When I saw this picture of Wes Streeting I thought: this is it. Look at his fuming red face. Look at his gaping, Bacon Pope cakehole. This is the perfect picture to use for my 'Wesley: Portrait of a Serial Killer' picture.

I had tried using other pictures of Wesbert as photo reference for this piece. But it's hard to get his face right. Any picture you draw of him gives his face too much definition, too much character. It's like you slide off it. If you draw Wesley Streeting accurately, you wind up drawing someone else.

I call Wesley a serial killer because he has decided to keep the ban on prescribing puberty blockers to trans children, claiming such drugs are 'dangerous and untested'. Reader, they are neither. Wesley just hates trans people, and he loves it when we die. Even children. Especially children. And because of this policy, trans children WILL die.

How do we know this? Because we have the data. There was ONE death by suicide of a trans child by suicide before the Tory government introduced the 'temporary' ban on blockers in 2020. Since then, there have been SIXTEEN.

I acquired a set of Winsor and Newton sketching pencils and, having at this point encountered the photo which opens this post, I decided to see if using one of those would help me capture the essence of the man. I tried 4B. I tried sepia. I tried 8B.

I tried both hard and medium charcoal.

Nothing worked. Sure, some of these portraits look grotesque, but not in the way Wes does. His face is like an undifferentiated slab of luncheon meat. His is the visage of the proverbial Meat Clown.

So then I thought: what if I were to sketch his face in meat tones, instead of grey?

And there he is. A puce-faced, boggle-eyed bellowing freak who wants to murder trans children. The sort of middle management wanker who wears jackets and shirts in shades of blue because he knows if he wears black he looks like he's borrowing Daddy's clothes so he can go to his college's fancy dress disco as one of the blokes from Reservoir Dogs. A man who is, in the words of the much-missed Dawn Foster, 'a right-wing lickspittle cunt'.

A red pencil. That's all it took.

Mother Goose Looks - [ ] Dawn — Cushy Cow — ALWAYS Love her make-up, The Make-up with gold horns were sickening. I loved the hoofs they were so cute. - [ ] Q — The Man in the Moon — Q’s makeup always whimsical, and I like the dark lipstick she’s always wearing. I LOOOOVE the moon headpiece it is so cute and her outfit is on theme and very detailed.I love the glimmer and shimmer. - [ ] Amanda Tori Meating — Little Pussy — The look didn’t really give much but stuffed cats and a little piece of fabric. The ruffled hat is also really cute & i like the spider being on the back of the dress was creative. - [ ] Hershii LiqCour-Jete -- Burnie Bee — Her make-up was cute but I was not feeling the short wig or the fur neck piece. I do like the cut of the dress with the mermaid tail - [ ] Megami — Little Bo Peep — I like the wig but the deconstructed look is kinda tacky. I was not feeling the fish net stockings whatsoever. The sheep purse was cute tho. - [ ] Mhi’ya Iman Le’Paige — Mary’s Canary — I hated this look so much. It did not flatter her and the feathers on the chest was a BAD idea. It blocked her face. Her Makeup looked nice tho. - [ ] Mirage — Baa Baa Black Sheep — Mirage’s sheep ears were cute I love hoe the outfit is furry and glittery, it takes it to another level. I love the all black as well. The boots were giving everything they needed to give. - [ ] Morphine Love Dion — A Man & A Maid - The make-up is STUNNING but the look is a very basic maid latex dress with a simple cut at the cleavage. I wanted more. - [ ] Nymphia Wind — Little Boy Blue — I didn’t like the look much but the little blue heels were cute and I loved the gold accents on the blue - [ ] Plane Jane — Pussycat By the Fire — LOVE the wig, did excellent with the makeup & the fur looks great but the outfit wasnt as great. We stan. Makeup also is beattt downnn. - [ ] Dawn — Audrey Hepburn — The dress is simple but the cut outs at the waist is a nice touch. The hat was a cute addition and I looooved the draped fabric as a scarf. The makeup was so incredibly sickening. I mean that face is beat FLAWLESSLY. 10/10 this look. Dawn is also one of my favs this szn. - [ ] Hershii LiqCour-Jete — Mother Nature — I don’t like the latex outfit but I love the color choice. Et personne à travers le spectre politique ne semble savoir quoi faire.Le jeu des reproches est paralysant. C'est le coût de la vie. C'est la suite du Covid-19. C'est la pire saison grippale depuis une décennie. C'est 13 ans de « politique du plâtre collant ». C'est tout ce qui précède.
