positivity for @viigilantem / @altlcgion : listen!!! I hecking ADORE roo!! They’re so lovely to talk to and to write with, all their characters are amazing and a lot of them deserve so much attention (Selene? I love). Not to mention their writing is so good to read, whether it’s our threads or their threads on the dashboard. They deserve all the love and I’m always so happy to see and talk to them

    She can’t help but smile at his words as much as they discredit what she’s trying to say. “Well, I definitely remember. You definitely signed a contract, and now you’re stuck with me.” Affectionate as a puppy, she nuzzles closer to him, her eyes fluttering closed. “I mean, legally, you know.”

I’m sending out some love to @hargrovc / @vigiilantem / all of their other urls!!! The mun is such a sweetheart and writes all of their characters so well, each one is distinct and different and feels so much like the actual character they’re writing (Roo are u actually Billy Hargrove in disguise??) not to mention their writing in general is so good and easy to read and I tend to read their threads if they pop up on my dash, even if they’re not ours. All in all I’m so glad to write with them !!

Jesse looks over at his boyfriend, his entire body still. Yeah... yeah that went about as well as expected. He sighs softly and sets the ring on the table as quietly as possible, even though he knows the other has already detected it, whether he heard it in his pocket or smelled the metal, but he tried. “I’m... I’m sorry... that was....” he sighs. “I’m not good at this, I’ve hardly been good this.” he motions back and forth between them. There is a pause and he chews his lip before he moves to try and take the ring off the table. 

Good job Jesse... ruining breakfast... why would he want to marry you? Look at you... a bloody mess is what you are.

Jesse shuts his eyes and begins to try and shut him out. That was not what he needed right now.

Hell’s Kitchen was neck to neck with Gotham thriving in crime and not too long ago, she, herself, could have been considered an enemy of his, a VERY big problem in a city that knows no peace. Violence was in her blood---it ran through her veins, ingrained since adolescence. ❝ Most men in your situation would have experienced burnout by now. having someone walk in in the middle of the night was enough to startle the mechanic, but as soon as he realised matt wasn’t a threat he forced himself to sit up in his bed, fingers rubbing the sleep from his eyes. “uh yeah- sure. what are you hiding from exactly?” it was obvious the guy had rushed out and left himself defenceless, well mostly. tony threw the covers to one side pulling himself out from under the covers, quickly grabbing his shirt to cover up. “sorry, you caught me off guard- well no, it’s three am but that’s not the point. whats the problem?”

“ oh, thank god. ” layla was still shaking when she welcomed matt inside, immediately locking the door behind him and leading the way into her living room. set upon the coffee table was an old, bit damaged camcorder with a note that told her she was next. the content was still unknown, but answering the door in the middle of the night only to find a possible threat in that format was unnerving enough to send her into desperate mode. “ i’m so sorry about the timing, but i didn’t know who else to call. ”

what could he do better than, say, the police? layla didn’t think about that, but she did trust him a little more. he’d proved to be a good friend and an even better lawyer in the past, when she’d needed to prove her innocence in a murder case that had taken place in her own office, no less. they’d eventually won the case and subsequently lost contact for a while, but she still kept his number. “ it’s on the coffee table, ” she told him, fidgeting. “ there’s a sticker attached… it says i’m next. ”

Quietly, Sarah took Matt’s hand, stepping closer to him. It wasn’t often she got these moments of insecurity, but while she was having one she wanted to be close to him. “It’s nothing, don’t worry,” she murmured, trying to ease his mind.

Jessica knew that Matt wasn't home when she broke into his place. She needed a place to crash and she didn't really trust anyone else so she had passed out on his couch pretty much the moment she dragged her drunk ass inside. She never usually slept well or even really slept long enough to make a difference.

She had had a bad couple of days; let's be honest, Jessica had had a bad life, it didn't seem to be getting any better. She was so soundly asleep that she didn't hear him when he got home, she had left the bottle on the floor near ner as she let her arm dangle over the side of the couch.
