You woke up in a private medical tent and quickly noticed that you weren't alone.

Heimdall was frowning at you once you acknowledged his presence, "Why are you still alive, huh?" He repeated your thoughts aloud, "Do you wish to be dead that badly?"

You didn't say anything. Why bother? Heimdall already knew what you were thinking anyways.

"What happened to that fire you had a few months ago? Don't tell me I snuffed it out that easily?" He teased heartlessly, "I thought you were stronger than that, but I guess I thought too highly."

"Are you the one that saved me?" You asked.

Heimdall smirked and nodded, "Now tell me why you went and did something so stupid."

"I'm staring at it." You responded coldly. "I dealt with your torment for months on end, day after day, hour after hour. I tried being corrigible, I tried fighting back and I tried to just ignore you."

You glanced at the shaking hands in your lap, "No matter what I did, you were there, ready to break me down," You looked back at him, eyes desolate, "And you succeeded. The Great Heimdall broke the Midgardian girl that wanted to be a Valkyrie and snuffed out what little fire she had left."

Heimdall hummed at that, nodding to himself, "So what you're proposing is that you need me."

You smiled at that, but it didn't reach your eyes, "I'm going to make sure I kill myself before I ever say something like that."

Heimdall smiled back, "And I'm going to make sure you never do, sweetheart."
