The save has gotten a little crashy-crashy since I finished the bachelorette challenge. I think I remember reading something years ago about how the more player-created Sims there were in a town, the less stable the save file became? Don't know if that's true but so far, my experience seems to support it.
This is the only screenshot I managed before it crashed on me tonight: Carlos on his way home from the bookstore, where he bought some guitar compositions. I have no idea why I felt this was noteworthy. Maybe I was only amused by the color.

Naturally, not long before it crashed, I had adjusted Saver to save the game less often.
Me: I'm tired of all these Saver interruptions! I have the patience of a mayfly on hour 23 of its 24-hour lifespan. I find the time it takes to save this stupid game to be the most intolerable 17 seconds of my life. Saving every 20 minutes is plenty. Hell, the default is 30. Game: [crashes 16 minutes after the last save] [and mere seconds after Carlos finally reached level 9 in guitar] ErrorTrap: Whoo shit, you really broke something this time. Have I ever got an xml file for you, doll! This is the good shit, see? Not like that plain-text mess your laptop tries to pass off as "exception reporting." Macbook: Hey, shut up? I worked really hard on that file. [generates six pages of passive-aggressive notes and one plaintive love sonnet to the ghost of Steve Jobs]
I am not moving them! I am not. I like Sunlit Tides. I like Undine's house. She's made a lot of friends in ST and established good relationships with the consignment store clerks. So I'll try to stick it out there as long as I can.
Once they get a decent amount of money saved (~10,000), I'd like to get them hitched and maybe send them on a little trip for a honeymoon. And then, future boarding school students babies! 😍
