During this time of anxiety and uncertainty, I am constantly ways to uplift and inspire the community—be it the recent videos I have created, or the free portfolio consultations for creatives across the globe. I would like to urge all, with voices small or big, to do their part and help transform the bleak landscape into something brighter. It cannot be more timely when Wacom Singapore reached out to me to take part in their #wacomfightscovid campaign. 6 artists from 6 different countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam) have come together to use our creativity for a good cause; to bring awareness to public health messages that are effective, accessible and shareable. The message I have been assigned is Myth busting, in a nutshell- fake and misinformation sources of news are becoming rampant and it is causing damage unimaginable to many aspects in our lives. I would like to express this view using my art to inform the world to be more informed- with good multiple sources, not to panic when viral messages get shared around, always to think and research critically about what is out there. To be part of this movement: 1. Pick one of the six themes (Personal hygiene, Social distancing, Know the symptoms, Kindness contagion, Myth busting, Do more, Donate). 2. Create an artwork within the chosen theme, regardless of format (image, video, etc). For further guidelines, check out https://bit.ly/WacomSGcreate4abetterworld. 3. Submit your work on your public FB/IG pages before 21 May 2020. 4. In your post, include #wacomfightscovid #wacomSG and tag Wacom Singapore. 5. Artworks will be shortlisted and will go through public voting. 6. The highest voted artwork in each country will receive a Wacom Cintiq 16 (worth S$888). Consolation prizes of 1 x Wacom Intuos S Non-BT and 5 x Wacom Totebags also up for grabs! I cannot wait to see what you guys will create! Let's do this.
