#tbt and This Guy. Our family has always hung out at airports, thanks to the love of designing, piloting or traveling (often) by plane. My dad falls into the “designing airplanes” slot, as an aeronautical engineer. So we made the homage to the TWA tribute at JFK when he visited me in New York recently, and spent a surprising amount of time in the heat looking at details outside that I would normally overlook. :-) When I visit him, we often grab a bite as a fam at the small #tbt-like executive airport in Sacramento. They know him there... And we watch airplanes come and go, as always. Pictured near the end of this set is a Beechaircraft Kingair he apparently spent close to 3000 hours on (designing, prototyping (which included trying things out in the air 👀 ), refining and so on...with many others). My nephew and I discovered a painting of this coveted place by Ralph Goings from 1970 at the Crocker At Museum. It pretty much sums up what this tiny airport feels like today! And the image at the start of the set?!
