#video#music#rule of rose#tremendously fond memories of both this track and the area it plays in#gregory's house was probably one of my favorite areas#the music and the flashbacks to gregory hanging around#and what it begins to reveal about the relationship between jennifer and wendy#it was also a welcome respite from the previous chapter since i always saved the mermaid for the end#it's such a tough fight that i liked to spend the first two chapters farming as many health items as possible#was it a perfect game that's universally appealing designwise? no.#but it rewired my brain and completely changed how i thought about writing and about compassion#it's one of those formative experiences that i wouldn't have gotten if i'd stuck to just '10/10' games#so it has a fond place in my heart despite how i struggled with the mechanics#Youtube
