Me: I read/watch Delicious in Dungeon for The Plot The Plot (spoilers for S01E24: Dumplings -2-/Bacon and Eggs and the manga chapter 53+):

Mithrun, my beloved. Sad we didn't get On Floor One this season but we get to start off season 2 with Kabumisu, still good T-T Plus it means they didn't squish it to fit the episode count, which I was worried about. So lots of time to appreciate it in season 2 (which yes, has been officially announced!!!! I know Kabumisu isn't in the teaser trailer but On Floor One is the next chapter so alkdjlaj Unless they do something weird outside just a recap, I assume that's where S02E01 will start).

(Also for people who seem to be confused, this is how the chapter ends in the manga too lol)

52 is Bacon and Eggs. 53 is On Floor One 1. They did a good job adapting it. I assumed they'd get here somehow given there's an On Floor One moment in the ending. So we basically did.

There’s this poem that I’ve been thinking of, uh, I had to take a test on when I was in school, most of it doesn’t really apply, it’s about the death of this guy’s best friend and he’s missing him but there-- there’s this one line, it keeps rattling around in my head. One line that’s specifically-- it reminds me of you, right now:

“Fame is no plant that grows on mortal soil.”

You are not mortal soil. Whether you like it or not. And you can’t just throw away non-mortal soil, that’s a sin. And, I know, you think you’re meant to slow down. I don’t think that’s right. You have yet to do your greatest work.
