Zatna’s Animal Familiar

Crow

The Crow is a very interesting, complex familiar to have, and seems to have a lot of personality to its behavior. Though it is seen by some as representing evil, it is in fact a sign of luck as well, either good or bad, and is strongly tied with magic as well. Despite its worse side of its reputation, it is not a trickster, but in fact very wise and adaptable. In the same way, you are a very intelligent and creative individual, though you may be misunderstood by your peers.

The Crow familiar brings good luck to their master, acts as a mentor or guidance to them, and inspires them with bright and creative ideas.

alright, well. i’ve already done this for you seb ( even tho tumblr decided to delete the two long responses i did for it so i rage quit & made a short one ) so. i will go more in-depth here & focus on character relations

so! @lady-warnaen-blackthorn is a character with a lot of depth, even if it’s often not allowed to be fully explored. she’s kind, and she’s caring, but she’s also lonely and semi-murderous and deeply suffering from loss and grief. warn doesnt rly deal with her emotions, they just sort of… exist, and though she doesnt actively try to hide them she’s not open abt them either. all in all, warn is a character who could absolutely be charged w/ several crimes & absolutely be guilty of them, but at the same time is the kind of person you dont want to see rot in a prison or the like. as you said to me yesterday: she’s not good but she’s not bad either. she’s overall v interesting

as for nyura, well… first of all, i’ll have to admit i only rly know her ( both character and mun ) through you, seb. i followed her blog bc of you. i originally got interested in her character bc of you & all the things you yelled @ me abt when warn & nyura’s relationship was originally developing

i still don’t know a lot abt nyura, but my god she’s an interesting character. she’s such a carefree, norm-breaking elf; a breath of fresh air from all the high and mighty “holier-than-thou” elf characters out there. nyura is one of those characters who i want to know more abt, who i want to interact with, but simply have no idea on how, where, why, or who, yknow?

thats nyura’s mun also has been such a good friend to you, seb, is just a gigantic added bonus tbh

The sounds of rumaging in the kitchen is what woke Nyura up innitially. It took her about three minutes to realize Morrigan was not in the kitchen and, in fact, very much asleep on the other half of the bed.

So, in an tank top and sweats, Nyura grabbed a blade from a hidden sheath and eased out into the living room- to find Warnaen eating cereal. Nyura’s expression was almost literally ._.

“Warn..” She started, “I’m gonna make you go get more milk if you used it all.”

The great hall of the manor was crowded, displaced Gilnean nobles both known and forgotten all gathering together, the cacophony of voices echoing off the walls as each conversed and debated among themselves. A neutral noble House, and Greymane supporter, hosted the gathering in the lands they purchased to the far southeast of Elwynn.

Not eager to dive into the waters of nobility, Kat lingered on the edge of the crowd, propping herself against the wall with a glass in hand, silently observing and listening to the conversation of those around her. The Hawke family name had remained dead by her own will, though few remembered, allowing the Director entry to the gathering, playing on the few House connections that still remained.

With the push into Lordaeron growing stronger with each passing month, displaced Gilneans began to place their hopes in retaking their homeland, along with the territories many houses lost with the closing of the Wall. Several Houses found distant families in Kul Tiras, focusing efforts there and attempting to persuade others in abandoning the lands of Gilneas. In contrast, other Houses urged for the push north, seeking to reclaim what was lost and return their nation to it’s former glory.

With a long sip from the glass, Kat kept her opinions to herself, neither agreeing or disagreeing with either side of the debate. She was here only to observe, to track the agendas of Gilnean nobles, and predict courses of action should one decide to “go rogue” or become radical in their views.

That totally works. If she’s a Lady, she might not have known Rin when she was still young, since she was just a commoner, but they could have crossed paths in Stormwind. Gilnean heritage can certainly create solidarity. @lady-warnaen-blackthorn

The Meat Shield

AKA: how your character acts as if they were an in-game follower!

Selection Line: “Your survival is my priority.”

Class: Demon Hunter (Vengeance with certain dragon inspirations).

Weapons: Can use one-handed axes, one-handed swords, and warglaives. Carries around four of those along with a bow and quiver, all of which are disguised as jewellery. Fel spells and acidic nature magic.

AI Behavior: If aggro’d without initiating the attack, Mateth will use his bow and arrow. If the enemies get within 10 feet of the player, he will switch to close range weapons and infernal strikes to the enemies. However, if the player initiates the battle, Mateth uses infernal strike the moment the enemies get within range.

He does his all to keep aggro off of the player and uses several group control spells to lessen damage taken for the player. 

Battle Lines:

“Is this really necessary?” - Enemy initiates fight.

“You sure you will not regret this?” - Player initiates fight.

*Terrifying roar* - Taunt.

“Your souls aren’t even your own, how are you supposed to win?” - Spirit bomb.

“Give it up. It’s not worth it.” - One enemy left.

“Alright just- just stay behind me.” - Five or more enemies.

“See this? This is what anxiety feels like!” - Ten or more enemies.

“Fuck.” - Fifteen or more enemies.

Cooldowns:

“Still, you fools!”- Sigil of Misery.

“I would recommend you look away.” - Metamorphosis.

“Silence! Your idiocy hurts my brain.” - Sigil of Silence.

“The floor is lava.” - Sigil of Flame.

“Burn.” - Fiery brand.

Exiting Battle:

“Could have been worse.” - Above 20% health.

“Barely- barely made it.” - Below 5% health.

“I cannot count this as a victory. I’m sorry.” - Player died.

"Thank you.” - Exiting battle before having done any damage.

“That will scar them, you know.” - Leaving one enemy alive.

KO’d:

"This never... feels good...”

“I’ll... be back.”

“Spread my ashes o...over my- hrgh--over my recli-cliner...”

“Dad clocking out.”

Resurrected:

“I will never understand how that works on being of fel.” - Using the Light.

Umbrella for Phoenix from warn

send ☔ or ‘umbrella’ to cover my muse with an umbrella during a downpour|| thank you @lady-warnaen-blackthorn !

Running as fast as her short legs let her, Phoenix pushes through the heavy rain. The ground has been turned to mud, to the point she’d call it more swamp than anything else, and it sticks heavily to whichever parts of her it has landed on. Phoenix’s boots are suffering mostly from the change in texture, but her arms, hair, and torso are splattered with cakes of mud, too. The skin and clothes on her hands and knees have been fully covered by mud from the couple of times Phoenix has fallen, but the discomfort doesn’t stop her.

The weather be damned. This entire day be damned, honestly. It was supposed to be a nice little journey through a forest to study its animal and plant life, and how the use of the Arcane has effected them. But everything that could possibly go wrong of course had to go wrong.

Hawkstrider? Gone. Attacked by a bear and ran off, which Phoenix of course didn’t get away from without having to kill the creature and sustain an injury from her shoulder and down her chest. Bless blink, otherwise the bear would have ripped her chest open. Several spells blew up in Phoenix’s face due to the natural magic force in the area, which is why she wanted to study this place in the first place. Lord knows she did not expect it to be this strong, though.

The failed spells rendered her coat useless, and now this weather. Phoenix is definitely going to be sick. She groans just at the thought - or maybe it’s because the world is doing something funny and- yep, that’s the ground. Phoenix is on the ground again, rain pricking her part of her body like annoying little thorns.

The feeling of thorns disappear after a while, and Phoenix looks up. A human is standing above her, umbrella in hand, and covering her from the rain.

“Uh,” Phoenix grunts, brows furrowing. “Hi?”
