." Liam purred as he pulled Lennon on top of him, where he liked him best. There was still the fabric of Lennon's bottom's between them but it wasn't like there was much hiding Liam's excitement.
"What if I said you could do it again?" His hands rubbed up and down Lennon's legs before settling on his hips and gently moving him back and forth to build up the friction.

Lennon laughed, helping Liam with his shirt, ducking out of it so they could toss it aside together. "That was sort of the point, though," he explained, grinning as he looked at Liam again. He hadn't forgotten the night before, but he was trying really, really hard to stop stressing out about it. It wasn't going to do him any good, worrying about things he couldn't change.
He made a face when Liam reminded him of how desperate he'd been when he was pregnant. Early on in the pregnancy, he remembered sleeping around wherever he could get it. It hadn't been cute, to say the very least. As he'd gotten huge and disgusting, he'd definitely relied on Liam a lot for that sort of thing, knowing that was the one person he could trust not to see him the way he saw himself. "I don't think you could handle me taking what I want every time I want it," he said after a moment, both hands working to take Liam's pants off completely.
Liam kissed him back eagerly, hands reaching, grasping for Lennon once he was within reach. "Next time stop being so fuckable this early and I won't want to even the playing field." He murmured back as he reached to pull Lennon's tshirt up and off, lips pressing against his neck and his shoulder as his hands moved down to settle on his ass.
"Plus we both know I'm a slut when it comes to you. You using me like a sex toy while you were pregnant because you were horny all the time was some of the hottest shit ever. Maybe I like the idea of you taking what you want from me whenever you want."

The second Lennon registered sound above him, he looked up, bobbing slowly up and down as he sucked Liam off. He could just barely make out the expression on the other's face, but it made him smile a bit. He pulled almost all the way off, suckling on the tip, his hand moving to work the shaft as he took a moment to catch his breath.
When he pulled off entirely, he kept his hand moving, carefully sliding upwards to connect their lips in a passionate, sloppy morning kiss. "I'm not finished yet," he whispered after a moment, grinning against Liam's lips.
Liam wasn't a deep sleeper but he wasn't exactly the type to be woken in an instant either. It was a strange but blissful sensation to wake to the molten feeling of pleasure building. His fingers twitched, reaching blindly as he slowly came to his senses and realised why his hands met empty space and not the warmth of Lennon's body.
"Fuck, Lennon..." He groaned, eyes still closed, voice thick from sleep. As his eyes fluttered open into the dim light of the morning his hands curled into the sheets to try and keep himself together. He knew it would feel good to wake up like this, he didn't know it would get him going so quickly.
He reached down and ran his fingers through Lennon's hair, tugging just a little.
"Come here."

Lennon smirked as he thought about it, but then he started laughing too. Liam's laugh was contagious, and the concept was so ridiculous anyway. You look good enough to eat, he signed, trying to stifle his own giggles. I just assume everything takes a dark turn because that's our content, isn't it? Dark, haunting, macabre. So why not a dark version of elves who eat humans?
You're just so pretty. Lennon signed it, grinning as he did so. He'd always thought Liam was beautiful, inside and out. How could he ever have resisted falling for the other? His best friend. His partner in crime. His partner. Realizing he was probably staring too long, he took the opportunity to roll his eyes at mention of one of the absurd fanfictions they'd read. "I wonder where fairy-me even planned to take you. Was I just going to keep you in some fairy cellar? Do you think fairies eat humans in that world?"

Lennon held Liam close, shutting his eyes and focusing on Liam's fingers on his back and the feeling of the other breathing with him. It was familiar, and comforting, and when Liam's fingers slowed and then stopped and he knew he was asleep, Lennon let himself drift off too.
Hours later, Lennon opened his eyes in the dark room. The blinds showed the slightest gray light, the promise of sunrise in a mere hour or two, though for now it was still nearly black. His eyes had to adjust to the darkness, but when they had, he found Liam's grip on him had loosened enough that he could slip out pretty easily without waking him. A quick glance in the crib told him the babies were still asleep, snuggled up together and chests rising and falling evenly, and then Lennon's eyes were back on Liam. Trying to make out the details of his face in the darkness.
He remembered what he'd offered, what he'd asked Liam for before they'd fallen asleep, and what Liam had agreed to. And Lennon hesitated, but only for a second, before his hand was creeping gently over Liam's body, slowly moving downwards to slip under the waistband of his pants. He didn't dare move faster than the slow inching downwards, fingertips light as can be, not wanting to wake the other just yet.
When he'd reached his goal, he kept his touch light, just barely touching Liam's shaft, trying to work him up without putting much pressure on him. Lennon's other hand was oh so slowly pulling Liam's pants down, making room and also giving himself a slightly better view, though everything was still barely visible in the early morning. It didn't take too long, Lennon grateful for morning wood, and then he was looking up at Liam's face once more, ecstatic to see that his eyes were still closed.
Lennon moved down the bed, reaching to pick up his implant and draping it over his ear with one hand, with a practiced ease. He carefully got to a good spot near his best friend's knees so he could comfortably take Liam into his mouth. He stayed gentle, unsure how long Liam could feasibly sleep through any of this, but also curious to see if this was as good as he imagined it being for the other.
Liam pulled back from the kiss, letting his forehead rest against Lennon's. He wished he could explain how it felt to be there with him. Dizzying. Arms wrapped around him he found himself drifting off. This was a safe place. Always had been.
He had to ensure that Lennon had every faith in their relationship. He had to be sure the other knew that their foundations were strong and unbreakable. He wasn't going anywhere. He wrote the words I love you over and over across Lennon's back as he drifted off to sleep.

Lennon had wondered several times since Liam had moved onto the commune, how they had gone so long before finally crossing this line. He'd known as soon as he met the other that they had a connection deeper than any connection he'd had before, they'd made the 'platonic soulmates' joke only weeks after their first exchange. This was his person. Lennon trusted him and loved him completely, even if it had taken a while for him to admit that to even himself. He kept his eyes on Liam's face for a bit, studying it, memorizing it, smiling when Liam looked back at him. When Liam sat up, Lennon shifted his weight, kissing him back.
His movements were losing their rhythm, and he felt Liam's fingers on his back and it made him let his head fall back, closing his eyes. One hand still held Liam's, the other moved up his back and grabbed his hair to pull his head up out of his shoulder, wanting to connect their lips again. He moaned quietly into the kiss, his grip on Liam's hair and hand tightening a bit, a warning that he was getting close to his own release.
It felt good to see Lennon gaining his confidence back plus it meant it lead to moments like this. This wasn't too high and giving into urges sex. This wasn't pregnancy hormones sex. This was just I want you and i'm feeling it so lets have fun sex and honestly that was was the best kind. It made Liam feel more confident in what was between him and Lennon. Like it wasn't just sex, it wasn't just some friends with benefits kinda deal. That intimacy couldn't be faked. The way he felt when Lennon touched any part of him couldn't be faked.
His hand slipped up Lennon's thigh and gripped his hip, helping him through the motion. Fuck he felt so good. They hadn't had sex like this since before the twins and Liam found himself more than a little desperate for every little touch Lennon would give him. He squeezed his hand before sitting up so he could kiss him and wrap his arm around him. He groaned his face buried in the crook of Lennon's shoulder as he guided him through thrust after thrust. He traced letters onto Lennon's spine, mimicking the word he'd felt against his hip earlier. He knew Lennon too well to not notice.

Emrys nodded, immediately reaching for the kids and plopping himself down in the sand. He even took his keys out of his pocket, handing them to one of the infants. "We will stay right here," he promised, settling the twin without the keys in his lap and wrapping an arm around their middle to hold them there. "And I will accept a drink as payment," he added.
Liam looked at the twins. He really didn't want to leave them but he needed to find Lennon and make sure he was okay and he couldn't search quickly with two babies under arm. "Okay." He agreed reluctantly. "I need you to pick a spot and stay there. Okay? I'm coming right back and I need you to be here."
