Twitter WDC 2.0

It seems that people are still using my Twitter WDC and I’ve recently received a few requests to update it to work with more recent versions of Tableau. So here it is:

Here’s a short list of the improvements:

updated to use the latest Tableau WDC API library

multi table extracts with separate tables for status updates, users, hashtags, and urls

provides the full tweet as opposed to the truncated text

more fields available for analysis

improved error handling

cleaner ui

This works beautifully with the new data model for those of you running Tableau 2020.2 or later (use status id as the relationship link). The github repo has also been updated with the latest code.
