max is honestly margo’s number one fan, because he’s basically in love with her voice ?? they probably go to open mic night’s at the bar a lot, and he almost always volunteers her because he wants people to see what a great performer she is. and like if she tells him that she’s working on this song, he’d probably ask her to send him voice recordings, and he’d always hype her up. he’s also kind of jealous that she’s so laid-back and she doesn’t dwell on things that don’t really matter (which is something he does a lot).  in a way, max is kinda living vicariously through margo -- his parents planned out his whole life for him, and it really seems like he’s on his way to being a politician, which is why he wants to encourage margo to never stop doing music, because even if his dreams won’t come true, he’d be happy if hers did instead.
