The Long Road Home Chapter 42: The Things That Haunt Us

This is... quite a chapter. A bit of a darker one. I don't think there's anything that's really outside of the level of violence/implied violence that already exists in twdg, but still, I'll warn you now in case anyone is sensitive to that kind of thing. There are implications of children being murdered in the latter half of the chapter, just so you know what you're getting into.

Moving on from the grimness, I'm happy to have gotten this chapter out at long last. I was in a weird funk the last few days, so that I wasn't getting any writing done at all. Hopefully I'm over that now.

sorry if this is a dumb question but I just started reading the long road home, is jessie and clem's relationship platonic or romantic? just curious

Don't worry, that's not a dumb question at all! When I originally began writing The Long Road Home, their relationship was going to be romantic, but partway through the story I decided I would rather it be platonic instead. So the early parts of the story might have moments that feel shippy, but there is no romance that is going to occur between them.
