Gratitude 19-10-2021

Grateful for being able to watch my beloved Real Madrid CF tonight. What a match it was. It was matchday 3 in UCL. We were in Ukraine playing against Shakhtar Donetsk. We played them last season and lost both home and away leg in group phase. But it was some ruthless performance/ display from my club. We were all over it. We won the match by a convincing 5-0 scoreline. Two goals from Vinicius, one each from Rodrygo and King Karim Benzema and one fortunate own goal to open the scoring. It is always a blessing to witness this club play such beautiful and attractive football. Don Carlo Ancelotti is in the dugout and although we were struggling defensively off late, but this was way too good. Ferland Mendy is back in the XI after ages and boy oh boy did we miss him. We kept a cleansheet after a long time. Time to move on to the next match which we will be playing against our arch-rivals, Barcelona in the el-clasico. The match is on the eve of my birthday and if we win (which I am sure we will), it will be some present. The best present I would say, nothing beats defeating Barcelona. Come on boys, let's build on this splendid performance. And yes, we are only getting started. Come on, let's go, vamos, grateful!
