*grifting them because he immediately broke parole after learning his son currently lives in montana, and so long as he plays the part of the repetant sinner, the cult keeps him safe from the law

@fourlittleseedlings poses a question so good about my aforementioned new au that I want to answer it publicly.

fl;akjfdafd the answer is "they talk around the subject at most." especially after syb finds henri trying to flirt with adelaide. tho for real, i don't think henri approves per se, but he also is kind of like "well, if she had to pick one of them (ie, the seeds), she could've done worse." daddy la roux was a former marine and he can kind of see where jacob's coming from, but he's also just. not invested in the actual cult and religion shit to work his way towards being a chosen (god forbid he make an effort at anything).

also he's been estranged from her for 20 years. he knows he can't do a damn thing about what she does. and also also that conversation really would just go:

[scene: syb and her dad are smoking beside each other but not looking at each other] henri: so. jacob seed, huh? syb: you really give that much of a shit? henri: *shrugs* guess not. [they never talk about it again]

also for the record adelaide correctly identifies henri for a creep and does not give him the time of day <3 she would crush him like a bug <3
