I met Gyuutaro as a kid of course, shared my lunch with him and Ume and it became a routine when I realized they never had their own food. Ume would stay with me often because she always asked and before I knew it Gyuutaro also started to stay too, not that he wasn’t already acting like our defensive little shadow.

We got together round highschool after my Quinceanera because he refused to let anyone else possibly be my date hehe

AJISJF Kail you are so sweet to me this is mostly a BIIIG mess because I took me forever to iron out what I even wanted because Gyuutaro struck me as both a fire bender AND a water bender (for blood bending as well as for backstory’s sake but I wanted something ✨new✨for us hehe)

So I chose being a ‘runaway’ princess of the water tribe, discarded because a prophet / fortune teller told me parents their next child would be blessed by the water spirit and they’d heard of it once before. Hair as white as snow for the babe but when I was born it was black; their disappointment evident so they continued to try and fulfill their prophecy until they had another child that had the stark white hair they figured their child would have and ultimately disregarded and ignored me because they had not only the foretold child but a son at that.

Despite how I was blessed by the ocean spirit and therefore a powerful bender in my own respect.

So I abandon my ‘home’ and opt to travel the world as conflicts are growing and the fire nations influence is being forced upon the great nations. Avoiding fire nation colonies and settlements for the most part before ultimately settling around the earth kingdoms city of Omashu.

Opening a little flower shop for myself and selling to lovebirds that want to visit the Cave of Two Lovers. A nice little quiet life for myself that I enjoy.

Before the peace is disturbed by the fire nations conquest. Meeting Gyuutaro after they’ve taken over the city and he’s coming to ‘shake down’ business owners calling it a tax. Working his way from the upper areas of the city downward until he reaches me. Coming in the middle of the night because he doesn’t care, plus aren’t you more likely to fork over what he wants when your sleep is disturbed?

And girl he shakes me down to fucking COPPER PIECES. Tipping my chin after he’s gotten all of his money with a mean spirited cackle and a once over of me and liking what he sees he adds a, “I’ll be back at the end of the month.”

Naturally tired of taking the shit that’s given to me I decide to take back. Practicing blood bending when the moon rises while I steal shit BACK from the firebenders, all of them reporting not being able to control their bodies for a a short period while I rob them blind. Making them ‘willingly’ give back all the money they stole to a figure cloaked in black wearing a mask with only a stark white crescent moon painted onto the forehead.

Catching Gyuutaros interest OBVIOUSLY and he goes out at night in the hopes of finding me. And for the selfship art I think I just have that centered as the random encounter at a festival the locals hold despite the fire nation making life less fun in the area

I was gonna say ‘in this au specifically’ but truly in every universe we’ve got it’s always him first. It’s always starts with me meeting them purely but coincidence and caring for him because he looks like he needs him.

😊 🔪 so how did you and gyutaro first smooch

I’m gonna use my modern AU gyuutaro for this one < 3

We met at work, I was one of the vendors that regularly came into the store he worked to make orders for him. It took me like a month before I gave him my personal number instead of my work number and STILL only texted him after like 2 weeks of him having it one the one day he wasn’t there that I came in.

After that we talk constantly about everything and nothing. Talking late into the night until I fell asleep first and then texting him back in the morning to carry on the conversation. Transitioning to phone calls because it was easier for both of us to hide our earbuds with our hair while at work so we could just talk all day.

The first time we kiss is a week and a half after talking nonstop. I came into his job upset over something that happened earlier in the day and we hadn’t been talking. He took a break and walked with me to the back to let me vent and he ends up just kissing me whenever I’m rambling on angrily and ready to start crying again. 🥺👉🏽👈🏽

It actually surprised me and he was holding his breath because he just randomly kissed me before I grabbed his shirt and told him “do it again maybe it’ll make me feel better”

I stay in modern and my favorite one will always be our band au. We meet pretty early on (ofc), he always comes over with his sister and stay for ‘far too long’ according to my parents but we’re close. Stay close. Making sure they’re fed and I make sure she has nice clothes (giving her extra of my own. Stealing my brothers for gyuutaro)

We end up meeting Hakuji in high school and after discovering the family life me and Gyuutaro were both living he offered for us to stay with him. Gyuutaro was two years older than me so when he was 18 he emancipated me at 16 and of course Ume is in our care since she’s still 12 and we moved in with Hakuji.

Gyuutaro dropped out of school (he’d gotten himself held back to stay in school with me) but I help him get his GED while he works before him and Hakuji end up forming their band with Hakuji on drums and gyuutaro as the lead vocalist.

And funnily enough me and taro are so dumb we don’t acknowledge or admit either of us are in love with one another but everyone usually figured we were dating. Not fully really getting together until the bands taken off when he’s 20 (they’d performed locally for about 2 years) and I’m 18.

In modern gyuutaro tattooed mine and his bite mark on either shoulder of tenkos shoulder, his and tens bite mark on either of mine and mine and tens on either of his. (Gyuutaro also has Soy celosa, lo siento tattooed underneath his collarbone because he’s possessive of me and ten to a severe degree hehe)

In quirk au me and Ten are together first and Gyuutaro is introduced but in modern me and Gyuutaro knew each other from childhood before meeting Tenko
