I never believed I’d see Hawke or the HoF again since they can die. There are a lot of choices in the games, especially Origins and 2, that it would not make sense to have carry over because they would not necessarily change things up north, but there are some that I think should be there.
What was the point of the tension around the Well of Sorrows if that does not matter? Solas yelled at my Inquisitor for binding themself to servitude to an old elven god. In the game where we’ll be dealing with them, that should have some consequence.
Morrigan had an old god baby with my warden. While Kieran is a big kid now… he is an old god. He should be mentioned, he should play a part. It is very weird to start this thread and then drop it.
Bethany or Carver could be wardens who are at Weisshaupt! A dead HoF’s tomb is there. Since we will be seeing Weisshaupt, some mention of Hawke’s siblings or seeing the tomb would have been awesome. Seeing mentions of my previous heroes adventures in codexes made me happy, but since they don’t want to invalidate the choices we made, we won’t be seeing much of anything about them.
Essentially, I don’t buy the “it’s in northern Thedas so a lot of that doesn’t carry over” excuse. I think this is a consequence of its odd development history or that going forward, your choices in previous games will matter about as much as they do in the Fallout series - which is to say, not at all. I’m not a fan of either.
I hope it turns out that Thedas is going to be changed dramatically after our decisions in this game to justify it. Maybe we’ll have the option to talk about these with dialogue choices *copium*.

i love my mom but its genuinely so frustrating how much she pushes onto me she's been upset with how little my younger siblings do around the house with regards to chores (i'm the only child who makes financial contributions to the household fyi) but always asks me to do things first because "i'm easier" to ask. which is whatever i like being helpful but how is that solving the issue of them not doing shit? not putting away dishes or cleaning up after themselves? so i've been telling her she needs to ask them and get them to do stuff instead of defaulting to me and she's always like "just this once" and today i put my foot down because she always says that and it's not fair to me and my time especially because of how much she complains about them not doing work! but she brushed me off and told me to leave which is ANOTHER problem i have with her she never wants to discuss things and always shuts it down when i want/need to talk about stuff. ugh!
