Tio with one of her five cats. Except they're not hers but belong to the place where she happens to move in. There's a cheeky black one named Paer, his sweet white sister Lavendel, a grumpy senior silver tabby called Tadeus, another one I haven't decided on yet and this feisty orange one who needs a smart name befitting of his one brain cell. <3

Tio is one of the protagonists of my first novel "Ein Weg aus Magie und Tee" ("A Path made of Magic and Tea"), a YA fantasy adventure about finding your own path in life (and saving someone's love interest), with friendship as its main focus and a gay romance as subplot. It's available in German on Amazon.

Pink and blue are my comfort colours but I still struggled with which colour to put where and had to retouch some areas. :'D Picking colours is hard when your mind only ever provides blurry black and white images (if any). uAu

Cozy reading.

The first of three new bookmarks I made for my artist alley table this year! Because I’m sure there’re others like me who always need more bookmarks so that we can choose the perfect match for a book’s vibe and color scheme. :)

Here’s the opening illustration of the first chapter of my novel “Ein Weg aus Magie und Tee”, featuring the heroine Tio in her father’s workshop with shelves full of ingredients for teas and infusions.

Currently, I’m finally working on the bonus chapter that is set between volume 1 and the planned volume 2. Writing itself isn’t that hard but getting there somehow is. :’D

“Beyond the Glass - Promise/Daybreak”

It’s Tio and Airis, protagonists of my novel “Ein Weg aus Magie und Tee”. Tio with a tiger, because she likes kitties, and Airis with a magpie, because I like magpies (thus so does he).

Both of them will be available as prints at my artist alley table at Comic Con in Stuttgart and the white background version of Airis is part of my 2023 calendar. :)

I figured I didn't draw enough of my boys and girls (and cats and demons) this year so I sat down and made a calendar. :’D It features 12(+2) illustrations with the characters of my novel!

This is the bookmark that comes with the hardcover edition of my novel “Ein Weg aus Magie und Tee”, featuring the protagonists Airis and Tio.

That Tio is all over cats was clear from page 1 (because I like cats and will not write a book without one (which means there’s village cats and castle cats and a giant flying dragon cat)), but Airis liking birds took me a long time to realise. Since the bookmark is small he only got a tit while actually magpies are best.

The cat staring greedily at the bird is very intentional of course. (Will not get them though~)

One last day of summer, together at the river!

It's been pretty much a year ago when I suddenly started writing a novel. After six months of writing and another six of editing, here we are! The title is "Ein Weg aus Magie und Tee" ("A Path made of Magic and Tea"). It's a fantasy novel, age 14+.

With her father missing, her mother sick and her brothers working to the bone to keep the family afloat, 16-year-old Tiomina has to choose: Find herself a man to feed her OR climb the Cursed Mountains and ask for work at the castle of the Dark Souvereign, who has ruled this land for longer than a century. Much to Tios surprise both castle and Souvereign aren't quite as dark and the latter turns out to be a young man named Yoan. When he learns of her father's fate he even offers her to help her go looking. What Tio doesn't know at this point: This will only be the beginning of her journey. Because her companion, the Souvereign's handsome secretary Airis has only one goal: Find a way to save Yoan's life. For the Immortal Souvereign is dying.

The regular edition will be available as e-book via amazon. There’s also a limited special hardcover edition with a bunch of illustrations via me (private order or conventions). It is written in German though. If you know German and like to read fantasy novels about friendship and adventure, where the romance is not between the two leads and also gay, please give it a try! The release date will be June, 1st 2022! (probably)

German version: Es ist ziemlich genau ein Jahr her, dass ich plötzlich angefangen habe, ein Buch zu schreiben! Nach 6 Monaten Schreiben und noch mal 6 Monaten Überarbeiten ist es geschafft! Der Titel ist "Ein Weg aus Magie und Tee" und es ist ein Fantasy-Roman ab 14 Jahre.

Ihr Vater wird vermisst, ihre Mutter ist krank und ihre beiden Brüder schuften täglich, um die Familie über Wasser zu halten. Die 16-jährige Tiomina steht vor der Wahl: Sich einen Ehemann suchen, der sie durchbringt oder die Verfluchten Berge erklimmen und oben beim Schloss des Dunklen Souveräns, der seit mehr als hundert Jahren über das Land herrscht, nach Arbeit fragen. Zu Tios Überraschung sind weder Schloss noch Herrscher wirklich dunkel und letzterer stellt sich als ein junger Mann namens Yoan vor. Als er vom Schicksal von Tios Vater erfährt, bietet er ihr sogar an, ihr die Suche zu ermöglichen. Was Tio noch nicht ahnt: Das ist nur der Beginn ihrer Reise. Denn ihr Begleiter Airis, der hübsche Sekretär des Souveräns, verfolgt nur ein einziges Ziel: Yoans Leben zu retten. Denn der Unsterbliche Souverän liegt im Sterben.

Die reguläre Ausgabe erscheint als E-Book bei amazon. Eine limitierte Hardcover-Sonderedition mit Farb- und Schwarz-Weiß-Illustrationen gibt es exklusiv über mich (per Bestellung oder auf Conventions). Wenn ihr gern Fantasy-Romane lest über Freundschaft und Abenteuer, wo die Liebesgeschichte nicht zwischen den beiden Protagonisten ist und außerdem schwul, bitte schaut rein!
