I completely understand your desire to keep away from anyone associated with Solo, but the Valkyriesquad list isn't a group, and most of the folks on the list have no affiliations with Solo or Lavender at all. They've simply submitted their URLs so folks who're looking for Heathens without racism or homophobia can find them. I'm on the list, and I keep as far from the Solo & Friends crowd as I can.

Look, if you’re going to go off of what Solo and the piety posse says on PU, you’re not gonna know the whole story. What I actually SAID was that since LW is one of the MODERATORS of the blog, and LW is one of the ones supporting Solo’s gross “omg Smarmy totally ASKED to have me post her location publicly because she kept arguing with me even after I threatened her if she didn’t stop!! and now I’m gonna threaten to dox her if she keeps annoying me!!!!” bullshit, I don’t trust the judgement of anyone in charge of that blog to say who is and isn’t problematic or dangerous. 

Not only that, but it isn’t just a “desire”. I literally do not feel safe around anyone who enables Solo (which includes reblogging from them or saying shit like “well yeah they pick fights, but…” in my book). You know why? Because not only are they sticking their fingers in their ears and pretending that everything is fine at the detriment of all of Solo’s targets, but they’re willing to jeopardize Solo’s fucking well-being as well for the sake of whatever ego boost and sense of power they get by riding Solo’s coattails. For fuck’s sake, Solo is suicidal and gets pretty damn worked up over internet arguments, and even if it might seem kinda far fetched…when you get in that dark of a place, you make stupid, rash decisions for stupid reasons. Solo’s behavior is not that of a healthy or happy person, and I’d be willing to bet that their “friends” can see that, too….but they don’t say anything. Either because they’re afraid of being “dragged”, or because they care more about getting to be Internet Badasses than Solo’s health. It’s fucking disgraceful.

That said, I have other Heathen friends of mine who’ve told me that there are other problematic things about Valkyriesquad and the people on it, but I didn’t want to namedrop because they’re not as much of a drama llama as I am and probably wouldn’t appreciate it.

Obviously, I’m not going to refuse to follow someone cool because they’re on the list. I just don’t want the list recommended to me; and tbh? I feel like I was 100% right in my hesitation to associate with the people involved with making it, considering that this is the reaction of the people running the thing, to my saying I felt unsafe about it. The number one sign of whether any kind of leadership is trustworthy is its reaction to being challenged, and this reaction is….unpleasant, to say the least. Hell, the piety posse is now telling me that if I ever dare MENTION Solo’s NAME, that counts as justification for Solo to keep looking through my blogs, talking shit at every opportunity, and sending me anon asks bugging me about whatever ‘sins’ I’ve committed lately (and. Uh. Weird, vaguely antagonistic star wars references, for some reason).
