Update: My nieces got their quilts and they loved them!! My older niece put the rainbow quilt around her like a royal cloak and wouldn’t take it off, and my younger niece (who just turned 2) saw the cat quilt, immediately pulled it over her head and sat on the ground completely still. Her mom lifted up an edge of the blanket and said “Can I join you under there?” and she said “no” and pulled the blanket back down and just continued to sit there lol

#the person behind the yarn #my younger niece is normally running around full tilt until she falls asleep #apparently she sat under the cat quilt for several minutes just completely still before she crawled out to color in her coloring book #which is a long time for a two year old!#I'm so glad they like their quilts!!! :D #now to make quilts for all the other kids in my family #three new first cousins once removed due this year #three previous first cousins once removed I've not made quilts for yet #one of my niblings would like a dinosaur quilt #and the kidlet I babysit wants a minecraft quilt for christmas this year #and for my friends! I am ordering fabric for a quilt for one of my friends today #and keeping an eye out for fabric for two other friend quilt ideas I have #and thinking about my grandma's quilt idea #in the mean time I am crocheting the bead lizard again #I got all the green beads crocheted and am almost done with the pink beads #then it'll be just the orange beads left
