i love what ive seen of your portrayal so far!! i think you capture thoma’s voice very well, and portray his feelings and motivations and desires very well in your writing. the details you’ve expanded on make him feel very real and i love to see what you write for him!

thank you!!!! first and foremost, love your blog, love ruby rose, love it all. second, that is very encouraging to know tbh. there's a lot of blank space in characters like thoma that i try to fill in while still maintaining his overall 'feel' so it's nice to know it is appreciated/well received!! you're a peach, ty b <3

@thuskindlyiscatter offered :  she ruffles the pup’s cheek fur playfully, giving her a wide toothy grin. it’s been quite a while since she’s seen a white dog like this!

there is a moment of recollection, familiarity.  the feeling sways alongside small, but firm fingers raking through short, yet thick white fur. excitement bubbles inside her chest, spilling out into the tiny taps of her claws and the energetic wagging of her tail. this sensation spills out in the open air, tinging a once tempered breeze into a warm balm that nurtures the skin and soul.  ❝ arf! arf! ❞  she barks, her wide black eyes blinking back at the girl.

When James said she had a surprise for her, she wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. Perhaps it was something to aid with her current position. Taking up the role of a teacher at Atlas was certainly far different than teaching at Beacon. Oh! Perhaps it was a gift of caffeinated teas. Glynda was beginning to run low with how much she was drinking these days. Upon arriving in her office, however, she was met with a young girl, clad in tattered red clothes.

“Miss Rose? Is that truly you?”

OH OH late submission but. does thoma have or would thoma ever consider getting any tattoos?

                 he doesn't as of right now, but thoma isn't adverse to it in the future! his only concern with tattoos is they're permanent, and he in essence represents the kamisato clan. some people "look down" on tattoos, and he never wants to give the kamisatos a bad name by being some vagrant covered in ink. his piercings, he can take out if he needs to (tho it's not like people are staring at his nips LMFAO) but not a tattoo.

                this doesn't mean thoma thinks tattoos are unprofessional, he actually thinks they're very beautiful.

sometimes the best way to deal with a situation is to sever it at the knees before it gets a head start ———— something along those lines, at the very least, and given her habit of speaking to him when he least likes to be interrupted ( though, to be wholly fair, there’s hardly a good time to interrupt him, in the end ) he can easily foresee where things are going when he spots her in his periphery. she’s rather hard to miss and whether that’s because of her energy or the whispers that follow her he doesn’t care to parse out / simply that SHE’S HERE and she’s about to interrupt him.

❝ you, ❞ he doesn’t bother looking at her directly as he addresses her, blade sweeping through the air as a wooden training stand crumples before him. and what a sight !! what a scene !! felix of house fraldarius speaking to someone before they can speak to him. well : he may have an ulterior motive. or he’s just impatient. ❝ you’re always bothering me. what do you want? ❞

Much like with the rest of her team, Ruby is very special to Weiss. While it’s true that the two of them got off on slightly the wrong foot, it’s gotten to a point where Weiss would do anything for Ruby without hesitation. For all Weiss still finds Ruby and her habits obnoxious and eye-roll worthy at times, she’s her most trusted partner, the person she knows will have her back in any situation, someone who has come to know her almost as well as she knows herself. 

While she doesn’t quite realise the extent of it yet, she loves Ruby, in every sense of the word. Her company is cherished and often sought after — Weiss never needs to worry about feeling stifled or judged in Ruby’s presence, something she highly appreciates beyond all measure after so many years of struggling with her sense of self-worth. She trusts Ruby in both leadership and friendship, and will gladly follow her lead wherever that might take them with only mild complaining.

          ‘ cinder. ’

          the maiden ceases in their path halfway down the narrow hall to winter’s designated room when their named is spoken by her, that irritating squeak of a voice resonating in their head like a ghost’s.  a lengthy silence passes before they find it in themself to respond civilly.  fall narrows their amber gaze when they turn back to stare at the very face of their flashbacks, their nightmares, the cause of their bodily decay.  “ what ? ”
