The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee is a wonderful, amazing place but wow the comments on their social media make me uncomfortable.
#too many ara types not realizing tes is an aza-affiliated institution#‘we need to convince more zoos to release their elephants to the sanctuary!’#‘release’???#elephants are endangered and we need captive breeding#we also need tes to provide a retirement home for aging elephants as well as a refuge for those from poor husbandry situations#the elephant sanctuary
