So youre super cool and like im just a small little blog with not much newsies content that ive created yet. I reblog and like stuff but yeah. Im really nervous to talk to people here or on the newsies discord cuz what if they think what i have to say is dumb/doesnt addd anything to the newsies community. Sime of the blogs here are big and know alot of people so im not sure how much they want a random small human excitedly blathering at them about newsies and various topics. Also groups have not been my friend in the past. Im better at one on one interaction. I tend to get attached to people super fast if theyre even mildly nice to me.

I have talked to maura( and a few others) whos super nice but i often feel surprised because how have i convinced people to like me and when is it gonna end

i find it challenging to discern tone and worry whether sending too many asks annoys people and theyre just being too polite to say so. I wanna make friends, but im not sure how to go about it. I have bad social anxiety and overthink things alot. So yeah um do you have any suggestions?

gonna be honest, i only joined this fandom in like.. january maybe? so im also all fresh here, and i was super nervous about posting art or thoughts here too (i psyched myself up for so long before commenting on somebody's post lol), but the thing is, the fansies are just very nice people open to what others have to say!! i see so many ideas and thoughts posted here on tumblr every single day and that's part of the charm you know? everyone has something to add!

im 100% sure people won't mind you interacting with them, in fact, from what i can see a lot of folks like receiving asks (both from anons and from non-anons) and speaking personally it's just really fun to get requests or questions about thoughts and. yeah!!

at the end of the day i know how bad social anxiety can get and all your fears are valid of course, but really, just try to publish something, be it fanart or a text post, and im sure with time it'll get easier to do that. and in no time im sure you'll also find folks who will love your content & interacting with you :-)
