it is not, I'm just like this as a person, but as a dunmeshi enjoyer the comparison does make me laugh
I can't decide if Marcille would be more conflicted or relieved about eating a Pasta Beast 🤔

[naturalist voice] ah, the dragongirls and boys have located the mighty pasta beast and- oh. Oh my.
Well, beloved audience, this is what a draconid feeding frenzy looks like. We are truly privileged to be capturing this moment on film.
*deep breath*
Majestic.

So THAT'S what y'all tagging the pasta beast "bugsnax" are talking about!
... yeah that's a fair comparison

so full disclosure I didn't set out to compose a poem to that particular cadence, the first couple lines just came into my head and I went with it
but I guess I'm an honorary beastie boy now

@lady-inkyrius Short answer: sometimes!
I've never actually heard it pronounced (in English) any way but /kæl'zoʊn/ and didn't realize that there were English speakers saying it any other way until I started getting the occasional confused comment about the rhyming of calzones and bones, and that it was said
/kæl'zoʊni/
It sounds like your typical pronunciation is closer to the Italian, which was the only variation I had been familiar with before. since I was writing in English I went with the English pronunciation (that I knew of)
