I like rustic nature themed stuff, cottagecore is similar to what I like but not exactly. The closest aesthetic I could find is campcore so. 🤷

There will be no 18+ content here.

I like minecraft but endermen and wardens are triggers for me.

I might vent a lot. I'll be sure to tag properly with warnings like "[thing] tw" and a tag for vent. Keep yourself safe please.

Hello! I would like to participate in the ask game 🌹, please.

I have a lot of things to worry about. From building a career, health, to interacting with people (with whom I have to see almost every day because of work). I am very afraid to be mistaken.

I prefer day, but... probably the night after all,

because this means that the working day has already come to an end.

Warm weather, when it is neither hot nor cold outside, and the sun does not dazzle the eyes.

Naturecore; Campcore. I also love aesthetics like Rangercore and Queencore.

Preferably Tokyo Revengers or Haikyuu.

the skating rink was not far from the city, in a large tree-lined avenue. Fortunately, the place was practically deserted, it was just the two of you in the noises of the wind in the leaves and the skating track lights. He was always next to you to make sure you didn't fall, and whenever that happened he would take you by the hand, and lift you up reminding you that it was normal to make mistakes <3

Wanna know a little trick I do? If I ever have writer's block, I just write the most aesthetic thing I can. Describe a very dark academic house. A cottagecore-esque field. A campcore trip. A pastel outfit. And I write that till I get an idea.

Here's to my new writing this year being very dark academic 👍

I’m making my own Core

I've been looking through a lot of the different aesthetic blogs and the cores that have been created on tumblr, from cottagecore to corvidcore. All of these are cool in their own way and each have aspects I like, but nothing really clicked with me, even the ones that were more up my alley like campcore and adventurecore. 

My main issue with a lot of ‘core’ content is that a good portion of it feels very escapist, with people posting about ‘running away into the forest’ and ‘melting into the moss’ and other very idealistic fantasies of avoiding the banality and stresses of reality. There’s nothing wrong with that of course, especially as a form of stress relief, but that’s not really the content I’d like to see, even if I love the moodboards and writings on everybody’s blogs. So I decided to make my own ‘core’/aesthetic that mixed in some content I like from the other cores with other stuff I enjoy, plus some advice and a mindset that myself and others could find useful in the new decade, which is how this blog came about.

Scoutingcore is about working to make yourself and the world the best versions of themselves they can be.

That seems like a daunting task, I admit. But it’s less about trying to make huge sweeping changes, though young women like Malala Yousafzai and Greta Thunberg are great examples of doing just that and I applaud them, and more about taking steps to becoming a well rounded person and making your immediate community and surroundings a better place. Starting and sticking to healthier habits, learning useful or fun skills, throwing away litter someone else left in the park, and finding a cause, local or global, you can volunteer time, resources, and manpower to.

But there WILL be lots of photos of camping supplies, flannel, nature shots, and vintage scout gear and trail guides on this blog, I promise you that. I’m such a sucker for that kind of stuff.

I have more to talk about with this core, but I’ll be posting that tomorrow.
