Go RUDY go! A US Navy CMV-22B Osprey callsign RUDY12 departs after a short pit stop. The new CMV-22B is the Navy variant of the Bell Boeing Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft. It has recently begun operations onboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) which is currently operating in the Indo-Pacific region. Replacing the venerable C-2A Greyhound which has been in service since the 1960s, the CMV-22B takes Carrier Onboard Delivery (COD) to another level with its versatility and enhanced capabilities.
