jiyeon is what you'd call an Interesting Girl. someone you don't call or arrange schedules with, just happen upon. someone who never calls you but can be your best friend between 11pm and 3am. a fun girl, you just don't look too long.

both her parents are dead for all intents and purposes, which's proven to be a very character defining event in her life. one of her fathers passed away before she was even code, and the other chose to virtually die to work as a doctor for terrascape when she turned 18.

as single beneficiary to both her fathers, jiyeon found herself young, alone and newly rich. she's not particularly self destructive, but choices were made. luckily? for the most part, she was too stunned by grief and anger to blow away her fortune, which now affords her a cushy life she doesn't dwell too hard on.

she's emotionally stunted, still reliving the loss of her parents somewhere in her mind at every moment. she knows a lot of people, calls them friends but struggles to connect with them, blinking in and out of their lives. death is a constant thought, not quite a morbid fascination but more of a haunting. she knows, poor little rich girl.

she writes -- tries to, anyway. she's got some essays published, wrote for a column for a hot minute, it's her definitive trade of choice. but, and not to get too meta, the thing about writing is that you do have to write. that's the tricky part. merits were a good incentive, though once they're no longer an issue, she finds herself ignoring deadlines and putting off work on the novel she's been writing for the past 4 years. she instead "gathers experiences". she has many talents that she has no interest in seriously exploring, so she entertains herself while the high lasts.

between her writing and her party girl fame, at some point along the way she amassed a following on social media that she hesitates to cut loose. they make her more interesting than she, merely human, could ever hope to be, and she doesn't know how to kill the part of her that answers to their call. it's a lie when she says she doesn't look at what they say.

adult life for her breezes by in parties with half-friends and long bouts of reclusion. she wants to be a little of everything. she enjoys reading, skiing, playing silly little meta indie games about living in hyper realities. she doesn't commit to romantic relationships, yet enjoys the hunt anyway. she takes her time, and it never seems to align with anyone else's.

born oct 1 2993 (30 yrs old)

libra sun / aries moon / capricorn rising... interpret this as you wish

an extreme attention-seeker from birth. the boy who cried wolf x1000. would fake injuries (and consequently fake glitches), would lose shit and spin elaborate stories of being robbed, would throw insane fits when he didn't get his way like... something was (and is) fs wrong with him but his parents kind of brushed it off under the guise of him just being a bad ass kid, being brushed off by his parents fueled his behavioral issues, you know how it goes

he was (and is) a bored, lonely kid with a tendency to latch on to anything that made him feel something. in early teens, the “anything” became acting - he had a natural talent for it (as proved by the outrageous shows he put on earlier in life) and having an outlet to express big emotions in a way that didn’t result in him being reprimanded or eye-rolled was cool!

so it goes, time passes and by age 18 he was playing supporting roles in daytime dramas; a few years pass, he’s proved his worth, and he was a top star appearing in emotionally loaded films. his name was known. he got a 5.0 star rating, the public counted days on their fingers - he broke a record, a record that he still holds, for the most days spent consecutively at the top.

throughout it all, his pr team held a firm grip on him. he had aged out of the worst of his attention-seeking behavior, but he had never really learned to bite his tongue and smile; his excessive, hungry existence was a threat to his reputation. because of this, he very rarely did interviews or any type of fan meetings—if you asked his pr team, this was because he was a method actor, always preparing for the next role, and a loud public appearance would disrupt his character immersion. like... pretentious as all get out but, well, he was a damn good actor, so his loyal fans begrudgingly dealt with his minimal public appearances

ten years being relatively liked came to a crescendo in 3022, when the biographical film where he stars as the creator of terra was released - it was a hit, his performance was praised, but for the FIRIIIRIST TIME!!! he opened his big ass mouth. tldr is that he did extensive research on kang suho / terra, deep-diving, days without sleep, head in the books type shit and sleep deprivation + the discovery of information he'd have been better off not knowing resulted in extreme paranoia and a sense of obligation to "wake society up". what i mean is, he no longer saw terra as a utopia and he became extremely fearful for his own life......... and he convinced his pr team to let him do a talk show...... promised he'd behave himself...... and dude started ranting and raving about "the evil nature of terra", "kang suho's dark intentions", "life or a lack thereof?" and YEAAA the hosts were thrilled to have a top star losing his fucking mind on live tv (now THAT'S entertainment!) but his reputation tanked. fast.

here we are now... dude's still regarded as being mentally unwell. he's no longer a top star, HASN'T been for two years now. it doesn't matter that he's a good actor, what matters is that he's trying to disturb the peace / spreading slander, what matters is that he shit on the name of the man who enabled him to play his biggest role to date. so now no one wants to cast him... boohoo... good news is, he's always been incredibly frugal so he's still living on money from the good ol' days.

as far as his personality goes, he talks an awful lot now that he doesn't have a bitch in his ear telling him to be quiet (re: his former team has turned their backs on him). plays devil's advocate as often as he feels he can get away with... and then some. no outright malicious motives, but he likes seeing what gets people worked up. will piss people off and then (attempt to) be the one to calm them back down. spends a lot of time at home, but has been spotted getting drunk and going on long tangents at bars in the city on occasion. well-mannered at his best, volatile at his worst. as mentioned before, he clings to anything that makes him feel something, and in recent times, that "anything" has been the idea that terra isn't what the people are being told it is. want to get existential? he's your guy.

HELLO this is horrendously late work was kicking my ass but YES i'm juice and i'll be writing for jung namoo! he's a 22 y/o production assistant/audiovisual technician (yes they still exist) (i like to imagine that it's a bit of a simultaneously hyperfuturistic but also a thing of the past type paradox that namoo precisely loves) + he's also part of the glitched-out subplot as moneybags!

BACKGROUND

family: parents were low level but pioneering programmers for iron fist! which would've been well and good if they hadn't gotten themselves embroiled in betting on matches/tournaments to the extent that they would tamper with code or collude with fighters to win bets. orbit found out and suddenly mom and pops were "volunteering" to "work" in the outer world

namoo and his older brother (gureum) were 9 and 12 at the time; guardianship went to a family relative who squandered their parents' payouts liberally. namoo and gureum tolerated it for a bit, but eventually found a good chance to run off w/ what little money was left and live in the belt by themselves

spent his teens doing odd jobs and gigs, picked up a lot of skills along the way. procedural learner and is what one wld describe as being good with his hands

in light of the above ^ he opted for vocational training instead of university! financially it was also the most practical choice. got introduced to PA work by an instructor he had at vocational school, and he follows orders well enough to be delegated miscellaneous grunt work around set without worry. eventually wiggles his way up to actual PA tasks, w/c is where he also picked up a lot of his initial av tech knowledge!

decides to stick to tv/film/event production by the time he's 20, and currently has trade certifications on electronics/communication systems, audiovisual tech, modern media + three-quarters of a term in event management (this is namoo pretty much)

currently still project-based/freelance, but he's rarely out of a gig because he's got that head-down no-complaints hardworking reliability that cost-cutting bosses just luuuv (it's a capitalist corporatocratic world after all)

(ok but seriously he's cultivated a rep for like. being helpful and having initiative and needing little supervision to get stuff done so it follows that he always gets called on whenever production/event companies need PA/tech help!)

PERSONALITY

at a glance: u can immediately tell he's the youngest child/baby brother bc he's very. cutesy and affectionate? loves to tease and be a lil gremlin

despite his boyish tendencies, he's far from immature. brother raised him using their parents and relatives as cautionary tales (in the sense that they sucked as human beings lol) so he grew up a decent kid, if a bit of a doormat

carries himself well on the outside but deep down he has pretty much internalized the prejudice he's experienced due to living in the belt and being poor so his self-esteem is six feet in the mud. not in a wallowy self-pitying sense but like. his instinct is to make himself small and take up as little space as possible. also of the thinking that if he's treated badly he should just put up with it because who is he to complain? he's nobody

growing up his mindset has shaped up to prioritize survival over pride so if self-esteem has to take a backseat it'll take a backseat

his glitch (moneybags, aka he gets unlimited merits for an hour if he claps under a very specific circumstanceㅡw/c he's unaware of! so it isn't something he can intentionally replicate yet) has also put him in a tough spot w/ authorities before (basically he thought the amt of money in his acct wasn't real and just went around clicking "buy" on a bunch of stuff... sorry he was 13... anyway yeah the transactions went through. cue police sirens bc what is a boy from the belt doing w/ that much money)

managed to evade interrogation/escalation by the skin of his teeth thnx to his big bro but like! ya boy is traumatized indefinitely. hates coming across/potentially talking to the terra equivalent of law enforcement or authorities

not to mention that their relatives (to a certain degree aware that their parents were virtual-deathed (?) bc things went sideways with orbit and their gambling) used to taunt namoo abt receiving the same punishment for any little thing so

he has actually accidentally triggered the glitch twice more after that first instance, though he's handled those two times a lot better and with more tact! thnx again in part to his bro so he's not as terrified of his glitch as he initially was. used it to pay the bills and purchase a couple other stuff LMAO but he still gets anxious around authority though

he's also a bit of a conspiracy theorist because he's well-aware that glitches can exist! he's proof of it! doesn't go so far as to interact w/ the tinhat community but he reads the posts n forums... has a bit of a vested interest as well in like. people being sent to the outer world via virtual death against their will because of what may or may not have happened 2 his parents (he doesn't rlly know the truth yet)

sidenote: even though iron fist is somewhat entwined w/ the way his childhood has tumbled downhill, he still luvs the game (as an audience; he can't play for the life of him) and luvs being part of the tech team for iron fist events/tournaments bc it was a big part of like. being a teen in the belt and just having this outlet regardless of how tough life was

MISC

very much artistically inclined, which is why he was initially drawn to tv/film PA work! my 31st century tech lore is that production sets use hyper-realistic life-scale "holographic" projections instead of props or shooting on location which! def sucks for propmasters and authenticity but like. even though this world is virtual and crazy advanced and the sky's the limit, it would still take a creative eye to make beautiful things! u could have the tools but w/o that human touch it wouldn't quite be the same. so he's out here sticking it out as that should-be-a-thing-of-the-past human aspect to a creative endeavor that has endured literal millennia. even though ofc it prolly has changed a lot from our time

his work is predominantly on the technical side but he's interested and has a knack for design! specifically w/ holography as the medium. one of the stuff he probably bought w/ his glitch money is the holography version of a wacom tablet

one day would love to lean into that and pick up design as his main fare but for now he earns steadily with PA/av tech work and he's really quite good at it to the point that he's kind of moving up in the world a little? so he's content! not to mention all the backstage perks of getting to work iron fist gigs lol he's just a boy fr

has had the opportunity to be additional tech help with both of last year's iron fist majors so he's hoping he'll get called on to that gig again 🤞

hey hi hello. it's me again after shamefully changing muses. like if you wanna plot, y'know the drill.

tw family death

NOBODY TO SOMEBODY

what sort of parents sign up for a kid only to abandon him and sign him over to the state? cha daehyun and lee bitna, a celebrity couple. thought that their relationship could stand the test of time and fandom. what the public didn't know was that they had plans to get pregnant, to start a family.

papers were signed and a baby was on its way. only, once news of their marriage broke, daehyun's rating started to plummet and the cowardice began to show. he promptly ditched and like a contagion, bitna's fear of losing her spot in the limelight became all too consuming. so she signed wontaek over to the state, giving him nothing but his life and a name.

life in the orphanage wasn't too bad, for the most part wontaek's needs were met. he didn't have to ask for much. but the sting of not being wanted even after the trouble of applying for him in the first place did not miss him. and where do all those feelings go?

he was a terror to all of those who knew him, volatile in personality with a short fuse to boot. pain has a way as masking itself as anger and wontaek donned his mask at too young of an age.

he's eight when a man comes to the orphanage to claim him. he introduces himself has his grandfather, the one responsible for his worthless son who had abandoned him.

from orphan to future heir, life really hit wontaek FAST. his grandpa being from a long line of simulation tech investors, wontaek was shuttled from the belt to the the gated districts where he would come to call the sprawling cha estate home.

generational wealth wasn't something he could put words to but the magnitude of change was. he became more confident and less angry, more talkative, made more of a presence in the rooms he walked into. it was almost if wontaek came into himself.

as he grew older he fostered a connection to the arts, painting being his preferred medium. he went to art school and came out the other side as a 3d environment artist (don't you just love nepotism?). he's done a lot of jobs, his resume spanning from designing simulation environments for coach to orbit gaming, working currently on the iron fists games.

he's twenty seven when the news of his grandpa's degenerative illness breaks and although he still has a few years on him, there are talks of the inheritance and who the cha assets should be passed on to. wontaek is his grandfather's likely pick but as of recent daehyun has been rearing his ugly head to claim what should be his. risking revealing to the world a near thirty year old misdemeanour, he has come for the cha inheritance and he won't go down without a fight.

terse conversations before family lawyers become a standard routine these days and daehyun's return to the cha estate has seen wontaek having to confront the ugly trauma of his early childhood.

but right now? he's just trying to make good with what he's got and the very little time he has left with grandpa.

SUMMARY

isn't it the strangest thing to be born as a pair? to be one half of a whole and always have the other by your side — only to end up becoming completely antithetical from each other, different like night and day. haechan is the chaotic beauty of a tempest ; all sharp gazes and lopsided little smiles that barely even contain emotion. she's ocean blackness and crashing waves. she's sharp like the reflective edge of a polished knife. hae-in, on the other hand, is the polar opposite of her twin sister. she's soft eyes and whimsical laughter. she's sweet like honey drizzled over cinnamon toast, and exudes an aura warm like july's late evening sun. you'd see her and think of delicate windchimes, of sun catchers, butterflies and golden clouds. who would dare to believe beneath such angelic façade lay something so utterly grotesque ?

perhaps she had always been destined to be a little twisted. how could she not in that household built upon a fragile foundation, and a loveless marriage barely hanging onto it's last hinges. the real purpose of the twins' existences was for them to be no more than consolation prizes for their mother; to be her pretty little dolls all so she could cherish and love to her heart's content, saving herself from the misery she's been granted from having a negligent husband with wandering eyes.

the twins have never been taught to share one's love and attention properly between the both of them, and hae-in has always been a gluttonous and greedy creature to a fault. so eventually, a bitter rivalry grew between the twin sisters, breaking their once inseparable bond in their relentlessly strive for love and affection. this is when hae-in discovers her penchant for distorting the truth to her favor.

small little lies roll off the tip of a saccharine-tongue, woven into intricate tapestries under her skilled touch and orchestrating her sister's downfall little by little. eventually, she's doomed her own flesh and blood ( her better other half ) to a fate of fading into obscurity, knowing all too well that she could get away with it and always did ( who would ever believe the madness of a black swan over the sweet and dutiful white swan? ); all for the sake of grasping onto every silver of adoration that she could not bear sharing.

haein grows up knowing all too well that her beauty is desired and appreciated. with a face like hers, it's no wonder people around her were so often drawn to her ( and so willfully blind were they to the predatory smile that lay beneath doe like eyes ). haein, of course, couldn't help herself but to find weaponry in her own gravitational pull if not utilize it to the best of her abilities.

she completes her studies at a prestigious university and ( with mother's luck ) takes on a job at re:skin as an aesthetic designer. obvious but absolutely perfect for someone like her, who admittedly always cared too much of the way she looks to others.

PERSONALITY

every day was simply a reflection of her own personal masquerade. a dozen of masks to don herself with, for each and every persona was perfectly curated for her audience in front of her. kim hae-in is what always people want to see, and what they want to trust. a soft spoken, delicate doe eyed beauty with a heart of gold, who have long since been hailed as the beloved darling of the house. always so gentle, and always so sweet. no one seemed to know or even care that such perfection was only manufactured because she made it so, because everything about her was no more than illusion.

but what truly lies beneath the layers for the girl who dons only her masks? something truly monstrous in the shape of a girl? for there's terror in beauty and kim hae-in is the living proof of such. with eyes coated in glitter, and tongue coated in honey, it's always been too easy for her to spun her webs of manipulation to ensnare others in her control. by then, she'll take and take and take whatever she can, not even caring whether she's been taking too much. and worst of it all? she'll do it gladly with the prettiest smile

people she couldn't help but be jealous of for multitudes of reasons, people who sparked certain insecurities within herself that she absolutely hates nor have the will to acknowledge.

people who gets suspicious of her perfect persona, catching a glimpse of her real personality.

maybe some enemies that she might have sabotaged because she simply can.

exes that she'd broken hearts of, or exes who finally escaped from her webs of manipulation ( RUN, MAKE YOUR ESCAPE, SAVE YOUR SELF ) or exes who haven't and somehow always come back to her one way or another, lured by her sweet honeyed promises despite knowing full well she's hiding her poison underneath.

and maybe a first love that she still have a soft spot for, secretly pines after them but can't or wont do anything because that person is too god for her and she doesn't have the slightest bravery to show her real self to them.

BACKGROUND

lee jangmi, born 3003 to a middle class family, being her parent's little girl who got spoiled beyond belief. the amount of stress her parents went through to have her made them treasure her greatly, always making sure she was always happy.

family life was good! family life was happy! until both her parents lost their jobs due to sizing down, leaving the family with a complete lack of income. her father found a job rather quickly but it paid significantly less than what they originally had and they were still relying on one income so things were a bit tight. jangmi was blissfully unaware of this fact at the bright young age of one, her parents always putting on their happiest faces to their daughter and still going out of their way to give her a wonderful childhood. with the help of her maternal grandmother, jangmi was raised in the most loving household a girl could ask for.

however, this lack of money was catching up as her mother fell behind in terms of systems, her father needing added packages and upgrades to work but not being able to afford any for his wife. this meant that her family had fallen to a socioeconomic status that terrascape paid less care to. one day jangmi's mother dropped her off at her grandmother's so that she could spend the day trying to find a job, as she had been doing for around three years at this point. that night, her mother never picked her up and her father called up, wondering if she was with jangmi.

she was not.

after a week or so, jangmi's father had accepted that his wife was gone. unable to deal with life without the woman he loved and a daughter that was constantly distressed with the lack of her mother, he gave jangmi to her grandmother and disconnected from terra to search for his wife, knowing she might've left him but she would've never left jangmi.

so from the age of four, jangmi was raised by her grandparents and their elderly neighbours and they raised her just as she was used to, loving and a little bit spoiled. being raised in such a good for environment, the girl is quite unaware of the bad side of the world; she thinks that terra truly is paradise where everyone is always happy and thriving, simply because that's how she and the people she's aurrounded herself with have done in life.

well, she tries to think that way at least. having her parents leave with the only explaination of 'they went on an adventure!' even at the age of 20 has her craving to know more, has her wanting to figure out what happened with her parents. once she hit her teens and started actively staying awake at night, she discovered a glitch in which the entire server just frozen in time? she's never actively done anything during this hour as the idea of fucking up something scares her greatly but, she's always blamed that glitch on the reason why her parents are gone.

for now she prefers living in ignorant bliss, treating terra the way that terrascape wants her to, as a modern day garden of eden which, it kind of is considring how lucky she's been in life. maybe her ignorance is just to avoid losing her lifestyle of living upper middle class, knowing the place is a lot darker than she puts on. even after bae gyuok, she chooses to ignore this massive event, acting as if nothing has happened in the first place. (although, in her own time she's trying to figure things out but, she isn't getting very far)

PERSONALITY

she's soft spoken and gentle, often just going along with the crowd and trying her best to fit in as she would rather die than ever be seen as different. she puts herself out as confident yet not cocky, extroverted but not loud; a perfect personality that will have people love her, just as she's always been loved by those around her. though her gentle nature and willingness to go along with people is natural, she's hardly the social creature she seems to be, preferring a night in with her grandparents and their dog watching old movies. she lacks her own perception of self as a consequence for trying so hard to fit in and she sometimes gets jealous of others who are more willing to be themselves, arguing with people who disagree with her out of sadness, not anger. she can let herself get carried away when spurred on and can be quite reactive at times, a reason why she surrounds herself with people so similar to her; she can keep her image.

excuse my tardiness, i'm never prepared for anything. i've split this intro into parts that'll give you the full tea on my angel but i will have a bio and profile up at some point. bear with me... shoot this a like and i'll come swinging into your dms to plot. i prefer 'scord majorly but i'm open otherwise. ciao.

PRIEST CULT DADDY

if you're to understand anything about haerin, we'll first start with her bloodline. choi insu, priest of the new kingdom parish, a cult hiding behind the moniker of religion. a zealot in the name of piety, he believed that terrascape was the judgment plane and to meet the true kingdom, the real one, one needed to commit a virtual death. choi jinae, thy mother, lived in the shadow of her husband. she played the devout for long, made sure their only daughter did the same. but something in the foundations were beginning to crack...

insu urged the faithfuls, under pretence and discretion, to live a modest life, to give their merits to the mission and to remember that life on terra was temporary. knowing very well how illegal this was, he preached the good word clandestinely. those who joined the 'church' were chosen and apostasy was forbidden.

haerin grew up isolated; was not encouraged to make friends, to follow trends. when she left school she was forced to carry out her chores, then study the holy text before homework. she learned very quickly the merits of doing things in secret, adopted the ways of doublethink and doublespeak. made friends on the sly, got up to what her parents would have deemed no good in the shadows.

but whatever lays in darkness will soon be bare under light, right? and suddenly there are whispers among the parish of a lamb being lead atray and she's put under house arrest, a princess in a locked tower, a sacrifice in a holding pen.

a week later her mother goes missing and before the congregation insu announces that she has gone to glory to be in the real world, the new kingdom.

fear hatches a new plan and haerin begins to play the game. you see, maybe she underestimated her mother and so in a way she becomes her. dutiful, pious, the more eager of them all. father trusts her in ways he's never before. and soon, she's secretary of the church, the key to the treasury in her grasp.

running is easy, especially when you know how to move in silence. before long she's out in terra and she's hiding out in vr rooms and gaming cafes, places where he father and his cronies wouldn't think to step foot in, but money is running out and she's sure she saw a faithful watching her eat dinner the other night.

the iron fist competition comes as a god send and the many nights fighting sleep so she can watch her back, see that her gaming skills grow in turn. one day, she finds herself the glory of victory and signs a contract. they brandish her with wings, name her archangel. irony is a dish best served on ice.

that was seven years ago. and now? maybe she's flying high? she's a celebrity professional gamer and she holds onto her ranking with a vice like grip, looks over her shoulder when she's out in public, chews her nails whenever she hears a bell toll. she'd tell you she's haunted by her past but she'll never divulge.

ARCHANGEL

has been playing iron fist competitively for 7 years. per the fighter’s lore, archangel is a messenger of god sent to exercise his judgement. they have two large wings on their back that can be used for flight, shielding, and shooting projectiles but their wings are prone to atrophy from overexertion and damage blocking, causing immense pain to the fighter. their wings cannot regenerate during battle, hence must be used sparingly. ( celebrity ranking: 3.9 stars. )

in game, she's a formidable force. haerin doesn't pull a punch. the same could be said for her blur outside of iron fist which feels like her wings are regenerating from her back, causing excruciating pain.

when she switched to terrascape, she made sure she would be the perfect idol — and it was with terra that she became a star. she rose to fame quickly, with her perfect voice and visuals, which had been carefully crafted by her agency. quickly, she shot up the ranks of 4 stars with her first release, and there was no one more perfect or more loved than her in terra.

the longer she stayed in the spotlight, the more she strived for perfection — and the more others realised how lucky she had been to be so successful at a young age. her talent was one that couldn’t be questioned . . . but people couldn’t help but think that perhaps she was planted by terra.

in order to be perfect, himari lost all of her memory when she switched to terrascape. she shed the name hime and switched to mari — forgetting her family and poor background. she was the people’s star and japan’s princess. as one of the biggest stars in terra, she has extreme troubles with depression and the pressure of being liked and needing to be perfect.

she occasionally has fuzzy memories of her past — but it is public record that she was perfectly crafted by terrascape to be loved by the public. it is only a very select few people who know of her old name, hime, and it is best never to call her by that.

hi, i'm ruvi, bringing to you terra's newest fashion girlie who's back from her server hopping trip that got cut short because her parents cut her off, so she's funding herself by hustling over at re:skin's stylist department. her info and connections are below, please like the post to plot and i’ll send a message here or send you my disc ♡

yiyang grows up quite privileged. her family weren't visionaries by any means, but they had the money to invest early in terra when they saw the signs. that wealth has only accumulated since then, and yiyang is born with a diamond rendered spoon in her mouth by the time the wealth reaches her generation.

so life is so easy, for her. things happen when she snaps her fingers, metaphysically. or literally physically? because she gets that they're code in a simulation and all that, but if she feels real to herself, that's all yiyang needs. she treats the whole simulation with a bit of irreverence, having a tendency to drop sarcastic quips and references to being code without meaning it, because she doesn't actually feel like code.

she has more money than she knows what to do with, so yiyang took a trip around the servers back when she was 20, spending a year each in allara, illori, and evros, just for the fun of it! the plan was to make a round trip with omicron as her last stop, but something got in her way... something being her parents, who decided she needed to grow her own wings.

and now life is difficult, because she's been cut off, with a generous allowance that just isn't enough for her last trip over! and she's been booted out to live in the megabuildings, the horror? yiyang decides to make use of her interest in fashion and incredible good taste (her words) to work as a stylist in re:skin, leveraging some of her contacts with the higher echelons of society to speed her way up the ladder.

aka, the nepo baby allegations might be true! yiyang is just a hot girl here for the hot girls & boys, she can be confident to be point of being a little delusional and annoying, but she doesn't really mean ill. has a thing for adrenaline and testing the limits of what terra might allow, all within monetary reasons—and unfortunately for her, those reasons have shrunk a little as of late!

FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BOLD

humble beginnings, they foster the most keen of officers. minhyuk hails from a working class family who live in the belt. his parents own a mom and pop noodle shop, which to be honest is more like a stall, but it has a decent patronage and in the summers there's outdoor seating where people can dine upon plastic dining sets.

he has two sisters, one older and one younger. he'd tell you that growing up, they were happy, they worked hard and they never got their hands dirty. but the day to day was set in stone and minhyuk wanting something more than what the belt had to offer, applied for a cybersecurity scholarship program when he finished school.

he'd never been the authoritarian type, honestly. he was the type to live and let live, to take the good, the bad and the ugly as it was (whether that be with judgment or not) but the training was fun and the food was free and it beat working in the noodle shop. there was a promise of being able to secure security housing in the megabuildings and he could tell you first hand that that certainly sweetened the deal.

he graduates, he gets his little flat and life is good. to be honest the work wasn't too hard. terrascape was a utopia after all. but then he meets a woman; another officer at his precinct and he thinks that one day he'll marry her.

things go well and he throws around the idea of marriage, of settling down with someone who gets him and gets the nature of his job. the only trouble is he quickly finds that he doesn't know her at all. as time passes by, she tries to indoctrinate him. challenges him on his fealty to terrascape, asks him if he truly believes all is as it seems.

love is blind as it is ugly and when things between them come to a head, she asks him to make his decision. he's either with her or with them. and minhyuk tries! oh does he try. he tries to appeal to her better nature. it's okay to believe in something but this is the way of their world. why not channel it into making change in a positive way? when he looks back on those last moments with her, he tosses around the idea of being a coward.

ultimately she betrays him and goes rogue. and the next time he hears anything about her is when her name is flagged as a suspect for anonymous activity. he'll never admit that this is why he can't stand dissenters, he won't say it's because of his love for things that will never love him back, not in the way he wants them to.

all in all, he believes that terrascape isn't perfect but what system is? you either conform or unplug and if you want to make change, then do it the right way. otherwise it's him that'll come knocking, and you wouldn't want that, would you?

*crowd boos* yea ok so i know i owe a lot of threads rn and as someone who is in as big of a debt as i am i have no place bringing in another muse but also i have no self control so. yeah im back with jaden fanning who's really the face of the formerly gifted child! he's an allara native paired with an unhealthy dose of escapism which brings him to terra! ...for work, of course! you know the drill: hit that LIKE button and i'll come running for plots again!

aquarius sun / virgo moon / libra rising

born and raised in los angeles! he's got a cookie cutter life with upper middle class parents who stuck together and 3 sisters, 1 older and 2 younger, and they're all relatively close in age! being the middle child and only boy means he basically gets to do anything he wants so even though his sisters pretty much gang up on him, life is pretty breezy honestly

jaden's also a really smart kid and he's one of those weirdos who genuinely enjoys maths so he really excelled in school! him and his sisters are all pretty high achievers in general, so growing up in that environment really helped foster his education

he gets into the compsci program in whatever version of mit is present a millennium later in allara and this is really where his life starts! living away from his childhood home, he was really able to break out of his mould! it's very much like if you've always been a class clown in hs, people expect you to only be a class clown and similarly in his home, people expected him to be jaden, their son / brother / whiz kid, but for once he was really able to just be whoever and do whatever he wanted!

absolutely bombs his first yr in uni thanks to his newfound freedom ( tho bomb in his family's standards is like a B- ) so his parents start calling, sisters start teasing him, everyone starts to get a little concerned for him and he kinda doesn't like disappointing people so he locks in! one thing he's learnt from this tho is that he kind of realises that he can never really be who he wants to be fully, because his family will always kind of be hovering over him ( like family ought to do but yk men n their need for independence )

anw he graduates thankfully and manages to snag an internship with allara's version of terrascape ( allarascape or sumn idk ) as an engineer! has been working there since and he's got some good critical thinking, work ethic & he's got an easygoing personality so he climbs the ranks pretty easily!!

only for things to grow so mundane again? his now 5y old job is very reminiscent of his childhood, how he's now shelved as a can-do engineer and everyone knows and expects him to always act in a certain way

at this point he starts looking for other jobs ( doesn't tell his parents tho bc they'd call him crazy and talk him out of it considering allara(scape) is like. the biggest company in allara im guessing ) and around sometime end of last year, he finds an opening at his company to transfer to terra as an inter-server compatibility engineer! it genuinely felt like the perfect opportunity for him so he applied immediately

doesn't tell his parents until he actually gets approved for the job and is told that he needs to relocate in like a month, and his parents are naturally sad about losing their son but he convinces them like hey, it's only semi-permanent and he can come back anytime if he doesn't like it, he's only doing this to move up in his career and what better way than to be in touch with the other part of his culture ( all lies btw he just wants some excitement in his life ) and his parents eat it up so they agree that he should take the job

but yes! that brings him to terra! he's moved over to the server for about a month or so now so he's literally a fresh face!

personality-wise jaden is really easygoing and has a very try anything once type of mentality! recently, he's been getting into the music of terra ( ngl he found it a lil rocky at the start but it's grown on him ), the games ( iron fist rocks btw ) and their cool dating app, but yeah he'll literally try anything to keep himself entertained!

in saying so jaden bores very easily... he's truly an aquarius at heart in that he loves to try new things but he also learns very quickly and gets bored of them once he does, so he'll run through many different hobbies and interests until he runs out then that jaded feeling leading into escapism comes creeping back in... luckily he's only on his first month in terra tho so the shine's gonna stay for at least 1-2 years still!

ironic but maybe the reason why he bores easily is because he's fostered a pretty boring life for himself 😖 definitely a lot more boy-next-door compared to some of the muses here so really, he's just your typical dude!

considering the event that just concluded i should also say that he's a terra glazer, given that he works with the code he does find it hard to admit that there's anything wrong with the code so if your muse is out here saying that terra is lying and all that he's treating them like scientists treat covid deniers : >> will kinda write them off eek but in saying this he's also not very self-aware lol prob rates himself pretty high on the nice, down to earth scale so take that how you will

reina's basically only had one parent her whole life: her mother. dad was never really in her life. they had a falling out when reina was really young and have been separated since, and their divorce was finalised when reina was ~7yo. mom got full custody!

because reina's only parent was only really her mom, reina really looked up to and idolised her! akemi was a phd graduate in computer science and a weapon in her field. she was fast tracked into everything and landed her role in terrascape at a relatively early age. her dad cited her mom's workaholic tendencies as a reason for their divorce which... he's not wrong except he tried to use that to justify his cheating so

point being, reina idolised her mom but her mom was never really around either : / reina was mostly left to her own devices as a kid. like of course she had a nanny to take care of her, but a young reina definitely felt a certain type of way about the whole situation that she wasn't really able to process at that age

anyway! this meant that growing up reina was just really conflicted about a lot! on one hand she idolised her mom and tried her best to be exactly like her, which meant giving up going out with friends to study, always trying to get the best grades, and generally being a high achiever! long term goal was that she wanted to follow in her mom's exact footsteps and eventually get an internship at the company her mom's working in ( the one and only terrascape ) as a software engineer, just like mom!

the other hand comes into play when she's ~19. basically, she's been noticing her mom spending a lot more time at home in her study, and one day she found out that her mom was laid off. to her it was like her whole world was crumbling down because she couldn't believe that her mom, of all people, would be let go

that is, of course, until she finds out that her mom was one of the handful of terrascape scientists that basically spoke out against the zero glitch policy and tried to get people to speak out against terrascape so they would actually do something

...yeah, so basically what reina ( and a lot of other people i'm sure ) gathered from this is that her mom is a gifted scientist who went a little mad : > of course, reina gets really weirded out by her mom and starts to think all this time her mom neglected her wasn't because she was out there trying to make the world a better place, but because she's bought into some wild delusion and is genuinely embarrassing

there's talks of how her mom and a group of scientists went a little crazy and reina's brought into it so her resentment for her mom which was once kind of in her subconscious starts to really surface

but never mind all that! reina's in too deep now and sunk cost fallacy is a real thing, so she's told herself that she's just going to pretend her crazy mom doesn't exist and keep working hard to get that internship and be the akemi that they wish they had!

...except reina shares her last name with her mother ( who shares her last name with reina's worthless father ) so even though she surpasses all their requirements for a fast track internship as terrascape's software engineer, they refuse to let her in

so yeah... she has nowhere else to go so she applied for any company and finally got in at re:skin! reina absolutely hates her life there because she frankly doesn't care much for aesthetics, but it's the only place that'll have her so who's a beggar to choose?

personality-wise: reina is honestly very earth sign heavy ( i swear she has a virgo placement somewhere too so really the rock trifecta ), so you can expect her to be very practical, leave your emotions at the door kind of person. reina can also be quite judgemental and resistant to making new friends, but when she does make a friend, she truly does not let that person go! that said, her care and concern for the people she actually vibes with can be hard to spot sometimes!

ugh yea so i haven't learnt to be concise but anyway! here's some plot ideas! i really hope they're helpful but i'm also incoherent most of the time so🧍‍♀️

because i'm uncreative i'm back once again with childhood plots 🤲 someone her nanny's let her have playdates with, or maybe her nanny happens to be your muse's older sister / cousin so the both of you end up being really close and you're possibly one of her besties?

not sure if anyone's watched sweet and sour but i would love! a plot concerning two interns at re:skin who are kind of battling it out trying to impress the superiors and are later forced to work together! i think it'd be cool to explore workplace drama and having them step on each others' toes!

on that note, anyone working at re:skin, please adopt her! this is also kind of... bad to say but reina being reina thinks that re:skin is just a place for bimbos so i'd love to see you prove her wrong ( or right )! maybe she ends up accepting her role here and actually learns to enjoy it?

i genuinely have no idea how reina acts in front of celebrities, but it would be cool for her to maybe interact with her favourite singer! if i had to think of songs she'd like, i'd imagine it'd be more alt stuff, but i'm def down to discuss! not sure how they'd meet either but i'm just putting the feelers out!

on that note imagine if reina kind of wrote your muse off when you guys were younger because reina was always that smart high-achiever and now your muse is rich and famous and she's in a job that she fucking hates? like it would genuinely be sweet revenge though i don't know how relevant reina would be to your muse at that point 🤷‍♀️

reina just graduated from her computer science undergrad! she skipped a grade in high school so she started her degree @ yonsei university between 18-20! it'd be cool to have some uni friends in her life! imagine your muse got into terrascape and she didn't get in when everyone thought she'd be the first pick given her grades and extracurriculars too! might be fun to explore!

reina currently lives in the megabuildings so i'd love for some neighbours! could be friendly or otherwise, i'm down for anything!
