goddamn i promised myself that i wouldn’t get into collecting caps from another season for bonnie before i finished collecting caps of season six and season one  (  because i started and never finished forever ago  )  of pll for viviana and here i am capping tvd’s pilot !!!

@metiore​:   what mediums do you draw on the most for viviana's vampire lore? what are her base abilities? and also what are her more complex abilities?

i  get  viviana’s  vampire  lore  mainly  from  the  vampire  diaries  novels,  but  i  also  draw  aspects  from  the  show  and  all  its  spinoffs,  specifically  the  originals!  and  then  there  are  parts  i  put  in  myself!

she  has  all  the  main  abilities  of  a  vampire:  super  strength  /  speed  /  reflexes  /  senses,  along  with  immortality  and  heightened  healing  ability.  she  also  has  basic  telepathic  abilities  such  as  telepathy  itself,  along  with  dream  manipulation,  illusion  creation,  and,  of  course,  compulsion.  viviana’s  spent  her  almost  one  thousand  years  of  life  strengthening  her  telepathic  abilities  to  the  point  where  they  were  almost  as  strong  as  an  original  vampire’s  even  before  she  was  magically  upgraded  to  one.

her  more  complex  abilities  are  where  i’ve  drawn  from  tvd  novel  lore.  they  are  things  like  weather  control,  slight  elemental  manipulation,  animal  manipulation,  and  even  shapeshifting!  

viviana  has  great  control  over  the  weather,  especially  over  storms.  wind,  rain,  thunder,  lightning,  snow,  hail,  fog   ---   she  can  control  all  different  kinds  of  weather  to  a  degree.  she  has  better,  stronger  control  now  that  she’s  an  upgraded  original  vampire,  but  she  doesn’t  have  the  control  that  an  elemental  -  powered  supernatural  like  a  fairie  or  elf  would  have.  speaking  of,  her  actual  elemental  manipulation  is  minimal,  she  can  start  fires  with  her  mind,  but  has  no  control  over  the  flames  once  they’re  burning,  but  she  is  talented  when  it  comes  to  controlling  air  /  wind.  those  are  the  only  two  she  has  command  over.  when  she  becomes  an  upgraded  original,  she  shows  small  signs  of  maybe  eventually  being  able  to  control  the  other  elements  of  water  and  earth,  but  it  would  require  lots  of  practice,  and  viviana’s  always  been  more  concerned  with  heightening  her  psychic  abilities.

viviana’s  always  been  talented  when  it  comes  to  animal  manipulation.  even  as  a  human,  animals  were  drawn  to  her.  her  go  animals  are  birds  or  cats  because  they’re  natural  spies  and  blend  in  almost  anywhere  without  notice,  so  they’re  good  for  staking  out  potential  victims.  they  stake  the  place  or  person  out,  and  then  return  and  she  enters  their  minds  so  she  can  see  what  they  saw.  when  she  became  an  upgraded  original  vampire,  she  gained  the  ability  to  manipulate  multiple  species  of  animals  at  once,  as  opposed  to  when  she  was  a  regular  vampire  and  could  only  manipulate  one  species  at  a  time.  when  it  comes  to  shapeshifting,  she  usually  either  goes  for  an  owl  or  a  cat  for  the  same  reasons  as  above,  but  she’s  been  known  to  prowl  the  woods  as  a  panther  or  a  horse.

if i end up making a werewolf verse, i have no idea where i’d get the lore from. i don’t think i’d use te.en wol.f lore, even though it is interesting. i like the lore from bitten, but the only female to survive the transition was elena and i don’t want to disrespect that fact ( though, if anyone were to survive. . . it would be viviana. she’s kind of like a cockroach. ) tvd lore is probably the closest to what i like, but i’m still not 100% in love with it. 

i think i’d probably mix and match my lore, like i did with my witch verse kind of. and i’m not sure, but i think i’d just keep troian as the fc for this verse.

if viviana could control the weather like book!tvd vamps can, you know she’d announce her arrival with a loud clap of thunder and a single lightning strike and then just ominously appear like the drama queen that she is.

i just got back from taking my dog for a walk. 

i’ve decided to write up a little about viviana’s tvd!book verse, so i’m going to do that & find a new theme ( because i’ve had this one less than a day and i’m tired of it ) before i get at starters.
