They had to witness a fight between two old people, but overall everybody had a great time!

Nervous had been living with the beakers for eight years now. They sure were a strange couple - cold, manipulating and calculating on the outside and towards others, but loving and affectionate with each other. Nervous didn't like being their test subject, but he knew that somebody had to do this job. Circe was researching highly risky viruses and bacteria and somebody had to find out if new drugs would help against those. Someday he would have earned enough money to make it on his own. And by then his body was hopefully free from all the germs around him.

Mrs. Beaker really had a strange sense of humor, but she was surprisingly tame around Mrs. Smith. As Ajay learned that day was, that the two worked together at the hospital and that Jenny knew Circe since he had been a child.

He was surprised, by how different his neighbors were. Chester Gieke was a young bachelor like him, who just moves to Strangetown himself. Jenny Smith was a lovely middle-aged woman, mother of three and happily married. And Circe Beaker... well she was a little difficult, but he understood so much, that she was a doctor at the local hospital.

The talk with Neville had been very nerve wrecking, but long story short, apparently Nervous really was Olive's long-lost son Neville. Jenny Smith had been snooping around at the hospital's records for Nervous and Pascal and had found the documentations about his real mother and real name: Neville Specter. Now she needed some time to process everything. She still couldn't tell Neville, why he was taken away. What would he think of her, when he found out, that she had almost starved her baby to death? She had indeed been a horrible mother. And maybe she had been an overall horrible person, back in the day...

Ophelia: So we're cousins, right? That's so cool to meet another family member. I'll soon go to college, but I hope we can stay in touch from now on. Neville: I would love to. Your parents are dead, right? Did Olive raise you right, or did she also make tests on you? Circe: Nerv! Could you please keep quiet about your job at our house?

Olive: I think I really should thank you and your wife, Mr. Smith. Please tell her, I owe her one. I really thought my son was dead. PT#9: Don't thank me, Mrs. Specter. Thank my brother-in-law, Pascal. He's been helping Neville for years. And he truly loves your son.

Olive was glad Neville had found somebody, who cared so deeply for him. She always had wished she had somebody like that for herself too, but luck was never on her side. Or it just was, that a special somebody loved her too much, to share her with an earthly man...

Circe: Geez, Nervous! I told you a hundred times not to throw so hard!

And that's it for the Beakers so far. Will Nervous ever be able to move out of the Beakers' house? Will him and his mother get a chance to work on their relationship. And what about Pascal and Nervous?

Nervous would really like a dog...

Circe: You know that you can't have an animal inside, Nervous. Loki will get his horrible sneeze once he gets home and then he'll send you to be basement for the rest of the night, can't you remember? Go and play outside, with this creature...

Nervous: Creature! Don't worry little one, Circe doesn't mean it like that. She can be nice too, if she wants to.

All the neighbors know that Nervous is a little strange. So he's not irritated by the teenager that completely ignores him.

Gossip spreads fast in small towns like Strangetown.

Circe: I know that you are eager to be friends with Pascal Curious and his family, but Loki and I would rather not you taking those aliens into our house. I know Jenny is married to Mr. Smith, but just because I like her doesn't mean I like him too. I would prefer to stay out of this alien business. Nervous: Okay Circe. I'll meet them outside then. Circe: That's a good boy. Say is it true that Pascal really is having an alien baby?

But it's never so much work around the house, that there isn't a little time for his hobbies. Circe is not impressed by Nervous Baseball skills...

The next morning, the Beakers only have canned food for breakfast. Circe now works the night, so she isn't in a hurry to get out of her night gown. After breakfast Nervous has to take care of his duties around the house.

The Smiths had dinner with the Beakers (whelp Loki and Nervous decided to eat outside) and afterwards Nervous waved them goodbye.

Nervous: It was a pleasure meeting you, Johnny.

Nervous: No Vidcund! I told you a thousand times that Circe doesn't want to talk to you. She just got home from work, she must be really exhausted. Why can't you respect her feelings?! Circe: Give me the phone, Nerv. - 'cund. I told you one million times that I'm done with you. I'm married to Loki, and that for the last eight years. Get over us. Go out. Find a girl friend. You look way to desperate. Stop making a fool out of yourself. I tell you that as a friend, okay?

Circe came home with good news that night.

What experiments are the highly secretive and less than neighborly Loki and Circe Beaker performing on poor Nervous Subject? Will this secrecy affect Circe's career ambitions?

As soon as he perfects his latest invention, Loki is sure to get the recognition he knows he deserves. In the meantime, he keeps himself busy by trying to assemble a nuclear reactor out of common household items.
