Cannabis 21 - Aberdeen Dispensary
Marijuana 21 examines the recreational cannabis market in Grays Harbor, Washington in this article. Our constant goal is to make superior cannabis products available to every dispensary, and we won't give up on it. Aberdeen, Washington Visit one of our three locations—Aberdeen, Hoquiam, or Ocean Shores—at your convenience to peruse our extensive collection. It would make us very happy if you could accept our gracious offer. We are aware that when we collaborate, we can produce amazing outcomes. Your ideal wedding will become a reality thanks to their positive attitude and willingness to assist. We really value your in-depth analysis. All county residents are welcome to utilize our services. Elma and Ocean Shores, two of the town groups that make up Hoquiam and Montasano, as well as Westport, are located here. Our goal in providing you with this option is to make things easier for you. There may be a lot of excellent dispensaries in the Twin Harbors area. When it comes to dispensaries in Twin Harbors, nobody does it better than us. We have been able to successfully hold the title of "Best on the Twin Harbors" for the last five years.
Dispensary Aberdeen, WA
Making contact with the farmers by someone from our procurement staff was also beneficial. Once you eat this salad, you won't believe how much work went into cooking it. They went above and above to build trustworthy relationships with the farmers. The majority of glassware owned by collectors is completely original. For most individuals, vaporizers, grinders, and silicon are just beyond of reach financially. This is actually happening! The 98520 zip code and the neighborhood are serviced by the vape shop located at Ten18 E Wishkah Street. They have an attitude that rivals that of our highest-ranking admirals. precisely where you mentioned.
Don't ever plant seeds on unmodified soil. There are farmers living in this area. Spending time with them could be exhausting.
Fundamentally, the cannabis plant is just like any other plant. The farmer's market had a plethora of beautiful seasonal produce, even with the broken glass. Why? Why? If there are plenty, I can at last unwind. Before they can be eaten, meat, eggs, and fruit must have traveled at least 100 miles from Aberdeen, Washington. Those that attend these events are typically nicer and more laid back. Similar scenery can be found in eastern Washington. Not even scientists and bakers utilize robots to choose their ingredients. Working together with these people was a privilege.
My studies and interviews indicate that I will never lack anything. In every case, the gracious staff came to the rescue. Their reasoning is so complicated that I cannot even begin to understand it. I got the absolutely fantastic idea not so long ago to invest in a competitor. Thankfully, I was presented with an incredible opportunity in the cannabis sector. I'm still going shopping. Even though I have never experienced anxiety or trouble sleeping, this nevertheless happened to me. I can unwind and enjoy myself while I'm here. After our conversation, I felt like more than simply a client. You ought to stick with your current strategy because it is working (C21). Permit me to share some wonderful news with you. Go to Trevor's Church to get the supplies you need to finish this quest. Everything you could have imagined, it seemed, had materialized.
The answer is rather obvious! Everyone was staring at Jolene Deboer.
It is unlike anything else in the cosmos.
They are also a wonderful, encouraging family. I just ask for their advise when they ask if I need anything else since that's all I need. I have everything I could ever want right here. The mix of intense heat, intense stomach dryness, and overwhelming thirst was the worst pain I had ever experienced. We shall continue till the object returns to its original bright color. If all else is equal, we have already determined that I should introduce myself. Please allow me to introduce myself. Please allow me to introduce myself. Please allow me to introduce myself. Please allow me to introduce myself. Please allow me to introduce myself. I shall never waver in my commitment to the goals of the organization. Giving back to a great cause is one of life's most fulfilling experiences. Reaching out to clients to inquire about their well-being is one of my favorite aspects of my job as a customer service manager. Our key goals are to keep the workplace tidy and to minimize the amount of time customers must wait. These are just a handful of the many possible ways that the MINDI function can be interpreted: First of all
Among our numerous triumphs in 2020 was being named the finest marijuana business in Aberdeen and the Twin Harbors. Even thinking about it makes me nauseous. Dispensary Aberdeen, WA Each and every band member has extraordinary talent. We have been given these distinctions. Since no other Twin Harbors company offers cannabis liquor, we are even more honored to have received the "Best of Twin Harbors" award. This is what we owe to our total success. The most bothersome aspect is our customer service, which is the reason why our voters chose us for the position.
Smiling Smiles provides an amazing assortment of products and goes above and above to reward devoted consumers. Numerous well-known figures in the medical marijuana industry hang out at this beach café.
Shaney Frame's second cousin is actually a well-known Crosby relative.
When I landed in Aberdeen, this magnificent work of art was waiting for me. We are very grateful to the personnel for their generosity and kindness. In my opinion, it's excellent from the standpoint of the client.

ALL YOU NEED ABOUT POSTAL CODE / ZIPCODE OF UNITED STATE OF AMERICA
The United States of America (U.S.A. or USA), commonly known as the United States (U.S. or US) or America, is a country primarily located in North America. It consists of 50 states, a federal district, five major unincorporated territories, nine Minor Outlying Islands, and 326 Indian reservations. The United States is also in free association with three Pacific Island sovereign states: the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau. It is the world’s third-largest country by both land and total area. It shares land borders with Canada to its north and Mexico to its south and maritime borders with the Bahamas, Cuba, Russia, and other nations. With a population of over 333 million, it is the most populous country in the Americas and the third most populous in the world. The national capital of the United States is Washington, D.C. and its most populous city and principal financial center is New York City.
USA ZIP CODE
The United States Postal Service utilizes ZIP Codes, which are postal codes used by the USPS. The basic format consisted of five digits since its introduction in 1963. In 1983, a longer ZIP+4 code was introduced; it contained the five digits of the ZIP Code followed by a hyphen and four digits that specified a more precise location.
The abbreviation ZIP represents Zone Improvement Plan; it was chosen to imply that the mail travels more swiftly and efficiently (zipping along) when senders utilize the ZIP code in their postal address. The term ZIP Code was initially enrolled as a service mark by the USPS; its enlistment lapsed in 1997.
WHAT IS ZIP IN THE US ADDRESS?
The American ZIP code was created during an era of economic prosperity in the United States. It emerged as a result of increased demand for services and a surge in commerce during the first and second World War eras. Old mail delivery methods were rapidly crumbling due to the need for information to move faster across the United States continent, all at once.
1960
In the 1960s, Robert Moon, a former United States Postal Service (USPS), developed a new system formally executed in 1963 after a 20-year development process. Moon’s plan, based on a predetermined numerical system rather than a less formal recall of well-known cities, counties, and states, generated contention and a 20-year battle. When Moon died in 2001, he was credited with creating the first three digits of USA ZIP codes.
1967
In 1967, the USPS began assigning ZIP codes to all mail delivered in the United States. Compared to 30 billion pieces of mail handled during the Great Depression, the USPS now takes 80 billion pieces of correspondence every year. Meanwhile, a new age in transportation was emerging through trucks and planes capable of moving things faster than rail-based systems.
ZIP+4 ( 5 DIGITS US ZIP CODES)
The U.S. Postal Service introduced an enlarged ZIP Code system in 1983 known as “ZIP+4,” commonly referred to as “plus-four codes,” “add-on codes,” or “add-ons.” A ZIP+4 code utilizes the fundamental five-digit principle in addition to four extra digits to recognize a geographic fragment inside the five-digit conveyance region, for example, a city block, a gathering of lofts, a singular high-volume collector of mail, a mailing station box, or whatever another unit that could utilize an additional an identifier to help with effective mail arranging and conveyance.
TYPE AND USE
USA ZIP Codes are divided into four categories:
Unique: allocated to a solitary high-volume address Post Office Box-only: utilized uniquely for PO Boxes at a given office, not really for some other kind of conveyance Military: used to course mail for the U.S. military Standard: We offer products and services for all ZIP Codes.

Whats is Postal Code?
Tumblr media
A postal code is a series of letters and numbers that helps a person or a company locate the location of a given address. These codes are used in the United States, Europe, and other parts of the world. The system helps to ensure that mail is delivered as accurately and quickly as possible.
Postal codes are written at the beginning or the end of a mailing address, depending on the country. Often, the code is combined with other characters and/or symbols to provide additional information.
In some countries, the postal code may also include other elements such as a zip code. A zip code is a five-digit numeric number that represents a delivery destination. It is used to identify the address, and sometimes it is also used as a landmark.
The first digit of a full 9-digit ZIP code indicates the area of the country. For example, the first digit is tied to northern New England. Depending on the country, a ZIP code could be a free-floating, unrelated, or highly specific system.
The ZIP code is often the shortest route to a destination. Many are loosely based on administrative areas. But in reality, they often cross county and state lines.
One of the oldest and most effective delivery systems in the world, the postal code is used by multiple countries across the globe. Some use a simple, five-digit system, while others use a more complex, nine-digit system.
In the United States, the zip code is the most common and most effective of all the postal codes. As of 2013, there were over 260 million postal codes in the US, spanning all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

The Threat That COVID-19 Poses Now
After a year of waves and surges, the pandemic is entering a “tornado” phase in America.
After more than a year of pandemic, after months of an aggressive vaccination campaign, the United States should finally be better positioned to protect itself against the coronavirus. Nearly all of our long-term-care residents are vaccinated. Tens of millions of other people have been vaccinated, and tens of millions more have some level of immunity from previous infection. With more people protected, a new surge could behave differently, but early signals from the states with rising case numbers suggest that this will not universally be the case.
Just look at Michigan, the leading edge of this new surge. Cases are going up quickly, and hospitalizations are moving in lockstep—just as they have in past surges. This is a bit of a surprise. Given that so many older, more vulnerable people have been vaccinated, one might expect a divergence in the number of cases and hospitalizations. For the immunized, this disease is essentially harmless. Washington State, for example, has reported just 100 cases and as few as eight hospitalizations among its 1.2 million fully vaccinated people. But for the vulnerable and unvaccinated, COVID-19 is as devastating as it has always been.
Tumblr media
The United States is entering a new phase of the pandemic. Although we’ve previously described the most devastating periods as “waves” and “surges,” the more proper metaphor now is a tornado: Some communities won’t see the storm, others will be well fortified against disaster, and the most at-risk places will be crushed. The virus has never hit all places equally, but the remarkable protection of the vaccines, combined with the new attributes of the variants, has created a situation where the pandemic will disappear, but only in some places. The pandemic is or will soon be over for a lot of people in well-resourced, heavily vaccinated communities. In places where vaccination rates are low and risk remains high, more people will join the 550,000 who have already died.
Cases are rising sharply in several different cities, but the patterns look different. In Michigan, some smaller, whiter counties have vaccination rates twice as high as in Detroit, where rising cases are concentrated and the vaccination rate among the city’s mostly Black population is still low. According to national survey data, in line with political divergences over masks and social distancing, vaccine hesitancy is now highest among Republicans and white evangelical Christians. In Philadelphia, zip codes that are relatively whiter but have lower educational attainment have experienced the most case growth over the past 30 days. Baltimore’s outbreak is growing too, but the data are messy.
In these places, and in other hot spots around the country, the rise in cases is an acute crisis that public-health officials should battle with all the available tools, as Zeynep Tufekci noted this week. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky spent her weekly press conference on Monday pleading with the American people, noting “the recurring feeling I have of impending doom.” She asked the country to “work together to prevent a fourth surge,” and compared the pandemic’s path here to the experience of Germany, Italy, and France, where cases have spiked dramatically in the past few weeks.
But the United States might chart its own, very unequal track in the coming weeks. Three distinct factors are now shaping this country’s pandemic experience.
First, the United States did a terrible job preventing transmission of the disease. The country's level of excess death—the margin over the number of deaths expected in a typical year—has been high, signaling that the pandemic's true toll has been even steeper than the officially tabulated COVID-19 deaths. Most other countries did not experience the same levels of consistent transmission. A year of unchecked spread means that our 30 million reported cases are a fraction of the total number of people who have been infected. Most estimates place the number closer to 100 million, and possibly tens of millions more.
So unlike in Germany, for example, which fairly effectively suppressed the virus, tens of millions of people in the U.S. have some level of immunity. While reinfection may be more common with some current or future variants, it has been rare so far. That high level of past infection should now help reduce transmission of the virus via population immunity.
Second, the U.S. is vaccinating people quite efficiently. It has given out the largest absolute number of doses in the world, and trails only a few much smaller countries (Israel, the U.K., and Chile among them) in the percentage of the population that’s been vaccinated. Almost three-quarters of the U.S. population over 65 has received at least one dose of the vaccine, with nearly half now fully inoculated. On a percentage basis, the U.S. has immunized nearly three times the number of people that Germany, Italy, and France have, and in two months, the U.S. will almost certainly have a very large percentage of vaccinated adults.
Third, the virus has had staggeringly unequal effects on the American population. For a person of a given age, the risk for certain racial and ethnic groups is several times that of a white person. Native American, Latino, Pacific Islander, and Black communities have suffered large and deadly outbreaks across the country. Our heterogeneous population and racialized economic hierarchy have exposed many people of color to higher levels of risk at home and at work. The same factors—as well as, perhaps, distrust of the medical establishment—are holding down vaccination rates in poorer places with less access to care. So some communities have both higher risk and fewer fully protected people.
This all makes for an extremely messy and volatile near-term situation. The first two factors mean that some places will see the pandemic’s worst pressures fade. The timing is great for those places, such as California, because they will have a chance to get more and more people vaccinated. But where the virus is already spreading quickly, the danger is still high, and the days are running out to slow transmission via vaccination.
In these places, it’s still unclear if previous disease or new vaccination will shift the pandemic’s darkest pattern. In every previous surge, a rise in deaths has lagged behind a rise in cases by a few weeks. Perhaps this time deaths will not rise to the level that they did in the past. Or low vaccination rates combined with possibly more deadly variants could mean that in some communities, the toll of this surge will match that of the winter’s.
In Michigan, both hospital admissions and cases are moving swiftly toward the height of the winter peak. So far, the fatality numbers have not turned upward. Now we can only wait to see if deaths will follow hospitalizations at the pace of past surges—or if something has changed.

"An insurrection of upper-middle class white people | Will Bunch Newsletter
They flew from their affluent suburbs to the U.S. Capitol, ready to die for the cause of white privilege
The stunning pro-President-Trump insurrection that occurred at the U.S. Capitol less than a week ago must have been a carnival for one’s olfactory bulb, as the stinging aroma of tear gas blended with the pungent odors of the occasional joint, or maybe the piles of dung that some of the cruder mob members left in the hallways once graced by icons like Daniel Webster, Henry Clay, and LBJ. The only thing that wasn’t in the air on Wednesday was the smell of what so many have falsely tied to Trump’s authoritarian movement — any whiff of “economic anxiety.”
When fascism finally came to America in the form of an attempted coup to halt our presidential election, it came from lush-green suburbs all across this land, flying business class on Delta or United and staying in four-star hotels with three-martini lobby bars — the better to keep warm after a long day of taking selfies with friendly cops or pummeling the unfriendly ones, chanting “Hang Mike Pence!” and generally standing athwart democracy yelling “Halt!”
Long ridiculed as deplorables rising up from the muck of Rust Belt trailer parks, the Donald Trump counter-revolution has finally revealed itself as an upper-middle-class affair.
What else can one think after seeing the photo of Jenna Ryan, real-estate broker from the upscale Dallas exurb of Frisco (also a “conservative” radio talker) posing in front of the private jet that whisked her to the Jan. 6 pro-Trump rally and subsequent storming of the Capitol, where she smiled in front of a window broken by other rioters and tweeted that “if the news doesn’t stop lying about us we’re going to come after their studios next”?
Maybe Ryan is an extreme example, but her compatriots in rushing Capitol Hill on Wednesday included a father of three from another upscale Dallas suburb named Larry Rendall Brock Jr., whose 1989 degree in international relations from the Air Force Academy apparently never taught him that it’s a bad idea to be photographed leaving House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office in a combat helmet, tactical gear, and holding zip-tie handcuffs.
One might also expect a criminal defense lawyer like McCall Calhoun of Americus, Ga., to know that it’s surely illegal to surge past a line of cops into the U.S. Capitol, even if, as you later told a newspaper, you believed your fellow rioters wer people who “don’t want to lose their democratic republic.” Or that it’s bad form to do this after tweeting about a looming civil war or the potential hanging of President-elect Joe Biden.
Political junkies like us remember 2000′s “Brooks Brothers riot” of well-heeled GOP activists and lobbyists that successfully halted Florida vote recounting in populous Dade County. Apparently what we witnessed Wednesday was the “Pottery Barn insurrection.” As key figures who invaded the Capitol have been steadily identified over the last five or six days, it’s remarkable how many alleged lawbreakers emerged from upscale zip codes.
The stay-at-home dad husband of a physician. The son of an elected judge in Brooklyn. The owners of numerous small businesses, as well as assorted state legislators. The New York Times spent four years looking for Trump voters in Ohio diners, but apparently that’s not where they would have found failed actor Jacob Chansley, a.k.a. Jake Angeli, the infamous shirtless rioter with the painted face and horns, who reportedly hasn’t eaten since his arrest because there’s no organic food in jail.
Yes, many of the 74 million citizens who voted for the guy who then incited an attempted coup do fit the stereotype of struggling or laid-off blue-collar worker in a rusted-out rural community. But those folks aren’t the ones who can take a Wednesday off and fly hundreds of miles, let alone plunk down hundreds of dollars, to get to the nation’s hub. While the Capitol mob was bulked up with other Trumpists — including an alarming number of off-duty police officers, as well as some neo-Nazi or KKK types who’ve been around forever — it was the 401(k) crowd that formed the front line of America’s first real putsch.
If that surprises you, then you weren’t really paying attention. For the last four years, political scientists have been trying to wrap their brains around Trump’s shocking 2016 victory in the Electoral College while trying to tell us that the 45th president’s true base is a lot of things — but it’s not poor. In fact, polling guru Nate Silver noted during 2016′s primaries that the average Trump voter had a median household income of $72,000, which was both higher than the national average and also higher than the numbers that year for supporters of Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
Interestingly, Silver and other analysts have found that Trump performs particularly well with voters with high incomes yet often without college diplomas (although he also does better with degree holders than he gets credit for). A researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, the political scientist Diana Mutz, found that Trump voters generally weren’t struggling economically yet did feel great anxiety about their status — whether the threat was the rise of a foreign power like China or the idea that America, and its government, was becoming increasingly nonwhite.
That explains a lot. It explains why the Republican Party, arguably in a long downward moral spiral, lost its mind when America elected its first Black president in Barack Obama. It explains why so many people with the luxuries of a laptop and free time (things that actual poor folks have in short supply) look for conspiracies like QAnon to explain a society that no longer makes sense for them, or why so much of the hatred on the right is expended not at the CEOs who outsourced American jobs but at the cap-and-gown-wearing eggheads like journalists or scientists they find intellectually arrogant.
The main reason that so many reasonably well-off folks tried to shut down American democracy wasn’t because they feared losing their paycheck, but because they feared losing their white privilege. Donald Trump had promised that “I alone can fix it” — that he’d protect them from a society where Black and brown essential workers could expect help from their government during a pandemic or ask the police to stop killing them, a world that where just being white no longer guaranteed the status they were promised as kids. They truly believed that Biden, Kamala Harris, and the 82 million were going to end their white power, and they saw Jan. 6 as their last chance to save it. The Capitol still stands, but the rest of us are going to be spending decades cleaning up their mess.
History lesson
Philadelphia Police carry a protester away from a July 4, 1966 anti-Vietnam War protest held at Independence Hall. A new study proves police are twice as likely to break up a left-wing demonstration than a right-wing one, like Wednesday's storming of the U.S. Capitol.
In the end, as the FBI and other agencies step up their investigation of the Jan. 6 insurrection, there will likely be hundreds of arrests. But the now-under-fire Capitol Police arrested only 13 rioters while the attack was underway, and only a few dozen more were busted by cops for violating the 6 p.m. curfew. No one must have been more shocked by this than the survivors of the May 1971 anti-Vietnam War protests in Washington, one of the largest demonstrations in American history. In marked contrast to last week’s light police presence, the heavy-handed tactics from the administration of Richard Nixon included secretly canceling a national-park permit for the protests and then sending in a whopping 12,000 military troops to augment an already sizable police and National Guard presence. Over three days, an astonishing 12,614 people — many who were protesting peacefully and not violating any laws — were rounded up in the largest mass arrest in U.S. history. Authorities detained thousands at RFK Stadium because there was nowhere else to put them.
The shameful 1971 incident proved a point that seemed clear last Wednesday and has now been established with research: Police who are aggressive with leftist social-justice protesters treat right-wing disturbances with kid gloves. Last year’s Black Lives Matter protests as well as anti-lockdown rallies on the far right inspired the nonprofit Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project to dig deeper. It found police were twice as likely to break up the left-wing protests, and when they did disperse a gathering, cops used force against leftists more often (51% of the time) than against right-wingers (34%.) This unequal treatment under the law is one more way that American policing is broken."

The United States of TV High Schools
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
The 2020 back-to-school season is a particularly complicated and emotionally fraught one. Students, teachers, and parents across the country and the world have to alter their usual education routines in the interest of social distancing and public health. It’s certainly a difficult, stressful time for many. But thankfully, that’s why the pop culture gods created television.
American high schools on television are much more consistent, comfortable places that the real ones, even when they’re being terrorized by monsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Satan himself (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), or worst of all: Samuel “Screech” Powers (Saved by the Bell). The landscape of fictional TV high schools is a rich and diverse one. But there are quite a few of them. And that raises the question: where are all these places anyway?
Here we have researched and gathered the location of every notable TV high school we can find. Some are set in real cities in real states, some are set in fictional cities in real states, and some are just off the grid entirely. So without further ado, here are the high school settings of some of TV’s most popular young adult shows.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer – Sunnydale California
Sunnydale High School
Sunnydale is a peaceful California town. It has all your usual features – nice people, great restaurants, a gateway known as the Hellmouth that connects our dimension to demons. Buffy and the rest of her Scooby gang attended Sunnydale High before moving on to University of California at Sunnydale. Sunnydale is fictional but is very likely analogous to the real-life Sunnyvale, California.
Saved by the Bell – Pacific Palisades, California
Bayside High School
Bayside High School is one of the most enduring concepts from Saved by the Bell’s four seasons. Some TV shows take place in high schools. Saved by the Bell is a high school show. The city in which Bayside resides is never revealed but filming occurred in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The O.C. – Newport Beach, California
Harbor High School
The grandiose Harbor High School was enough to give many a young millennial in the mid-2000s supreme high school envy. Imagine walking around in the beautiful Orange County weather as Ryan Atwood (Ben McKenzie) and Seth Cohen (Adam Brody) reminisce about that morning’s perfect bagel breakfast. Newport Beach is a real city in California. Harbor High School is semi-fictional in that the new high school in Newport Beach is known as Newport Harbor High School. Private Catholic college Mount Saint Mary’s stands in for Harbor High on the show.
Teen Wolf – Beacon Hills, California
Beacon Hills High School
The fictional town of Beacon Hills, California is the main setting of MTV’s beloved 2011 Teen Wolf reboot. The town is supposedly named as such due to its “beacon” effect in attracting supernatural creatures. Many of those teenage supernatural creatures prowl the halls of Beacon Hills High School.
Veronica Mars – Neptune, California
Neptune High School
Neptune, California is one of the most well thought-out fictional cities in the high school drama canon. It has some detailed geographical features, a thriving local government, and even its own 90909 zip code! Neptune High has a similarly lived-in feel. Don’t forget to get those Pirate points, everyone! The real city of Oceanside, California stood in for much of Neptune and Neptune High.
13 Reasons Why – Crestmont, California
Liberty High School
Due to ease of filming, many fictional California high schools reside in the southern part of the state. Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why switches things up a bit by taking place in NoCal. Crestmont is the town named in the books the TV series is based on. In the show, the characters hail from the Evergreen County that surrounds it. Liberty High School is where the youth of 13 Reasons Why go to learn…and also learn devastating truths about one another.
Community – Greendale, Colorado
Greendale Community College
Greendale Community College isn’t technically a high school, but many within the show’s universe would argue that a degree from Greendale is basically on par with a high school education. Greendale has a rich fictional history dating back to the 1970s and including real life actor Luis Guzman as an alum. Community creator Dan Harmon based Greendale on his own experiences at Glendale Community College in California.
Gilmore Girls – Stars Hollow, Connecticut
Stars Hollow High School
Stars Hollow is crucial to the mythology and success of Gilmore Girls. The town is a fictional hamlet 30 miles outside of Hartford, Connecticut and was loosely based on the real life towns of Washington Depot, West Hartford, and New Millford. Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is originally from Los Angeles and was inspired to set her new series in Connecticut following a vacation to the Mayflower Grace hotel in Washington, Connecticut. Stars Hollow High is where Rory Gilmore gets her education. The school’s sports teams are the Minutemen.
Stranger Things – Hawkins, Indiana
Hawkins High School
The Internet is flooded with queries as to whether Hawkins, Indiana of Stranger Things is a real place. It is not, and that is certainly for the best otherwise our own world would be teeming with monsters from the Upside-Down. Hawkins High School is the location of some truly traumatic events in Stranger Things from the Demogorgon’s destruction to the Snowball Dance.
Dawson’s Creek – Capeside, Massachusetts
Capeside High School
Dawson’s Creek creator Kevin Williamson intended for this ‘90s teen show to take place in his native North Carolina. WB executives had other plans, however, and wanted the show set in Boston. Williamson came up with a compromise by creating the fictional Cape Cod hamlet, Capeside, Massachusetts. The show was mostly filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. Capeside High School is where Dawson, Pacey, Joey, Jen, and the rest of the crew got their education…when they weren’t hanging out at that darn creek.
Freaks and Geeks – Chippewa, Michigan
William McKinley High School
Though many things in Michigan are named after the Chippewa tribe, including Chippewa County, there actually isn’t a city bearing that name. That makes this Detroit suburb on Freaks and Geeks entirely fictional. Chippewa is named after Chippewa Valley High School that creator Paul Feig attended. The school is named after 25th U.S. President William McKinley. For some reason, he’s a pretty popular choice for fictional school names…perhaps because his tenure in office was short and he doesn’t have a lot of real high schools named after him.
Gossip Girl – New York, New York
Constance Billard School for Girls
Well, this is a first for our list. Gossip Girl is set on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and its depiction of a gaudy all-girls high school is in keeping with that community’s ostentatious displays of wealth. Serena van der Wooden, Blair Waldorf and friends all attend Constance Billard School for Girls where many alumni go on to attend prestigious colleges. Constance Billard’s “sister” school is St. Jude’s School for Boys.
Roswell – Roswell, New Mexico
Roswell High School
This one is a bit of a layup as The WB’s (later CW’s) supernatural teenage series Roswell is adapted from the Roswell High book series. Of course, Roswell High School was always going to play a big role in this one. The 2018 reboot continues to take place in Roswell High School in Roswell, New Mexico.
One Tree Hill – Tree Hill, North Carolina
Tree Hill High School
One Tree Hill takes its name from a U2 song off of Joshua Tree…and also from the fact that it’s set in Tree Hill, North Carolina. Tree Hill is fictional but the show was chiefly filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. Tree Hill High School is a big factor on One Tree Hill, especially since the town is so fond of the Tree Hill Ravens boys basketball team.
Glee – Lima, Ohio
William McKinley High School
For many of the kids on Glee, their biggest fear in life is never amounting to anything after high school and becoming a “Lima Loser.” This is because Glee is set in the (real) Ohio city, Lima, which is about 80 miles south of Toledo. Of course, as Glee went on, the Lima setting came to be quite ridiculous as more and more famous people just happened to be traipsing through town but that’s a topic for another time. The high school from which the titular glee club operates out of is once again William McKinley High School (like Freaks and Geeks and The Wonder Years).
A.P. Bio – Toledo, Ohio
Whitlock High School
Northwest Ohio turns out to be surprisingly fertile territory for fictional high schools. A.P. Bio is set in Toledo (which is a real place obviously) as a nod from the show’s creator Mike O’Brien to his hometown. It’s unclear why the high school that Jack Griffin teaches at is known as Whitlock but it’s got a pretty strong color scheme with gold and blue and a cool Ram mascot.
My So-Called Life – Three Rivers, Pennsylvania
Liberty High School
Three Rivers is a fictional suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. And that’s fitting given that Pittsburgh sits on three rivers – the Allegheny, the Monongahela, and the Ohio. “Three Rivers” is often used in many brands from the city. Within Three Rivers is Liberty High School, which was attended by Angela Chase and friends. The My So-Called Life Wiki actually has a class schedule for each character if that’s something you might be interested in. Exterior shots of the school are of University High School in Los Angeles.
Pretty Little Liars – Rosewood, Pennsylvania
Rosewood High School
From one side of Pennsylvania to the other. Freeform’s pulpy teenage mystery series is set in Rosewood, Pennsylvania, which is a fictional suburb of Philadelphia. The setting might be loosely based on the real Rosemont, Pennsylvania. The Liars spend much of their time at Rosewood High School before matriculating to nearby Hollis College.
Boy Meets World – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
John Adams High School
Boy Meets World takes place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and its suburbs. The characters don’t frequently make mention of their surroundings and current city, but the show does confirm it…as if all the Flyers, Phillies, ‘76ers, and Eagles paraphernalia didn’t make it obvious. Boy Meets World starts with Cory Matthews in Jefferson Elementary before moving onto John Adams High School and eventually Pennbrook University.
Friday Night Lights – Dillon, Texas
Dillon High School
Once more with feeling: Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose. Friday Night Lights, both the brilliant NBC series and multimedia franchise around it, has deep ties to Texas. The show is set in the fictional western Texas town of Dillon (and eventually East Dillon). But Buzz Bissinger’s original book and the movie it was adapted into take place in the real western Texas town of Odessa. Both Odessa and Dillon’s respective football teams are known as the Panthers. Friday Night Lights, the show, did the majority of its filming in and around Austin, Texas for all five seasons. It’s a miracle the actors were able to stay in shape with all that barbecue floating around.
The Vampire Diaries – Mystic Falls, Virginia
Mystic Falls High School
A lot of these small towns have a “dark secret,” huh? Mystic Falls, Virginia’s dark secret is that it has a long history of vampires, werewolves, and witches dating back to its founding in the 1800s. Mystic Falls High School is where many of those attractive young vampires, werewolves, and witches get their education. Mystic Falls is a fictional town in Virginia located between Lynchburg and Charlottesville. It’s name in the Vampire Diaries book series was “Fell’s Church” but the TV show had to change that due to it being too similar to the real city of Fall’s Church, Virginia.
That ‘70s Show – Point Place, Wisconsin
Point Place High School
Point Place, Wisconsin and its accompanying Point Place High School are both fictional locations where Eric Foreman, Jackie Burkhart, Michael Kelso, Steven Hyde, Donna Pinciotti, and Fez all live and attend school. What’s interesting about Point Place, Wisconsin is that it does not seem to have a consistent location within the state. At times it is described as a suburb of Green Bay in the north. Other times, however, the characters are able to make it to Kenosha in the south in no time at all. Point Place High School is located at 2120 South Michigan Ave., which is a reference to a Rolling Stones instrumental track recorded at the same address in Chicago.
Riverdale – Riverdale, ???
Riverdale High School
Where is gritty Archieverse teen drama, Riverdale, set? Uh…well, Riverdale. Where is Riverdale? Your guess is as good as ours. Many fans have selected New York state as the most likely location. The series describes Riverdale as being in Rockland County. The only Rockland County in the U.S. is in New York, close to Archie Comics’ headquarters in Pelham, New York. Wherever Riverdale may be, the school that Archie and friends attend is Riverdale High School. Its colors are blue and gold and its teams are called the Bulldogs.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina – Greendale, ???
Baxter High School
In the Archieverse canon that contains Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Greendale is a neighboring town to Riverdale, on the opposite side of the Sweetwater River. Greendale, like a shocking amount of fictional U.S. towns, is built over a mouth to hell. Baxter High School is Greendale’s local public high school, attended by Sabrina Spellman and her friends. Its sports teams are known as the Ravens and they are Riverdale’s archrivals.
Daria – Lawndale, ???
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Lawndale High School
What name could better capture the bland suburban ennui of MTV’s Daria than “Lawndale?” Lawndale is not a real place and Daria’s co-creator, Glenn Eichler, won’t even commit to setting it in a particular state, noting only that it is probably a mid-Atlantic suburb of a city like Baltimore. Lawndale High School is one of the most frequently occurring settings within Lawndale and where Daria and Jane go to stand around lockers and be cynical.

Excerpt from this New York Times story:
Insurers are quietly reducing their exposure to fire-prone regions across the Western United States, putting new pressure on homeowners and raising concerns that climate change could eventually make insurance unaffordable in some areas.
Officials in California, Washington, Montana and Colorado are getting more complaints from people whose insurance companies have refused to renew their coverage. The complaints follow years of record-setting wildfires in both size and cost, a trend that scientists expect to continue as global warming accelerates.
“I think that we are not far away from a lot of weather-related events being too expensive for most people to purchase comprehensive coverage,” said Carolyn Kousky, executive director of the Wharton Risk Center at the University of Pennsylvania. “What happens then is the big question.”
On Tuesday, California’s Department of Insurance issued a report quantifying that pullback. For the ZIP codes most affected by the wildfires in 2015 and 2017, the number of homeowners dropped by their insurance companies jumped 10 percent between 2017 and 2018.
In the 10 California counties with the most homes in high-risk areas, the number of homeowners’ policies written by major insurers, whose rate increases must be approved by state regulators, fell by 5 percent between 2015 and 2018, the department said.
Another way of measuring the growing reluctance of insurers is the increase in demand for the state’s FAIR plan, which is effectively prohibited from turning away customers but typically charges higher premiums as a result. In those same 10 highest-risk counties, the number of homeowners getting coverage through that plan increased 177 percent while staying flat statewide.
“By not being able to find insurance, you then in turn can’t sell your home. If you can’t sell your home, then it affects the local property taxes,” said Ricardo Lara, California’s insurance commissioner. “This is really creating chaos.”

Measles Outbreak Infects 695, Highest Number Since 2000
The number of measles cases in the United States has ascended to 695, the most elevated yearly number recorded since the illness was pronounced disposed of in this nation in 2000, government wellbeing authorities said on Wednesday.
The complete has now outperformed the past high of 667 set in 2014, as per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The infection has been identified in 22 states.
Most cases are connected to two huge and clearly inconsequential flare-ups. One is focused in Orthodox Jewish people group in New York City and its rural areas; that flare-up started in October and as of late spread to Orthodox people group in Michigan.
The other flare-up started in Washington State.
“The longer these flare-ups proceed, the more prominent the possibility measles will again get a supported toehold in the United States,␝ the C.D.C. said in an announcement.
The infection for the most part has stricken families that don't immunize their kids, and the C.D.C. accused вђњorganizations that are purposely focusing on these networks with wrong and deceiving data about vaccines.вђќ
The organization engaged Americans to look for guidance from their family specialists instead.

The New York episode was set off by Americans who had visited Israel, where cases have been spreading in Orthodox people group since early a year ago. City authorities have brought exceptional measures to take action against protection from vaccination.
Mayor Bill DeBlasio pronounced a highly sensitive situation and compromised occupants of four Brooklyn ZIP codes with $1,000 fines in the event that they wouldn't immunize.
Twelve summonses have been given up until this point, the city wellbeing division said; individuals who don't answer them can be fined $2,000. City authorities shut a yeshiva preschool for damaging inoculation orders.
Rockland County, N.Y., the focal point of another episode, at first banned unvaccinated kids from all indoor open spots, including schools, shopping centers, grocery stores, eateries and places of love.
After a court hindered that request, the area rather banned from open spaces any individual who had measles side effects or who had as of late been presented to the sickness, undermining them with fines of up to $2,000 a day.
There have been no affirmed measles passings in this nation, however authorities trust it is simply an issue of time. Many unfortunate casualties вђ" a large portion of them small kids вђ" have been hospitalized.
[Here’s our full inclusion about the measles outbreak.]
Two of the cases identified in New York City were in pregnant ladies, the city wellbeing division said. The infection can cause unsuccessful labors or stillbirths.
Even with present day therapeutic consideration, the sickness regularly kills around one out of each 1,000 unfortunate casualties, as indicated by the C.D.C.
Pneumonia and encephalitis вђ" expanding of the mind вђ" are the most widely recognized extreme difficulties, and scourges among malnourished youngsters who can't get present day medical clinic care have death paces of 10 percent or increasingly, as indicated by the World Health Organization.
Measles is among the most infectious of sicknesses. Infection bound beads can drift in still indoor air for as long as two hours after somebody tainted has hacked or sniffled. Up to 90 percent of individuals who are uncovered will get the infection in the event that they are not immunized.
The antibody is viewed as extremely protected, and two portions are around 97 percent successful at presenting resistance. The immunization is typically given at ages 1 and 5, however during flare-ups pediatricians may offer it to solid youngsters as youthful as a half year old.
Around the world, measles cases fell 80 percent somewhere in the range of 2000 and 2016, with passings dropping to 90,000 every year from 550,000. Be that as it may, two years back, cases started bouncing back, driven by a mix of destitution, fighting, tight antibody supplies and, in certain nations, dithering about inoculation.
Earlier this month, the W.H.O. said there were three fold the number of measles cases far and wide this year as there were in the initial three months of 2018.
Outbreaks of a huge number of cases have happened as of late in poor or war-torn nations like Madagascar, Ukraine and Yemen. Yet, case numbers are additionally moving in affluent nations with present day social insurance frameworks, similar to Israel, Britain, France and Italy. Passings from measles have happened in those countries.
Before measles immunization ended up across the board in the United States in 1963, up to 4,000,000 Americans got measles every year, the C.D.C. said. Of the approximately 500,000 cases that were accounted for to restorative specialists, around 48,000 were hospitalized, 4,000 created encephalitis, and 400 to 500 died.
Nationally, since the mid-1990s, in excess of 91 percent of American youngsters have been immunized against measles. (Anybody conceived before 1957 is accepted to have had the ailment as a youngster and to be insusceptible to it.)

Immunization levels change from state to state, to a great extent reliant on how simple state lawmaking bodies make it to get exceptions. All states license exceptions for kids who are susceptible to the antibody, have a bargained invulnerable framework or have another medicinal motivation to maintain a strategic distance from it.
Some states license religious exclusions, despite the fact that no significant religion restricts inoculation, and a couple of states additionally grant вђњphilosophicalвђќ or вђњpersonal choiceвђќ exceptions.
Only Mississippi, West Virginia and California permit exclusively medicinal exceptions; California recently had a lenient law, however it transformed it after the measles flare-up that started at Disneyland in 2014. Presently the state has high inoculation rates among kindergartners.
Some states with high immunization rates have вђњpockets of unvaccinated people,вђќ the C.D.C. said. At different occasions, some religious minorities like Orthodox Jews and the Amish in Ohio have had low immunization rates.
Some rich liberal networks, as Vashon Island in Washington State, have additionally had low rates. As of late conservative gatherings contradicted to immunizations have jumped up, for example, Texans for Vaccine Choice, which is related with the Tea Party.
