vida was surprised to be summoned , but not because of who summoned her only by the person who delivered the message. at first and easy glance the woman was a noble, or at least in the close service of one, and was clearly filled with worry in her urgency. she'd quickly gathered 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒓 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔 and hastened to the forge on brego with the young woman on horseback with her. (vida didn't favour leaving her beloved horse in a stable , nor at risk of theft)

she made her way through the forge to the back chamber where errick lay on his back with a 𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 to his side. without thinking too much , more than used to this as she had been in this position many times over the last several months since befriending the blacksmith , vida set about pulling the fabric away to inspect the wound and then quickly helping errick drink down some mandrake root tea to dull the pain and his senses , but not render him unconscious. he groaned a handful of curses , and promised to 'haunt the fucker who wounded him' — she rolled her eyes as she began to cut the shirt away in preparation for cleaning , stitching and bandaging the ugly wound. ❝ errick fucking waters — we have seen misfortune, felt the sting of defeat, the humility of vacant purse and empty stomach. this is shite compared to that ... so bite down on this , ❞ she placed a leather strap between his teeth before he could speak , ❝ and think on the fact i've not let you die yet. you still owe me money. and remember ; two taps on my arm and i'll stop , otherwise ... feel free to blaspheme as usual. ❞

she turned to the blonde woman then , ❝ how are you with 𝒃𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒅? this might be messy. and , could you set a pot of water to boil ... i'll need to clean this well — did he say what it was that caused the wound? ❞
