Girl kitten Waffles and her brother French Toast have Panleukopenia, a lethal virus that claims the life of so many kittens. If caught in time, critical fast intervention and treatment gives them a fighting chance. These two have been responding to care but they need a blood transfusion as they have severe anemia and are so very sick. It’s hard to look helpless kittens in the eye and not be able to help. It hurts us to the bone. They have been in intensive care at the Animal Medical Center for two days and have made progress but they have a ways to go. Can you help us get them a blood transfusion and another day of ICU hospitalization? French Toast and Waffles were rescued from a backyard in Queens. There were four kittens. One died before he was rescued. Their sibling, Pancake didn’t make it through the day and died in the hospital. These two are the sole survivors of their litter and they are strong and want to live but they can’t do it on their own. They need us.
