it felt like hot needles were pricking her skin and her heart was practically in her throat. chest rose and fell quickly and eventually steadied after several moments. the senator's voice helped soothe her and gather her bearings. the safe house had not been compromised. no one was currently in any danger. to further her growth as a jedi and to prepare her for the trials, lexa spent additional time training with mace windu. she developed her vaapad with him as well as learned to channel the force into hand-to-hand combat. due to the nature of the seventh form, he was incredibly strict while teaching, since the technique had a habit of corrupting force users. after the purge she made it her mission to keep building onto what he and her primary jedi master taught her.

How heartbreaking it was, that Rey had lived her entire life ALONE. no one to keep her company or have her best interest in mind. What was most impressive was how kind the scavenger remained despite her upbringing.

back on my o.ne piece brainrot which has incidentally launched my s.tar wars br as well. an ability lexa develops as a seasoned force user is seeing into the future at will. she utilizes this skill primarily in combat to predict difficult opponents' moves. it takes a lot of power and energy to keep up with this ability and what she sees is not guaranteed to happen. the further into the future, the less accurate the sight is and more power is required to maintain the technique. she has to work incredibly hard to process that information and react in a way that won't backfire or cause her defeat. so long story short, lexa has observation haki, count your fuckin days the empire.

she's already on edge having caught the attention of the director. this isn't part of the plan -- she's supposed to slip by unnoticed. since making a scene isn't in the cards, she'll have to IMPROVISE. lexa gingerly ( or as close to as she can muster ) accepts the holopad from the man and studies the file depicted on the screen. she soon learns the item in question is a weapon. a curved blade capable of cutting through the toughest of materials. lexa has to keep her expression neutral as emerald eyes scan further. a black core... it couldn't be. why would he show this to her? he knows. heart beats faster as fear starts to settle in. no, it's much too soon for things to fall apart. the objective has yet to be obtained.

It was hard, holding back the smile that threatened to blow her cover. Something about watching Imperials SCRAMBLE to ( quite literally ) put out fires was oh so satisfying.Emerald orbs assessed the damage to the immediate area. At first glance, the room was an absolute mess. In the grand scheme of things, however, it was surely no more than just another inconvenience for the Empire. The rage began to bubble in her core, but she had to maintain her composure -- maintain the ROLE she was playing. Lexa moved with purpose, like she belonged among all the other uniforms, making her way to the director. What would she say? What he wanted to hear? " That looks to be the case, sir. " Truth was, her handiwork wasn't to blame for the state of the room. Sabotage was indeed the rebel's mission, but this particular zone wasn't part of her direct orders. " What would someone gain by targeting these consoles? " Her tone rang as if she were merely speaking out loud, but in reality, it was a ploy to garner information from him.

lexa nearly snorted. she knew it was a dig at her habit of sharing knowledge and information, even without being asked. and while leia's tone held the usual tinge of annoyance in said situations, there was also sincerity. huh. so they'd finally stopped butting heads long enough to get through a mission ( well, not quite over yet but soon ).

leia stood in the threshold opposite of her. they were to go their separate ways from there on out and cover more ground. what wisdom could she offer her comrade, who she'd grown to admire and respect so? was there anything left to teach one another? after several beats of silence, lexa echoed the words she'd heard her own jedi master say." trust in the force. " the warrior simply could not stress that enough. after all, the creed was how she survived the purge and grueling years in exile. well, that, unbridled determination, and absolute SPITE.

the brunette glances up from gauze-wrapped hands. the smile on her lips is small, but there all the same. they do work well together, ( after the initial hiccups, of course ) and she could use the companionship. " indeed we are. " the force works in mysterious ways, but lexa is forever grateful their paths have crossed. cal radiates HOPE. even when the odds are stacked against him, he never gives up. he draws strength from those he counts on, and lexa is honored to be one of those individuals. she's never expected others in the rebellion to bring her same level of INTENSITY, however, it's nice to know there are some willing to match that energy.

          Accepting compliments was difficult for Lexa. No matter how well she performed a task, there was always a nagging voice in the back of her mind reminding her of all the MISTAKES it took to get there. The praise from Holdo is no different. It was a bit ironic, as the reason Lexa had sought the other’s counsel was because she was doubting herself and her ability to help the Resistance. “ Admiral...I ” She shifted her weight to the other foot and paused. Her knee-jerk reaction was to insist she was not the woman Holdo was convinced of. That she was just a person finding her place in the galaxy. “ That means more to me than you know. ” It took some time getting the words out, but now Lexa felt a little less weighed down by having spoken them into the universe. It was indeed an HONOR to be held in high regard by a leader of the Resistance.
