i can't believe most of my geography questions have been answered by just looking at a map 🤡

i'm making plans with a friend on Friday & while trying to find a place for dinner, i've familiarized myself with the general layout of the town? like i am v much directionally challenged, but i am also a visual learner so just pulling up an interactive map like a gps & zooming into all the places' names have really helped me learn abt the place i live in.

it used to be embarrassing when someone asked me if i knew where so-and-so was, or if i've visited x, but at least then i had the excuse of just moving here. now that it's been a few years, it's just ignorance that i wasn't happy to lose. still a little embarrassing, but at least i've gotten better at finally knowing the places people talk abt.
