Compost tales that make me happy & hopeful. As is my practice, every spring, I put scoops of homemade compost on to the strawberry patch. This summer, when my June blooms died out, these babies sprouted from my black gold. Tomatoes, winter squash(bhopla), cucumbers, bitter gourd(desi karela). The arugula you see in the middle is from @ginnygiova from about a year ago, my fav perennial, that’s kept my vegetarian self happily healthy since Spring.
