Akshay Kumar recently announced his association with the game FAU-G after the government of India banned the game, PUBG. However, soon after Akshay Kumar announced his association with game, there were a lot of rumours regarding this being Sushant Singh Rajput’s brainchild. However, in an official statement, GOQii announced that there was no truth to this rumour. While the rumours did not stop, the company reached out to Bombay Civil Court for the same.
The Bombay Civil Court has now issued an interim order that says that the people trying to spread rumours will be restrained by the court. GOQii took to their Twitter to announce that those trying to spread fake and malicious rumours regarding the game will be prosecuted. Samir Bangara, the co-founder and chief executive of digital music platform Qyuki Digital Media, passed away on Sunday morning following a motorcycle accident, believed to have taken place on the outskirts of Mumbai, India’s commercial capital.
“We are all in a state of complete and utter despair and words will do no justice to express this loss. But it is our duty to absorb this shock for now so that we can be there for each other, especially for his family, just the way Samir would have liked us to,” said Sagar Gokhale, co-founder and chief operating officer of Qyuki, in a statement to the company’s employees, informing them of the tragedy.

Before taking over as chief executive, Bangara essayed multiple roles, across functions and organisations, including as venture capital investor, investment banker, C-Suite executive and startup founder.

The 46-year-old, a riding enthusiast, shot into prominence when he, along with founder Vishal Gondal, engineered the sale of home-grown video publisher Indiagames — where he was chief operating officer — to entertainment conglomerate Disney in 2012-13, for a reported $80-$100 million.

The University of Mumbai alum then served as managing director – digital for Disney India, for less than a year, before quitting to join Qyuki.
“Samir’s untimely passing way has been a big loss. I am honoured and blessed to have known him for over 20 years. He was truly a blessing and support in my life and I will miss him,” Gondal said.

Qyuki, a seven-year-old Mumbai-based startup, was initially launched by director Shekhar Kapur and Grammy and Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman in 2012, before the duo brought Bangara on board to head operations.
In February, the company reportedly closed a $3.5 million funding round led by Info Edge Venture Fund, the new alternate investment fund created by the owner of India’s largest job portal, Naukri, to invest in tech and tech-enabled entities.

In a statement, Vishal clarifies, “This statement is being issued to address certain ongoing conversations/rumours on social media that FAU- G was conceptualized by late actor Shri Sushant Singh Rajput, which is completely false and baseless."
