everything else about the writing in skypiea aside (hint: its not so good) why is the anime of it like truly the most boring television i've ever watched theres like 20 episodes dedicated primarily to the fight between enel and luffy and there should have been like. 2. max. it's because theyre always teetering on catching up to the manga i know this but its why the movies and filler arcs like consistently have better more tightly written plots. film red was not a very good story but by god at least it was over and done with in 2 hours you know. and uta was there bringing out some of the best anime tunes of the decade.

#op lb #sorry. zoe's posting got to me. why is it so baddddddddddddddd.#and well water 7 > enies lobby > water 7 arc had good character writing imo but introducing a bunch of fucking guys and giving them #devil fruit powers JUST so they can fight with the whole crew. yawn. the giraffe is funny but like no one caresssssss #except the fujoshis. they care. too much kaku yaoi in this world #i thinkkkk some of the better writing is like impel down > marine ford arc but idr exactly bc i'm always in tears the whole time #but like thats largely because its just luffy? so its not weighed down by a series of 6-10fights #which is funny bc it objectively takes place over one of the largest stretches of time for an arc #ultimately. what im saying is everyone should watch one piece movie 6: baron omatsuri and the secret island #journal
