Maa Laxmi is the Goddess of wealth, fortunes, prosperity, love, happiness. If you want to get these things in your life you can do 16 Friday Fasts of Mata Laxmi.

Like any other varat(fast) a person should wake up early in the morning, take bath do Snkalpa (Determine in heart) to do the varat. Person can eat fruit and have milk in the daytime.

Prepration For The Pooja 

Wash a wooden Chaunki. Place red clean cloth on it. Place statue or picture of mata Laxmi on it. In one kalash of brass keeep water in one side, you can keep some silver, gold coins or some money or jewelry near the picture. make a kheer or some kind of sweet dish. Read pooja katha do arti after pooja distribute prasad among family mambers.
