“Marlene!”  Frank exclaimed in surprise when he saw the woman at the bar. He had woken him in this world, with his old memories swirled in with the new ones, including the one where Alce had killed him. He was more than a little confused and his demeanor probably mimcked it. He moved up to the bar and ran a hand through his hair, “What the hell is going on here?”

Frank shoved the perp into the back of the police car and shut the door, panting after the chase, “Jesus, I need to hit the gym,” he joked to his partner, “Why can’t they just come quietly? It’s not like running away does them any good.”

“Really?” Frank was surprised to hear that, “They seem like they mean a lot to you just from how well preserved the records themselves are,” he said, “You’ve got quite an extensive collection there.”

Frank had been staying at a friend’s place while he tried to wrap his head around remembering his old life and, well, being sane. He also worried about what Alice remembered about Valentine’s Day. He had tried confessing his feelings while unaware and they had ended up at each other’s throats. However, he eventually had to go home and get his things and face Alice. He didn’t know how to act so was planning to see how she would react. He opened the door, locking it behind him, and seeing Alice there, “Hey...” he said quietly.

"Magnus, it's good to see you again," Frank said. He knew the man through Alec but he had not seen him since he had his old memories back, "Care to join me for a drink?" he asked, gesturing to the stool next to his at the bar.

Frank sighed, “The other way around unfortunately... She killed me. I remembered some things that I’d forgotten. Like the person I thought was my best friend and roommate is actualy my wife... she doesn’t remember that,” he smiled grimly. He raised an eyebrow in surprise, “Yeah. I am. I’m a wizard actually. How do you know that?”

“I shoulda known you were bad news,” Frank teased, nudging her playfully, “What am I gonna do with you, Fortescue? Always getting me into trouble.”

“Don’t worry about me, you should see the other guy,” Frank said, smiling through the pain of his newly treated busted lip and bruised cheek, “He’s in jail for theft and assaulting a police officer. He’s in big trouble,” he explained, laughing.

“Sorry, did you say something?” Frank asked, looking up from his lunch. He was still trying to figure out what the heck was going on in this world and why he suddenly remembered and what to do about Alice. Now, he had all that and he was starving so his focus was not great, “My mind was elsewhere. What’s up?”

Frank furrowed his brow at the other. He got a gut feeling with him, that they’d met before but he couldn’t place it. It was the same feeling when he met that Bellatrix woman but in a positive way. He wasn’t sure how he felt about these gut feelings but he suddenly felt bad that he didn’t recognise the other, “I’m really sorry but I don’t think I know you. But you seem to know me... where have we met before?”

Frank was reading over a police report, sitting just outside the station for some fresh air before he went in and submitted it to his boss. He was sitting on the stairs, not realising that he may be in someone’s way until they were standing in front of him, “Oh, hey. Sorry, am I in your way? I can move.”
