I know probably no one follows me for JoJo now but I saw someone defend the duwang translations (infamously bad fan translations made by like a ESL kid from chinese fan translations) over the jojo's coloured adventure translations (that are genuinely some of the best fan translations out there and tend to be incredibly close to how things are officially translated except they can use band names) bc they thought the duwang ones were “more accurate” bc they were written dryly… like, genuinely fucking hilarious move. like such an unintentional own goal. araki's writing is way better than duwang level shit dude. like???
