Langley, WA, located on idyllic Whidbey Island, is a fun day trip destination. Easily accessible from Seattle (by ferry and by driving), Bellingham, and Vancouver, BC this lesser known destination needs to be on your radar. Langley boasts a scenic beach with views of Camano Island, a small island that is also part of the San Juan chain. There are several restaurants, shops, wine tasting, and a grocery store. I recommend the pizza at Village Pizzeria. Their prices were reasonable, service was great, and they have indoor and outdoor dining with a view. I also recommend stopping by the Whidbey Island Gem Gallery. The shop is full of all kinds of crystals, rocks, jewelry, and books. The back of the shop offers an incredible view of Camano Island. I also recommend peaking in Firehouse Glass Gallery. The old fire station has been converted into a blown glass studio that allows you to watch the artists create while you browse the open-air shop.
