She'd been silently swaying. Both hands clasped behind her back admiring the hustle and bustle of Djose Temple and the al bhed who inhabited it.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the soft sensation of warm lips hastily pecking her own pinky pout as Yuna quickly scrambled to register who could have snuck up on her in quick succession and plant one on her.
The realization hits her like a ton of bricks the moment two-toned irises shift skyward to meet Gippal's singular gaze.

"Ah!" the heat of embarassment gradually climbed from the pit of her stomach, up to her cheeks, reaching the very tips of her ears causing the "esteemed" High summoner to turn her back to him. "Um. What was that?" not that she didn't know what he had just done. More so asking what it was for.
Words were hard for her right now.

It was rare to witness Lady Dona in an astonishing state of pure honesty. Not that the woman was anything but.
On the contrary, she was blatantly straightforward.
Currently, the ambience felt alien to Yuna. There, lie, a hint of something peaking beneath the tone Dona carried in her words. Sorrow? Or ire? Yuna couldn't accurately predict the mood expressed between their exchange, not that it mattered. The former summoner would meet her ally with compassion and understanding. It was a talk they needed to have... Two years late. But better now than never, right?
Yuna nods her head once and proceeds to step fully inside Dona's home. "The people and the friends that I made along the way were of great importance; it was an honor and a joy to have so many people on my side. Their guidence was what made my pilgrimage a successful one.
"But still, I was young. Naive, they said. The people who once extended their hand to me quickly pulled away, and threw them into fists of hatred the moment Yevon crowned me a traitor," she hesitated to admit it, but even now the echoes of the past—her former transgressions—left a powerful ache in her chest, "What I am saying is… not everyone wanted to be around me out of pleasentries, you know? The Guado too, once upon a time." But those days were long gone. Yuna placed all of those unhappy memories behind her, and left them in the past where they belonged.

"I must admit, however, I looked up to you as a summoner and a teammate. You held yourself together. You were forward, and unapologetically you—something I wished I had for myself. And though we did not see eye-to-eye in few cases, we both desired the same for Spira: to fight and defeat Sin. Therefore, I believe we are more alike than we hope to admit." a sheepish smile finds her lips before stealing a look from Dona. "Right?"

"A- What? Oh!" Had she been prepared for the sudden frenzy of angry yevonite monks riding the blonde's rear, Yuna would have had secured an exit to get both of them out of harms way. It was just like Rikku to turn a quiet moment of respite into a loud, obnoxious display. She just couldn't help herself when it came to something shiny to swipe. Or so it appeared.
Well! Had Yuna retained any of her mannerisms as a summoner, she would have implored Rikku to return what she swiped.
However...
Tumblr media
"Rikku! I'm open!" Yuna bolts in front of an exit and holds up her hands in an attempt to have Rikku toss the stolen item to her and shake off the monk's favorable attention they held firm on the thief. They were getting out of this one way or another.
No one messes with the Gullwings!
