What are your top five tropes when it comes to movies and tv?

TTop 5?!?! This is nearly impossible to answer and I’m sorry but I’m going to have to be cliche about some of these because it’s literally been my whole life that it’s my fave so here we go.

Okay...so I’m having trouble because villains are my faves and like...all I can think of is villain tropes sooooooooo WE’RE GUNNA DO A TOP 5 VILLAINS TROPES FIRST! Then I’ll remember how much I love McGuffins and such

1. Classic Villain - look there’s something to be said for that classic villain. There’s nothing more iconic and than Darth Vader or Khan. They stand out and they are rotten and cool and so bad ass and we hate them but we also love them. It’s just the perfect trope.

2. Mascot Villain - look man if you give someone a cape, a cool hat, gloves, a boss ass mask, something token, and then you make them a total boss on top of it I’m in *coughkrenniccough* This also goes for heroes though, if my hero is in a cape with a cool color scheme or a sweet mask or an awesome hat *coughDarkwingDuckcough* then I’m 1000000% in I am all about dat #aesthetic

3. Omnicidal Maniac - this makes me a terrible person I’m sure, but I love an irredeemable asshole (also a trope, but we’ll count it in with this) who just murders cause they can. There’s nothing to justify, they think it’s worth whatever they’re doing, and their cause is greater. It’s terrifying to encounter and there’s nothing to stop them.

4. White Hair, Black Heart - I mean have you seen my blog? White Hair wins all my tropes ALWAYS. Or Greying or salt and pepper or whatever! We’re also going to include Villainous Cheekbones in here cause basically I’m into villains

5.1. Treacherous Advisor - c’mon Jafar was one of the greatest things of my childhood

5.2. Theatre Phantom - DO YOU KNOW HOW COOL BOOK ERIK/PHANTOM OF THE OPERA IS?!?!?! DO YOU KNOW HOW GREAT A TROPE THAT IS?!?!?!
