MANITOWOC, WI — Disappointed Army veteran Jack "Pappy" Van Hauser now says he probably wouldn't have done all that fighting for freedom had he known there would be all this gay stuff now.
"I wouldn't have risked my life to fight the Viet Cong if I had known men were just going to use their freedom to wear Daisy Dukes and go traipsing around like a bunch of communist fairies," said Pappy to family members as he turned on the television to watch Matlock but only saw more gay stuff. "All them boys screaming in the jungle. Limbs blown off. Blood and guts everywhere. I killed fifty men with my e-tool and lost a leg — all for this?"
He tried changing the television station, but could only find more and more gay stuff on every channel. He then decided to get some fresh air on his porch only to realize there was a pride parade out front.
"There, look! More gay stuff!" He exclaimed.
His family members tried to educate him that it was actually non-binary, queer, and trans stuff now, but that didn't seem to change his mind about it being more gay stuff.
Pappy was decorated with multiple medals for his bravery in combat and received three purple hearts — a record of service, he says, that was not done for all this gay stuff.
At publishing time, Private Pappy had declined to go to a ceremony at the White House honoring his service since the last picture he saw of the White House had "gay stuff" hanging on it which his family determined was the Progress Pride flag.

Description: During the early years of the Vietnam War, a small group of American soldiers carried the fight to the Viet Cong and the North Vietnamese Army, often under difficult circumstances. Their sacrifices generally went unrecognized and unappreciated by a mostly indifferent nation. But a massive influx of American troops would soon alter the entire nature and perception of the war. THE FROST WEEDS graphically describes the horror, the heroism and even the humor of the Vietnam experience while offering a far different perspective of the war than that epitomized by the larger conflict that followed. It is an astonishing account of a small U.S. military advisory team struggling to deal with a ruthless enemy and an often exasperating ally.
Review: This was an excellent book by an excellent author. He was able to craft a good narrative and understood pacing and flow which is rare for many of these books. The tales he told of the early years of the vietnam war, the 64/65 period, of what it was like at Ta Bat, A Shau, and Khe Sanh, his explorations of Hue, and the battle of Nam Dong were well done and gave you a really good sense of who was there, what happened, and what the experience was like being an Advisor radioman attached to an ARVN unit.

Unique Cho Lon area viewed from a double-decker bus
Vietnam Spirit Travel - In addition to operating in District 1 and District 4, the open-top double-decker bus now has a new route around District 5 and District 6.
Tumblr media
Since late May, the double-decker bus route Saigon - Cho Lon has officially come into operation. Departing from Saigon bus station and Pham Ngu Lao Tourist Area, the double-decker bus will take people and tourists to explore the beauty and enjoy the Chinese - Vietnamese cultural space in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the first passengers to experience the new double-decker bus route, this was an interesting experience when passengers could see the whole Cho Lon area from above. Sitting on the bus was comfortable and airy, the automatic presentation system about the attractions along the way was very useful.
The 20km bus route runs along Tran Hung Dao, Chau Van Liem, Hai Thuong Lan Ong streets in districts 1, 5 and 6. The new double-decker bus route will take visitors through the old streets with typical architecture of the Chinese community.
Locals and tourists have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant life of Hao Si Phuong neighborhood, Oriental medicine street, lantern street, Binh Tay market, An Dong market, Nghia An Assembly Hall (Ong Pagoda), Tue Thanh Assembly Hall (Ba Pagoda)…
The Saigon - Cho Lon double-decker bus route operates from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. with 30 trips a day.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, the pilot expansion of the tourist transport service by double-decker, open-top cars to District 5 and District 6 will contribute to supporting the development of the night-time economy and tourism.
There are currently two agencies operating two open-top double-decker bus routes for tourists. Of which, Anh Viet Hop On - Hop Off Vietnam Co., Ltd. is in charge of route DL01, operating since January 2020. The route is 12.7km long, with travel time from 9am to 11pm every day. By the end of the first quarter of 2024, route DL01 has served nearly 200.000 passengers.
The Vietnam - Hanoi Tourism Joint Stock Company is in charge of route DL02, operating from August 2022. The route is 13.8km long, operating from 9am to 5:30pm every day. By the end of the first quarter of 2024, route DL02 has carried aproximately 150.000 passengers.
The above two routes have connecting routes between tourist attractions and historical relics and scenic spots to promote and develop tourism in Ho Chi Minh City.

Embark on a journey of tranquility and cultural exploration with our meditation tour in Vietnam. Combining breathtaking scenic wonders and rich cultural experiences, our tour offers deep meditation sessions to seek inner peace and happiness. Day 1: ARRIVE IN HANOI
Tumblr media
Full-day private city tour. Hanoi, the post-colonial capital city, boasts a unique blend of Asian charm with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, serene lakes, pagodas, and temples. This comprehensive tour will take you to the most intriguing sights of Hanoi, starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, his Stilt House, the Presidential Palace, and the nearby One Pillar Pagoda.

Our journey continues with a visit to the infamous Hoa Lo Prison, historically referred to as the “Hanoi Hilton” by prisoners of war during the Vietnam War.

Overland to Ha Long Bay, which has been twice awarded the title of World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee in 1994 and 2000. Upon arrival, we’ll check-in, enjoy a welcome drink, and receive a cruise briefing. Afterward, we’ll have lunch while cruising to explore the breathtaking Ha Long Bay, one of Vietnam’s most wondrous and scenic sights. Prepare to be amazed by the picturesque scenery, with over 3,000 limestone islets emerging magnificently from the clear and emerald waters. The bay is adorned with hundreds of peerless karst formations, beautiful grottoes, and caves.
Tumblr media
Wake up on the bay to the soothing sounds of waves and birds welcoming the new day. You will have the opportunity to witness the stunning sunrise over the bay while enjoying an invigorating Tai Chi session on the sundeck. After breakfast, we will visit a beautiful limestone grotto, followed by a leisurely walk back to the boat to capture a final glimpse of Halong Bay as we cruise back to the dock.
Tumblr media
In the morning, embark on a boat journey to explore a captivating and untamed cave complex including Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, and Nau Ruou. Witness the enchanting landscapes of mountains and rivers resembling Ha Long Bay in the picturesque region of Ninh Binh.
Afterwards, drive to Thanh Hoa to visit the Citadel of the Ho Dynasty, recognized as a world cultural heritage site in 2011. The citadel was built following the principles of feng shui and serves as a testimony to the flourishing of neo-Confucianism in late 14th-century Vietnam and its subsequent spread to other parts of East Asia. According to these principles, it was strategically situated in a landscape of exceptional scenic beauty, aligned with an axis that connects the Tuong Son and Don Son mountains, in the plain between the Ma and Buoi rivers. The citadel’s architecture represents an outstanding example of a new style of a Southeast Asian imperial city.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Driving to Hue, Vietnam’s last feudal capital, which has been recognized as a World Cultural Heritage Site since 1993. We will visit the Imperial Citadel, the Purple Forbidden City, and explore the bustling Dong Ba market.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the breakfast, we will depart for Hoi An. This ancient town, with a history of 600 years, is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a traditional Asian trading port and has been recognized as a World Cultural Heritage Site since 1999. During our visit, we will explore its colorful pagodas, temples, ancient houses, narrow streets, and amazing bridges that showcase a unique architectural blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese styles from the 16th century. In the late afternoon, we will take an excursion to Cam Chau village to witness the traditional lantern-making by the villagers. We will spend the night in Hoi An..
We are a team of experienced travel experts who have organized hundreds of buddhist spiritual retreat for customers from countries around the world.
